Sometimes you just need to go back to the basics. Fricanos has the unique ability of being both wonderfully nostalgic and wonderfully delicious. The menu is simple. It's pizza. If you want an appetizer, you can grab some chips off the wall. They have a full bar and you can still get a cocktail for under $10 which is virtually unheard of. There's wine and beer available too and if and if you're feeling fancy they'll even bring you a glass. This place is an institution. A common thread that weaves together so many collective memories of good pizza and cherished time spent with those enjoying it..

First time at the Grand Haven location. They only serve pizza here, but it is the classic, gooey, greasy thin crust pizza that Fricanos is famous for. They were busy but our server was quick and got our food out to us in a jiffy. The restaurant is basically an old house, it's been open since the 1940's. It gives it a homey and quaint feel. Highly recommend any of the Fricanos locations!

Greasiest pizza I've ever eaten and I feel my arteries clogging as I took a bite. The pizza got grease all over the table and the pizza was flavorless. Also not very many options just same size pizza and pick toppings, no sauces or Parmesan.

Best Pizza EVER! Anywhere in the world, I will return to Grand Haven for the best pizza!

Great Pizza and service is always the best. Thin crust with excellent back on the crust. The tablecloths are the best and I have a placemat framed.

Consistent, decent pizza. GREAT prices. Drinks & 12" thin crust pizza are the only options. Old house is very cool.

Yummy pizza at this local place. Cute, homey feel. The pizza was good, but very thin crust.

We drove half hour out of our way for this. This was the worst tasting cardboard pizza we have ever experienced!

Not good. I'm sorry but it was not good at all. Soggy crust, limited toppings, flavor lacking.

Last night we ordered 2 pizza's and they were over cooked and very dry. Always loved Fricano's but did not get good last night.

Lack of additional toppings such as onion, bacon, mushrooms and others. Pizzas should be customizable.

It was super bland. It was clearly not slow roasted with any herbs or in any meat/vegetable broth. The sauce was bland. I've enjoyed this classic Italian dish at many other Italian restaurants, so this was particularly disappointing. My friend got the mussel and frites. Multiple mussels were still closed shut when served. For such a small number of mussels, I would have hoped they would have replaced the closed mussels rather than expect the customer to pry them. The only dish I enjoyed was the mozzarella sticks appetizer. I came in with a very large party, and the service was solid. Do not recommend.

It is an adorable restaurant, very comfortable, and smells like grandma has been cooking all day on a Sunday. Our server was INCREDIBLE, brutally honest when we asked questions or for her opinion. My husband ordered the chicken Alfredo and noted that it was very bland with "crunchy" pieces throughout. I ordered the shrimp scampi, on recommendation of our server, and the dish itself was incredible, but the shrimp were very small and so rubbery and overcooked that they were nearly hard to chew. I told my husband that I would love that dish without the shrimp, as the shrimp detracted from the dish overall. We were a little disappointed they didn't offer any sort of salad or bread service. My house Pinot Grigio was tasty and paired great with our meal. It's literally within walking distance of our home, so we may try it again down the road, but it just wasn't the local home run I was hoping for.

She also whips up the custom, creative mimosa recipes, kudos to her for her awesomeness! I ordered the Shakshuka, flavorful, delicious, would order again. Even as a non-vegan, it was satisfying and would recommend to everyone. Husband had the 1964 Worlds Fair Waffle, and it was tiny. Not what you envision when you think of Belgian waffles. He also ordered the Belgian Forest Bacon, again VERY small portion, so much so that at the end of the meal, he had to order a side of the Smashed Maple Sausage. Aside from the small portions of waffle, bacon, and sausage, the cheerful vibes here are contagious, and I'd dine here again in a heartbeat!
