This place is awesome! We walked in pretty late for our son's winter formal outfit and they were nothing but nice and helpful. They exceeded all of our expectations with their attentiveness and they're knowledge. Put our whole outfit together and home we went, all under an hour. They were pretty busy but everyone left happy. Generally I'm okay with Friar Tux shops, but this one in particular has caused me and my friends quite a headache recently. A close friend was getting married, and all of his groomsmen (myself included) came to this Friar Tux to get our matching suits ordered. They rather quickly measured us, did some quick fitting of random garments to make sure the measurements were correct, and the paperwork was filled out. Weeks go by until the day arrives when we're to pick up our suits. I come in to try on the suit and while the fit and cut are excellent, it's the wrong suit color. The person who wrote down the suit specs put down the wrong color SKU in their system, and as a result the entire groomsmen party had incorrect suits. Panic ensues. We discuss the issue, which is dire because the wedding is in just a few days, and they're certain they can have all of the proper suits tailored in just a day so that everyone would have the time to drive up to the wedding location. Later that day, however, they redact their promise, instead stating they'll have the suits ready a day after the prior promise. This means that many of the groomsmen won't be able to try on their suits prior to the wedding. Fast-forward to the day of the wedding, all of the groomsmen are getting dressed. My (corrected) suit fits perfect, but it's obvious that Friar Tux never bothers to clean their ties, as mine reeks of cigarette smoke. Thanks for that. Meanwhile, the other groomsmen are putting on their suits and finding that certain parts don't fit properly. For some, their pants are extremely tight (so tight they can't sit down). For others, the shirt sleeves aren't long enough. These, of course, are the people who weren't able to try on their suits ahead of time to ensure a proper fit (all because Friar Tux screwed up the order). Fortunately the wedding went fine, but this particular Friar Tux put undeserved stress and worry on not only the already stressed-out bride, but the entire wedding party who were unsure if the groomsmen would even be dressed. I would've given them 1 star, but at least my suit was well-tailored. It's not that I don't recommend Friar Tux as a general franchised business, but I would be very very careful when ordering suits from this particular one. read more

First off, Friar Tux in general is awesome! I first visited their online store to request swatches and created an account for my wedding. They came highly recommended from my family members who used them in the past. They were diligent in following up with me to make an appointment to come in to the store to choose some styles. I was a little nervous about the process since as a female, I know absolutely nothing about suits or tuxes. However, the whole experience was pain-free and I even learned a lot thanks to the great service we received from Trevor. We were looking for a grey tux, which limited our selection, but we found one that was perfect. We had a bit of an odd request for an ascot instead of a bow tie, but Trevor informed us of our options. One of the best things is our family members can visit the Friar Tux closest to them at different times to get fitted and to pick up. And they can visit anytime up to a month before the wedding! Definitely reasonable time frame. We only needed 3 tuxes, so we weren't able to receive a multi-tux discount (I believe you need 5), but we were still eligible for the online discount so it definitely pays to go online and register for your event! We found Friar Tux by going to a bridal expo and hearing about one of their deals (free groom's suit & package with groomsmen rental). At first I thought it sounded too good to be true because you had to put some money down in order to receive the deal. But once my family and I and my husband actually went in the store, we were excited to see quite a variety of suits and some nice colors!! My dad and my husband quickly decided on some nice tuxes which completed my wedding colors. They both looked so handsome we were glad the guys were done in one day! We were also excited to find out there was a special promotion going on to get a $100 Visa gift card (which is only eligible for redemption AFTER the wedding). As for the actual pickup for the suits, the guys picked it up the day before, and getting measured was easy. Overall the transition was smooth and we had no complaints! My only critique would be that they were so busy that it was hard to get enough individualized attention. But overall for the price and quality of what you get, I would definitely go with Friar Tux! read more

Dan is the Man! I recently needed a tux for an event and they took care of it! I called Friday about 5pm and spoke with Dan and told him i had an event to attend on Saturday evening. He told me to get in by 8pm (Friday) and that they would have my suit ready by 12 pm on Saturday. This facility does not keep this inventory on site so they fit you and have it delivered to the store for pick up. It worked out fine. I returned it on Sunday 12-5 and the task was completed. The company affiliated with the suit rentals over there does not have any stores out here on the west coast that I could come in to get fitted without a purchase. I called a few other places that wouldn't do measurements without a purchase or rental, even after explaining the situation. Alyssia took me in as a walk-in and was very kind and professional. She performed a complimentary sizing and had me in and out within a reasonable amount of time, even with a store full of people at the closing hour. Best freak'in place to BUY a tux! I walked in and asked the associate directly that I need a European cut tuxedo...enter Eric Acuña Manager of Friar Tux. Like two peas in a pod, he read my mind, my fit, my size, kinda freaky but that's how good he is. I bought my tux, bow-tie, vest, shoes, cuff links for cheaper than I buy my regular Hugo Boss suits...like almost $400 bucks cheaper. My tuxedo is made of super 180 virgin wool, so even comparing apples to apples I have the fit I wanted, the style I needed, and ALL the accessories for DIRT CHEAP. Even when waiting for my tuxedo to arrive from Italy he kept me in the loop each week and like an accomplished writer, dotted every i and crossed each t. Fantastic customer service, the best I've ever had comparing to Nordstrom's, and the Hugo Boss stores. The service didn't stop with Eric though, it continued with the entire staff like they were serving happiness and awesome customer service in the water over there. Overdue update on this place, but let's go. So my experience here didn't go too well, but afterwards, the manager and corporate reached out to me resolve the situation. I expressed, it was too late but they still went out of there way to accommodate me. Friar Tux offered to fix the alterations but I respectfully declined. Unfortunately, they could not fulfill a refund request but did offer a gift card for the amount I was out. This was acceptable to for me, so with this persistence to make the situation better, I can definitely respect Friar Tux Shop and give them another shot for my next event. read more

I was one of many rental tux's obtained through this tux companies location and I'm extremely disappointed in my experience. The initial fitting took over two hours y someone who was clueless. The pants fitting took forever to get right and the same went for the shirt and jacket. Did get the shoe size right. This gentleman helping me didn't know how to measure and finally got someone to assist. Then when I went to pickup the tux weeks later the pants were embarrassingly short and one coat sleeve was 1 1/2" shorter than the other. Plus, the jacket sleeves and lower pant legs were not pressed. Since, none of this acceptable the young lady helping me said she would make the corrections after hours. This was the only positive part of my experience. Now, we had to come back a 3rd time to get the tux and when I dressed at the wedding one of the jacket buttons was very loose and soon popped off. Plus, the shirt collar was missing, which was to be included. All of this extra time, gasoline used and aggravation for a rental cost of almost $200. I will never go to that company store again. read more

My husband purchased a $270 suit for a wedding he was going to be a groomsmen in. Did the fitting, paid for the suit. Took home only the shoes that day. Waited weeks for the standard white shirt to be in stock. We had to keep calling and checking in, no one from the store followed up with us. Finally shirt arrived 5 weeks later. Staff was not helpful at all. Store doesn't even provide a garment bag for the expensive suit. Just plastic wrapped and handed it to us. Not impressed at all. read more

Wonderful! The sales staff was upbeat, happy to help in any way, and very knowledgeable about their products. I was greeted with a smile the moment I walked in. There were a few tie colors I wanted to see on the mannequin that they didn't have it. I was a bit leary having to choose from a bitty swatch since the color sometimes look different when you have a bigger piece. My wedding was small and my budget followed suit. If I had a larger budget I would have appreciated a few more options... but, they had just what we needed, so it worked out great. Everything turned out perfectly... I've gone to Friar Tux for 2 weddings: my sister's and my own. Service is excellent and quick: expect about 20 minutes and no more for the initial measurements and choosing a style and color. Service is polite, not rushed, and not pushing you to buy beyond what you want: If you want to look good for a special occasion, they will do it. Friar Tux also accommodated for me being a slim fit and were patient in going through a couple different style suits to see what fits best. Another accommodation was that (due to summer weather and outdoor reception), only myself as the Groom was wearing a jacket, and therefore my Best Man was without: They offered a cheaper rate for not renting 1 jacket. A final positive of Friar Tux is that they set a fitting appointment (2) days before my wedding, to actually try on the full suit that was ordered. If it doesn't fit or if I have any last-minute changes, they could have re-ordered via their local warehouse before the wedding. At any rate, Friar Tux is professional and has a methodical and efficient routine to renting suits. Thanks! read more
