I was so happy the prices are pricey, but you are getting quality dresses. Ill also add when I found my mom of the quinceanera dress a few years back it was a great memory as well.

I have been to Gypsy Treasure several times in the past, but this was my first visit since they have moved to the Grossmont Center location (apparently about five years ago). I came in about 5 days before Halloween, primarily in search of makeup and a crown for my Day of the Dead festival look. When I walked in, the place was pretty hopping. However, I was quickly greeted at the makeup counter and walked through the white face paint options, and given information about some of the various color palettes. After some conversation and deliberation, I chose a white water-based face paint and a couple of color palettes. One was glow-in-the-dark. I then asked about flower crowns, and was surprised to find that they only had one. It was one of those cheesy costume kits that came with skeleton hand gloves and skull earrings, neither of which I wanted. However, the price was pretty inexpensive, so I purchased it just for the crown. I looked around for a hat for my husband's costume, but couldn't find exactly what he wanted, though they had some pretty unique hats. Gypsy Treasure has a large selection of costumes for rent, which appeared to be of much higher quality than the costumes for sale. I saw several cute vintage dresses and hats for women, as well as some pretty elaborate costumes. I did feel that several of the costume items in the front of the store were the same quality you would get from any Halloween store. However, I would definitely return for makeup, or if I had costume needs outside of the Halloween season.

I went through the racks and Trinity helped pill out the ones I was interested in, and then helped swap them out in the dressing room so that it wouldn't be too overwhelming. I explained that we weren't committed to buying just yet--we wanted to make sure both of my sons found something they liked, as I didn't want to go to two different places. Since measurements are necessary before trying anything on, the approach felt a little rushed and slightly pressured before we even had a chance to fully understand the rental process, available options, or pricing within our budget. Once both of my sons found suits they liked, the experience shifted in a more positive direction. However, during the measuring and fitting process, we were interrupted several times because Aaron had to step away to assist at the front desk. While I understand a manager may need to step in when necessary, there seemed to be enough staff available, and it would have been helpful to have another associate assist us to avoid the repeated interruptions. What likely could have been a 45-minute process ended up taking closer to an hour and a half to two hours. We were informed that payment was required upfront, which was fine, as we were already in the system and planned to return later in the week to complete everything. Aaron did provide us with a detailed copy of our order, which we appreciated since we were doing a full head-to-toe rental (everything except undergarments). After that, the process felt smooth and well-organized. We were told we could return the suits to any location, which was especially convenient since we would be in Irving for prom. Pricing is on the higher side--especially during prom season, which I understand is their busiest time--but they did offer a promotional discount that made it more manageable. Most importantly, my sons looked amazing. The suits were pristine, well-pressed, and overall a great choice for such a special occasion. One note: my oldest son's suit could have been sized down slightly, so I'd recommend making sure you're completely happy with the fit before leaving. They do offer overnight exchanges if needed, which is a great option--just be sure to allow enough time and consider picking up early to avoid any last-minute stress. Overall, despite a slightly rocky start and some interruptions, I would recommend them if you're looking for a convenient, one-stop shop for formalwear.

However, when my dress was delivered I came to pick it up and they tried to tell me it was out of stock after I already paid for it and i got a notification that it was delivered. They did not help me at all. They said they sent an email a couple of days before it was "delivered" saying it was out of stock. There was NO email. This was absolutely ridiculous and now I have no dress for prom. If you need a dress I don't recommend you waste your time here.
