Horrible!! First, they said they would give is a $100.00 gift certificate for getting 5 tuxes from them for our wedding. It turned out that I had to call the store 5 times after that just to get the gift certificate form. They I had to pay $4.95 for a $100 gift certificate. However, the $100.00 never came. It was rejected by the company because it wasn't a money order which would have cost me a total of $15.00. I am pissed because a company shouldn't offer a benefit to using their services and then make you pay for and go through the hassle of getting the promised benefit. Then I call to complain and apparently there is nothing that they can do... Even worse, 2 of the tuxes didn't fit my husband's best men at out wedding. Even though they got measured in the shop their tuxes didn't fit at our wedding and they had to go out, on the day of our wedding, and buy suits--poor guys ended up paying over $400 dollars and we couldn't even compensate them with the $100 gift certificate!!!!!!! NOT COOL--these people are scam artists with FALSE ADVERTISING!!!! read more

Came here on 4/28/2016 to rent a tux. It was pretty busy around 7pm, as a wedding party was there trying on their tuxedos as well as 3-4 other men were getting measured for tuxes. It's PROM month!! The lady that helped us was awesome! The whole process took only about 30-40 minutes. She clearly explained the details of the rental, as well as answered the many questions that we had for her. Plus the parking garage that is located on Maryland is free for the first 90 minutes! That was a definite plus for me, since there really isn't any street parking available. read more

Superior service. We went to Mens Warehouse and ended up being disappointed and arrived at Friartux with trepidation. We were greeted by Douglas Garcia that proceeded to help us with dilemma to find the right tux for our wedding. He manage to, based on a few questions able to narrow down what we were looking for and made some suggestions that we at first were not sure about and then discovered it was the right choice. I've rented tux's many times over the years (weddings, prom, birthday cotillions, etc), and never really had a "great" or "bad" experience at any shop. However, this time around I had an exceptionally AWESOME experience, so I felt inclined to leave a review. Friar Tux @ Glendale is an awesome shop! What made them stand out to me is their customer service: Juan and his coworker (forgot his name... kind of tall, short hair young dude, light skin) were extremely helpful, nice, attentive, and professional. I was fitted at a different Friar Tux location, but chose to pick up my tux @ Glendale. I opted to have 2 sizes of the jacket available to choose from at pickup, because at the time of the fitting 2 months prior I had the goal of shedding some weight. Though I did slim down, I didn't quite reach the level I was aiming for, so there wasn't a true clear winner between the 2 jackets. I tried on both many many times. Juan & the other guy were very patient, and spent time helping me decide which jacket to go with. Had they not provided the feedback, I probably would have decided on the jacket that was slightly looser, and in hindsight that would have been not the best choice. I looked great in the jacket I chose, thanks to them!! Additionally, I was super nervous about the wedding the next day because I was best man and had to give a speech. Juan really spent the time to make me feel better and hype me up about it, and he even shared a story about his own experience giving a speech at a wedding. Really helped ease the nerves, which I am super appreciative and thankful for. Highly recommend this shop! read more

this past weekend was our 2nd time renting from this location. first time was last may for a wedding and my son needed a tux. he enjoyed being fitted SO much that now he always wants to find an occasion to go rent from here. this past weekend we needed a nice suit for a trip down to san diego and they did not disappoint. Juon fitted my son both times and took care to explain things to him and make him feel comfortable... my son really likes him. they can get busy, so don't plan to just be in and out. also, the parking lot on the corner is no longer available, but there is a city parking in a structure right across the street and also further up the same block. it's 90 minutes free and not far at all. you can also put a deposit down on the suit and pay for the remainder when you pick it up. we rented it on a friday, but wouldn't be back in LA until that monday and they didn't charge us extra rental fees for keeping it. i've only dealt with Juon and Doug, but they're both really friendly and helpful. i'll probably be back next month and in july! read more

I needed the pants a little longer they altered it again just in time for my event on Friday. In fact it was ready the day before! Their service is amazing! I worked with Jessie and a couple of the other guys in the shop, they were all EXTREMELY nice and helpful every single time my husband and I were there! They were super patient and even fitted my husband twice and brought in his tux earlier to make sure it fitted him right since it was a new Michael Kors design. I would definitely use them again anytime we need formal wear and recommend them to all! This place is dreadful. One of the worst experiences I've had from anywhere. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The staff and in particular the manager Juan are useless. They do not know how to communicate with the customer and to each other to expedite the process. If I went into specifics this would be the longest review ever. I wish I would have never chose this place as an option, but I never realized it would be this difficult to deal with a tux shop, I mean how hard can it be? Doug was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was very chill, measured me, and gave me suggestions that were spot on with what I was going for and what fit me best.
