Where to begin. We made an appointment and they made us wait an hour after appointment time. The kids suits one came with adult shoes, kids pants and an adult vest and the other one came with an adult vest and kids shoes and pants. Had multiple mixups with colors of ties and suits and multiple miss spellings of the same name, it felt disrespectful. Some of the men picked up ther order and it was missing half of the things they paid for. They lost measurements for guys that drove an hour just to get fitted. over all the staff of just mean. Describing what you like and they tell you they changed it only for your groomsmen to call you during pick up and confirm that the order was wrong. I was trying to be understanding but they messed up every aspect that they could. think this place is poorly operated and am extremely disappointed. Pretty sad customer service. Came in to get my groomsmen for my wedding fitted, when we arrived we scanned in and didn't wait too long for my name to be called. However the wait after that was about an hour, and even after there was nobody else in the store, they did not call us up, so I have no idea what they were doing in the back. After they fitted my dad they acted like they had no idea they were fitting my other three groomsmen as well, even though when I scanned in I put "Need to get fitted". They were completely clueless. The employee Chris made a comment I heard about being annoyed he had to fit the rest of us. Absolutely pathetic behavior. Overall a poor experience. I first found Friar Tux Shop at a bridal show in Temecula a few months back and I'm SO glad I did! Their deals for groomsmen rental discounts I believe are the same as Men's warehouse, but if I recall correctly, Men's Warehouse doesn't have a $60 Father of Bride discount that Friar's does! After leaving Men's Warehouse, we walked in and met with Calvin... Unfortunately, he was the only employee working and there was 2 other groups of people that also needed attention, but Calvin was able to juggle all 3 of us without any issue. For us, this place had a MUCH better selection of gray and silver tuxedos to match our wedding colors. Men's Warehouse really only had 2, while Friar had 7 different styles AND they were less expensive to boot! Additionally, their warehouse is in Anaheim, so all you need is a minimum of TWO DAYS without incurring any "rush fees" like Men's Warehouse... which was $20 extra even for 10 days before our wedding. If you're looking for a large selection of black suits and tuxes that you can browse in store, Men's is a decent place to go. I called on Tuesday-4/26, and they said they don't take appointments. My son and I went at 3:30pm that same day, and there was a line out the door! We followed the procedures, and my son was second in line. While we waited (less than 10 minutes), we saw all the displays. My son saw what he wanted. When they called his name, we placed our order, he was measured quickly and they had his tux available, even though his prom was 10 days away! Then we made our deposit. The whole process for him was under 30 minutes! I did compliment them on a well oiled machine on the process and all the workers were friendly and kind! The added bonus was that there was a lovely lady placing orders for combo corsage and boutineer, priced reasonably too! We had a one stop shopping experience that we were so grateful! At a black tie event to go to and I needed a new suit. I walked in and was treated very professionally from their well-trained staff. They didn't have the bowtie I wanted so they took one off the mannequin and gave it to me. Ben is a miracle worker!! I cannot say enough good things about this place. We were about to have a wedding disaster on our hands but Ben was able to save the day. Here's the story: My husband has accumulated several gray suits over the last few years from being a groomsman. A few weeks ago, we were getting ready to go to our friend's wedding when we realized that my husband's groomsman suit didn't match the other groomsmen. He had packed the wrong suit and the shades of gray were way different! We realized this about an hour and a half before the groomsmen had to be at the venue to start pictures. We walked into Friar Tux and explained the situation to Ben. He was able to grab a suit off a mannequin in the right color gray and scrounge up a pair of matching pants. He was able to give us all the tips to make sure the suits matched up as well as possible and even gave us a discount. We were able to leave the store with a suit rental for the night and the bride was never the wiser. We are so thankful for how fast and helpful the customer service here was! read more

Terrible staff, didn't respond to legitimate concerns about a suit that was clearly too small for the client. High rental prices. My experience was that I was renting 3 tuxedos for a wedding. My child is tall and the clerks did a terrible job of fitting him. On the day of picking up the tuxedos, my child tried on his, and it was clear to me that it was too small, but the chatty clerk ignored my concern. Additionally I was charged $30 per person for 'adjustments', but none were made and none were even considered by the horrendous staff. Another customer who was picking up asked if he could change the color of the tie, and the staff responded, no, our truck won't be able to deliver in time for your event. This is so lame, what good is trying anything on, if nothing can be done about an ill fitting suit. My child's cuffs on his white shirt extended about 4 inches past his coat sleeve. It looked ridiculous. I sincerely regret that we had to rent from Friar Tux. Avoid this place like Covid. read more

We were greeted right away and the gentleman helping us instantly started piecing together an awesome look for my son! We got him all fitted, came back a day later to do a final fitting and pick up the suit, and he wore it at his dance. "THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE MY SPECIAL DAY!!" She was balling. I was far away at that point, but the trails of mascara running to her dress were pretty clear signs. Not my wife, oh dear no. My brother's. HOW they found out who my brother was, we never figured out. One thing is certain. Anyone who says "does anyone object to this wedding" just KNOWS that someone is gonna show up to maniacally laugh as they ruin the day. Is that exactly what happened? Yes. See, everything was set. Every guest in a seat, every shined pair of shoes facing the anxious couple, each pocket equipped with a tissue to catch the tears which were undoubtedly on their way. Not a hair was out of place, and we were all waiting for the announcement of Mr. and Mrs. Wayne. And then this...guy...this killer of all dreams masquerading around as a marriage officiant goes and says it, right on queue. "If anyone can provide just cause as to why these two should not be lawfully wed, speak now or forever hold your peace" A split second before he said "peace", the lights went out. As people screamed and ran for the locked doors of the hall, A voice came over the PA System: "Peeeeeeace?" Wait, I knew that voice...how did I know that voice? "Everything else, I get. Oh loud and clear, Mr. preacher, I do. I come for the law, and my cause is just...but... peace? How could anyone hold such a boring thing? Far too... still. So dead, so lifeless in your hands. Wheres the excitement? wheres the...fun.. in holding your peace? Cheyne, who had his fiance tucked behind him, whispered to me. " Jay, quick...while he is monologue-ing, find a way to the car, and get us outta here." I snuck to the backside of the stage, and crawled on all fours while whispering our theme song in my head...I couldn't help it sometimes. That meniacal voice continued. " Something rolled through the darkness, and just as the dim emergency lights flicked on, 5 smoke bombs exploded around the room. The guests were going mad. Children crying, red-faced mothers letting out shrill screams through the fog, men frantically waving their jackets, trying to fan away the smoke. But over every other noise, his blood curdling cackle reigned supreme. The Joker was back. I was crawling through the air vents at this point, but that laugh stopped me in my tracks. Apparently, air vents are less load bearing at certain points. As i crashed through the ceiling at the other end of the hall, I saw Cheyne shaking his head at me. "SORRY MR. WAYNE!!" I shouted, and ducked under a jab from a knife-wielding clown. As Cheyne flicked away an incoming arrow like it was a toothpick, he replied, "YOU HAD ONE JOB, Jay...ONE JOB!!" We fought our way towards eachother, through bearded ladies and chainsaw juggling sideshows, but the joker was nowhere to be seen. The loudspeaker wheezed back to life. "Oh, I must've forgot to mention. I'm not there...now what fun would that be?!?! I show up, we hit eachother a few times, you put me in a cell, I escape....BORING, Wayne, boring. I thought we could, spice it up a bit. So, I've either attached a bomb to A- Your house, B- City Hall, C- the Gotham Dam, or D. All of the above... The only question is...when do i push this little red button? By the way, Mr. Wayne, theres no milk in your fridge...where DO you get your calcium?! AHAHAHAHAHAHA" Mr. Wayne left Jenna to be guarded by Green Lantern(poor choice, I thought), with a promise to return as soon as the city was safe. He actually went out of his way to explain everything to us and paired the vests, ties, along with the jacket we chose on the mannequin without a single complaint. My daughter recently had her wedding and they selected Friar tux for the formal wear. All 8 of the groomsmen and the groom were coming in from all over the country. These guys made it so easy for everyone to send in measurements and accommodate our needs. Many of the measurements were wrong when we did our fitting but Ben happily retook measurements and submitted changes and did everything to make our experience perfect. They even had their manager drive out from Anaheim to bring a new jacket for the groom and they made adjustments to pant length and vest for others in party. The customer service was top notch.
