This sports bar nicely designed on my opinion. I do like how some of the tables have signatures on them. The music is a bit loud, which is good with it being a sports bar. The server is very sweet, friendly, and professional. She does check in at the right times. The BBQ Bacon Cheeseburger (I had it without the bacon) is delicious. The warm BBQ sauce is perfect on it. I ordered some chicken tenders and fried cheese to go. The chicken was very saucy and juicy I ordered like a 10 piece and only ate maybe like 3/4 . I waited 20+ minutes before anyone came to the register so I could pick up my carryout order and then the employee just disappeared. It's been 40+ minutes since my order was supposed to be ready and it's empty in here?! Did they send all of the employees home and forget to turn off the "open" sign?! read more

First, Fricker's are very commonly a great place to eat, and I believe this one is a exception to the fricker's standards that are set. Of course we didn't expect much given the 2 star rating and the 13 health code violations. As soon as we walk in no one is at the front desk, and it isn't until we walk into the bar that we are told we can sit anywhere we'd like. As we walk over to the table, I look over and see a person vaping, at first I thought maybe it was a customer and this was a one time thing, but they end up behind the bar shortly after. We end up waiting about 5-10 minutes just to see a waiter, even when workers are just standing around talking. We finally get someone to come and take our drink orders and eventually our food orders. So we wait. As we do so, I look over and see another person vaping, once again someone behind the counter, now talking to a friend that was clearly not a coworker. We aren't regulars in Ohio, so we thought maybe this vaping at work thing was legal in Ohio. We look it up and find out it's still illegal and obviously being ignored at this establishment. We're still waiting for our food during this time and waiters continue to do absolutely nothing even as more and more people are coming in. Eventually getting to the point that those people were never helped and they ended up leaving. The only waiter actually waiting disappeared a lot and would just randomly show back up and ask what it was we and any other table they were waiting on needed again. The food was fine, wings were ok but everything was cold. We wanted to watch the hockey game so we asked if we could get it on TV, we were told that they could do it but after 15 minutes of sitting around waiting, the game was almost over and they hadn't turned it on. Overall, the 2 star rating almost seemed too kind for what we saw out of it. The waiter serving us was the only person who seemed to be waiting on anyone, even with 4+ waiters there at the time. Overall we had high expectations, with it being a franchised Fricker's. So what we saw was questionable as to the safety, environment, and overall quality of the restaurant. read more

I take my three grandkids out for dinner every Thursday. Wherever they want to go, I'm happy to spend time with them and share a meal and time with them. Last night's choice was Frickers. I worked in the area and have eaten here many times. Last night is my last time here. 20+ minutes sitting there waiting for someone to take our dring order. Another 15 before drinks showed up. We were there an hour and a half waiting to be waited on, waiting on drinks, and waiting on our food. we didn't order anything crazy. Chicken wings and fries. Frickers has a great variety of food, even for those who are healthy eaters. The facility was clean and the staff were friendly. Food came out looking good and it tasted great. We had a small group of 15 for a co worker Frickers stepped up when another spot declined to service a group of 20 or less. When I called 2 days before our party, They said no problem they would do whatever they could,We step everything up had our party, our waitress did a great job getting drinks and food for everyone. Haven't eaten here in 7-8 years, and it'll be that long again after today. We arrived around 11:30am and there were only a few other people in the restaurant. We ordered and got drinks fairly quickly, but that's where the good experience ends. Our potato skins were so bad they were inedible, the chicken and burger were okay. Something was off with their soda. I don't know if it was unclean cups or dirty lines, but all of the pop tasted funky. The service was terrible. Never any refills, never any followup. A few people needed extra sauces, etc. but never got them because no one ever came to check on us. We never got our bills, we had to eventually go ask for them. And to top it all off, the place is a DUMP. It needs bulldozed and rebuilt it is so filthy. Never again, at least for 7-8 more years. read more

Good place if you want some good greasy food and a beer. A little over-priced in my opinion but not too bad. Sometimes they show the UFC pay-per-views which is cool, except they need more big screen TVs. Crowd can sometimes be annoying in the evening as it's not uncommon for a fight to break out between some drunk guys. Daytime is totally different though. Our first visit here was amazing. Great food. The chili cheese fries are to die for. I had the Fricker's double cheese burger on our first visit. It's a 1lb burger and it was awesome. This visit, our second, was a bit of a disappointment. We had the pulled pork barbecue sandwich. It tasted and looked like the prepackaged stuff you buy from Wal Mart. It Had the usual barbecue sauce flavor. Nothing spectacular. Cole slaw is vinegar based. I'm not a fan of vinegar cole slaw so to each their own. Service was good. Margarita was good. Draught beer was $6 for a pitcher. Anyway, if you visit, get the 1lb burger and chili cheese fries. They have lots of different foods. Oh yeah, one last thing, stay away from the porterhouse steak. A group of seven of us arrived at 12:20pm to have lunch. Knowing that most restaurants understand a lunch crowd, we fully expected that they would be able to prepare the meal and have it to us in a reasonable time. The Frickers in my town does an excellent job with lunch crowds. We can typically get in and out within 45 minutes on any given day. There were very few (possibly four or five) other people in this Frickers Restaurant when we arrived. We were greeted quickly and the server took our drink orders. It took her quite awhile to come back to take our food orders, however. At 12:55 we had yet to be served our orders. There were no drink refills provided up to that point. When the server came back to the table, we asked that our food be prepared to-go -- as we had to return to our meeting. At 1:12, the food had still not been brought out, so we were preparing to leave. As we walked toward the front of the establishment the server brought out a bag of food. She then proceeded to put it all on the counter to separate it and to try to figure out whose food belonged to whom. This took quite a while to accomplish. We finally left at 1:20 -- a full hour after we arrived. We had to eat the food after returning to our scheduled meeting. Needless to say, it was luke-warm and not as enjoyable as it would have been. This restaurant would do well to better understand lunch crowds. It should have been a red-flag to us when we arrived and found the place nearly empty at 12:20pm. read more

My favorite local place to swing by for some chicken chunks and a pitcher of beer for $5! The chicken is not over breaded like Bdubs. Much better flavor. BBQ is a must. The serving staff is sometimes questionable but the bartenders are great. Newer management seems to be getting things back on track. Food is usually good and hot. If not they will fix it. I have tried this place qite a few times overt the last several years due to the location and the cest I can say is....that it always succeeds in failing. The food is less than mediocre. I don't believe they take the food serious. Try a BLT and see it I am wrong. There isn't anything you can order here that isn;t beeter at a different place with the same business model. If you want drinks at a reasonable price I wil give that to Fricker's. It reminds me of Moe's on The Simpson's where the same people are there and when you walk in they all have to run around to see who you are....lol...A few years agpo there was a lady woprking behind the b ar who was conscientious and did a great job, but now there is a lot of mediocrity. I loved Fricker's growing up and hadn't been in at least 5 years...this isn't what I remembered. Went for dinner tonight: the chicken chunks were dry with little-to-no sauce, the ribs weren't very good, they had no coffee, and they forgot two orders of fries. My father's pork tenderloin sandwich was good and so was the desert, some sort of waffle fry thing similar to a funnel cake (very good). The 3 stars is basically for the nostalgia and hoping it was just an off night. I was glad that they were at least open for dine-in durning the COVID pandemic. I can't believe the reviews are so bad for this Frickers??!! Maybe I am bit protective since is one of my favorite places to eat when I come home to visit. This is one of the only places you can eat and drink after midnight in little Middletown. The always seem to be understaffed and busy, but I normally like to go at night which is their busiest time. I don't mind, to me it's worth the wait. I always order the same thing: chili cheese fries and traditional wings in hot and Bbq sauce mixed. I love the big wings and the hearty chilli they put on the fries. I have never had bad food from here. Poor service... From time to time. But again they are always short staff so I waive a blind eye to Frickers shortcomings. The wings and chili cheese fries are worth it to me! read more

Walking up to the restaurant it felt like a dungeon with an odd paint job. It was seat yourself, and luckily we chose a table near a window because the whole restaurant is dimly lit with some off pink lights. Probably to hide the dirty floors and sticky menus. The waitress was good. The food was average but a good portion size of boneless chicken wings. A lot of options but not very quality I guess. If you haven't pooped in a week and have given up on laxatives...try this place. A friend and I ate there just last week and as soon as I got home I had to poop. But that's not where the fun ends at 4:30 a.m. I woke up huuuurrrrtin with the worst stomach pain ever. I rushed to the bathroom (almost didn't make it) slammed down on the seat and Kaboom worst diarrhea of my life. I'm talking biting my lip, praying to god, and hoping he answers soon! Hot fiery lava was going on in there. I finished up, washed my hands, scampered back to bed, grabbed my phone and text my buddy who works nights at Atrium. "Dude...Fricker's.....never again!" He replied that it hadn't hurt him. But the next day at noon I get a text "dude....it just hit me, you're right....never again!" I would say it's the worst service ever received in a restaurant. Actually there was NO service received . We were told to seat ourselves at the front door . Waited over 20 minutes and were never acknowledged, offered water or even talked to. Even when we got up and walked out no one noticed. However, as we sat at the table, a waitress maybe off duty sat 6 feet away with friends and never called for or offered to find help of another server. She didn't even bother to pick up the Skittles she dropped on the floor that went under our table. This place deserves to go out of business. First and last time I'll ever go there. read more

Definitely a no-go if you need to grab a quick meal. We've only eaten here a few times because the service is painfully slow no matter how busy they are. I was there once when we had to drink beer from plastic cups because they didn't have any clean glasses. The food is ok, but overpriced. It's definitely more of a sports bar than a restaurant, and the patrons can get a little unruly while watching some of the sporting events. It's not really a great place for young children or anyone easily offended by language. The boyfriend and I went here for dinner. I hadn't had Frickers in years and was excited to go. However, we were not impressed. Our server didn't check on us after we got our food. I requested some ranch, but she never came back, and I gave up and ate my food without said ranch. The wings were disappointing. May have been because mine were made naked. I had ordered mild I believe, and if those wings were mild, well they were very bland. We never got drink refills either, as our server never checked on us. The food was over priced for the quality. Oh, and there was a family with obnoxious children running around, right next to us, go figure (I guess that isn't really Frickers fault).
