    Mushroom Vegetable Rissoto
    Eduardo D.

After a round of golf with my 2 sons, we headed over to Notos to have a birthday dinner for one of my sons as his girlfriend's parents wanted to treat him. When we arrived, we Sat immediately as my son's girlfriend and her parents were seated As we looked over rhe menu I decided to get rhe Mushroom Risotto and a side of mashed potatoes. My youngest one wanted to get the Fire Roasted Peach Salmon. As we ordered, we made the server aware of his severe allergies. We asked if any of the ingredients had gluten, soy, eggs, peanut, tree nuts, or sesame. She was unsure and mentioned that the Rissoto in the dish is made of wheat. I asked if she was sure cause I was pretty sure it is made of rice but who knows. I also pointed out that the menu had a gluten free icon next to the dish. She was also unsure if any other allergens and she needed to check. She verified and we ordered it. When the food came, everything looked delicious. Halfway through my Mushroom Rissoto, the risotto suddenly was hard and under cooked. Really weird, so I didn't finish it. Also, for an Italian Restaurant, I thought we would get some Italian Bread while waiting for the food but we didn't. Very odd in my experience in going to Italian Restaurants. Overall, the views of Lake Michigan from the restaurant were awesome. The restaurant is on the beach. I was disappointed in the service and food. I gave it a 3 since my son enjoyed his food. I expected a bit more knowledge from the server. Also, I was looking forward to bread and olive oil but did not get any which was unusual in my experience in Italian dining.

Our server was great, drinks were good, the view was spectacular! I had the Margherita pizza, the crust was fantastic, otherwise the pizza was tasteless. The sauce was very bland, hardly any basil, I was really disappointed. If not for the view, I wouldn't go back.

The food is terrible! Went on 2/11/26 Ordered basic spaghetti with a side sausage. It was the portion for a child, and the one sausage link was overcooked and shrunk, $27. Asked for Angel hair, but only one pasta available for a supposedly Italian Restaurant! Sent it back because it was cold with only three other tables with customers! Two cocktails came to $31, total with tip & tax $69.62. Excellent server, not her fault! Only one good thing, the view. I will never go back

The food was great. The service impeccable. The ambiance and view... exactly what we were looking for. There are not many places to eat directly on the water(Lake Michigan)and we were so excited to find this place. Even though the yelp reviews only gave it three stars, we decided to try it anyways, and we were not disappointed at all.

Great beachside restaurant just south of downtown Grand Haven with two floors looking out on Lake Michigan. 1st floor is air conditioned. 2nd floor is open air. Beachside patio bar if you just want a drink. The staff was very friendly and the service was prompt. The meat balls were delicious, as was the house salad.

We had the most WONDERFUL experience at Noto's! The pizza was cooked to perfection, the staff was extremely friendly & we even got to meet Tony the owner himself! He shared a little with us how they opened shortly before covid & how they managed to survive through the shutdowns. I will FOREVER be dreaming about the Truffle & Mushroom pizza My absolute fav! My family & I cannot wait to come in next time for a delicious meal! Lovely music, not too busy & lots of seating. Don't miss this spot to soak in the beauty of Lake Michigan & enjoy a delightful meal & drink

Great location for the view, food is meh! We got 2 pizzas for takeout, had a picnic on the beach there and we saw this place and looked up their menu. The pizza sounded so good, wood oven, so right away I was in! The margarita pizza, I was expecting to have real fresh mozzarella on it and more basil, idk it just wasn't that great! The mushroom pizza tasted like the mushrooms were not cooked through, very very chewy, and they were not too generous with the topics on the pizzas. Lots of crust and not enough cheese. The 2 pizzas took 45 minutes, when I went it the place looked pretty empty so not sure why it took so long. Idk maybe the other food might be good here but the pizzas were meh, nothing special, dough was a bit hard and dry, it just didn't hit the spot for us unfortunately. Also it's pretty pricey for individual pizzas.

Got the linguine vongole in white sauce. Came with a heft amount of clams! Server was super sweet. We sat outside and there was a nice cool breeze. Ahi fish tacos were ok, not something we preferred. The calamari was good!

Perch meal - $45.85 with 20% tip is the total I paid.

Notos, located on lakefront property, has a spectacular view. Food is good, too. It's one of our favorite spots.

It is an adorable restaurant, very comfortable, and smells like grandma has been cooking all day on a Sunday. Our server was INCREDIBLE, brutally honest when we asked questions or for her opinion. My husband ordered the chicken Alfredo and noted that it was very bland with "crunchy" pieces throughout. I ordered the shrimp scampi, on recommendation of our server, and the dish itself was incredible, but the shrimp were very small and so rubbery and overcooked that they were nearly hard to chew. I told my husband that I would love that dish without the shrimp, as the shrimp detracted from the dish overall. We were a little disappointed they didn't offer any sort of salad or bread service. My house Pinot Grigio was tasty and paired great with our meal. It's literally within walking distance of our home, so we may try it again down the road, but it just wasn't the local home run I was hoping for.

Shrimp scampi might as well have been a stick of butter and noodles with way overcooked shrimp. A…read moretip to know when shrimp is cooked enough is if it's shaped like a 'c' it's cooked. If it's a 'o' then it's overcooked ...well these were chewy if that helps confirming it was overcooked. The lasagna was more cheesy and noodles. Not much meat at all. It came with 2 pieces of bread and they tasted awful. FYI-They charge for bread FYI-they add 3% for credit card For as busy as they were I'm not understanding how people haven't questioned the food. Our server didn't even question that we left 3/4 plate and didn't want to take any home.

The cherry spritz, mama I dream of it still . My only qualm is that I am a stickler for good glassware ~ I would like to see the beverages with a stem. Popping in on the Friday after Thanksgiving with a friend around 9:30pm, here's my experience. 1) Cocktails: Their menu is large and includes cocktails, wine, beer, non-alcoholic drinks, and small bites. My friend ordered a seasonal cocktail and I started with the Passion Spritz, which was my favorite with passion fruit and guava. For my second drink, I ordered the French 75, which was average. It has good taste, but it came with a large ice cube. The cocktail was more watered down than ones I've had chilled v. with an ice cube. 2) Service: It was attentive and friendly. Throughout our stay, the servers checked in with us at appropriate times. All were approachable. 3) Space: It's simple yet chic with plenty of places to sit at the bar, at tables, and on couches.
