Irene was extremely nice and helpful in offering realistic expectations for what could be altered, and was very transparent with costs. I recently got some JNCO jeans hemmed--mind you these are some incredibly thick pair of jeans--and they recreated the custom double stitching on both the inside and out of the pants. Came in December to start checking out suits for my groomsmen, they told us it's will this price including the all the alterations, now coming back in February to get final pricing and choose the suits, they changed the pricing now. Mattucci Tailoring is a bit on the high end, however they have always been my first choice for tailoring. I've trusted them for the past 15 years and they've always gone above and beyond. When hemming pants, they are always willing to match and distress the original hem and I always appreciated that. There has only been one time that I was unhappy with the length, and it was more of the materials "less forgiving" quality that was the issue. They quickly fixed the issue and no one is the wiser. I haven't purchased clothing from them, as of yet, but I might pick up a suit because of the high referrals I've read. read more

Irene was such an angel to work with! I worked with her over the course of 2 years because of my wedding needing to be postponed due to the pandemic. Both periods of time, she treated me and my wedding dress with the utmost care, superb skill, and lots of love! Her and the ladies in the shop left me feeling snatched and so encouraged, and they applauded me every time I tried on my dress at the shop, which really helped to calm my nerves. I ended up gaining a little bit of weight between the first set of fittings right before the pandemic to the fittings that happened 1.5 years later when my wedding was finally able to happen. But Irene was able to use her genius to artfully and carefully take out my dress a bit in order for it to fit me properly, while still maintaining the integrity and flow of the very specific and intricate pattern that my dress had all over it. (It would have looked really bad if this operation was done by someone who didn't know what they were doing, but Irene was a true master of her craft, so I was in amazing hands!) My dress turned out SO beautiful, I felt like an absolute queen the whole day!
