Quick and easy lunch at Uni Mas! It was slow when we came in but got busy! Everything was clean and the ambiance was inviting. Apps we had the Trio, which included 2 salsas and a queso. Chips were great, cooked perfectly. I had the enchiladas, which I order at every Mexican restaurant I go to. There do only offer 2 sauce options the mole and a jalapeño cream. So they don't really have a spicy one, as I love a nice green chili sauce! I felt these were a bit dry and lacking enough sauce on top. The rice was clumped as well. Overall though, I did still enjoy it just not necessarily my favorite. I asked for the sour cream to come with but the server did not bring it out until basically after I was done eating and she still charged me :( I would still be down to come back and try it again! Another great date night here! This time I had a shrimp and rice bowl and my husband had a chicken burrito. We both loved our food. Also, we had a side of the Mexican street corn, it was so good with a smokey flavor but I thought $9 was a little much. Dylan was a good server. Uno Mas opened a couple of months ago where F&D Woodfired Italian Kitchen used to be. After a quick search, I found out it was from the same restaurant group that owns F&D restaurants. I was curious about this new concept, so I went to check it out. They have done a great job revamping the space. It is a small space, but I have always loved how cozy it feels. The menu combines all the different F&D restaurants. You will find items from the F&D cantina, burgers, and pizzas. I loved all the other F&D restaurant concepts, so the food was great and consistent with flavor and quality as the other restaurants. We went during happy hour, so we tried the drinks, and the margaritas (large) were huge. I got the smaller size, but my husband got the large one. This was my first time stopping by since this restaurant changed over. The inside still looks great! I love the decor and dim lighting that would be perfect for a lunch or dinner date with drinks. Everyone was very friendly and made sure I received service in a timely manner as soon as I walked in too. I ordered the birria tacos to go and everything was packed up very nicely. I could tell the taco ingredients were freshly made, including the taco shell which was the perfect texture. For the price (about $18) I was expecting more rice and/or beans but that's a minor detail. My only issue was that the birria sauce just wasn't right. It didn't have much flavor and there was too much oil. Unfortunately that really impacted my impression of the food. All in all, I had a great experience but I'm wondering if they're still working out some kinks. I love supporting new restaurants so I'll be back again and encourage everyone to give it a try. Great spot to grab delicious Mexican cuisine and tasty cocktails. Inside is beautifully decorated and has a good vibe. While the service was a little slow everyone was friendly and we enjoyed everything we ordered. For starters we got the Uno Mas Trio which brought guacamole, queso and choice of either salsa roja or verde. The guacamole was fresh, the queso was hot and delicious and the salsa verde was flavorful and my favorite out of the two salsas. The chips that came with the trio were also fresh and crispy. For entrees we ordered the steak and sweet plantain quesadilla, barbacoa burrito, steak tacos and chicken taco. If you love sweet and savory the steak and sweet plantain quesadilla is a must try! The steak is tender and flavorful and the sweet plantains are perfectly cooked. The barbacoa burrito was also delicious. The barbacoa was pull apart tender and also very flavorful and the burrito was a great size and stuffed with meat. The steak tacos and chicken tacos were delicious as well with the same tender and flavorful meats that are in every other dish. For drinks they have creative, strong and tasty margaritas. We also ordered shots of tequila and I love that they have oranges dusted with cinnamon as a chaser. That was a first for me and the cinnamon with orange actually tastes really good. We tried this place for something new and it turned out to be The Worst dining experience we've ever had. On a Friday night, the restaurant was nearly empty--which should have been the red flag. Our waitress forgot our drink order multiple times, forgot the appetizer, and we waited over an hour for our meals. The food came out one by one with 15-minute gaps, and one meal was forgotten intirely . No silverware until we went looking ourselves. The lack of cars in the parking lot during peak lunch hour on a Friday should have been a clue. I ordered the chicken taco lunch special with pico and sour cream which was extra. My friend ordered quac and salsa. The taco lacked any flavor even with the added pico and reminded me of what I would get at Tijuana Flats, which is not as good as it used to be. The quac tasted very similar to stuff I have bought in the grocery store and the salsa was just okay. Our waitress was friendly and that and the decor was the bright spot of the experience. We got takeout today, our first adventure here since the previous F&D incarnation focusing on Italian-style dishes morphed. We will definitely return, because the food and hospitality were delightful. The Day of the Dead decor elements are cool, too. Once back at the ranch we unpacked our loot and dug in. The chicken fajita salad is a perfect lunch with crispy, fresh and delicious ingredients very nicely assembled. The quesadilla was also tasty with enough left over for a big snack later, and my father-in-law really had fun building his chicken fajitas; the tortillas were still nice and warm, too. The chips and trio of dips provided a nice variety of flavors for all of us. We're going back soon for dine-in to make sure the margaritas are as good as the food. I've been eager to try Uno Mas since they opened in Longwood, and I'm thrilled to have them in the neighborhood. The decor is lovely, creating a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere. Our server was well-informed about the menu, able to recommend and explain dishes with ease. We noticed that they served pizza and learned it was a holdover from the former Italian restaurant, which I had dined at before. I was glad the pizzas remained on the menu, as the sauce is homemade and they have a wood-burning pizza oven. We started with a massive (HUGE) traditional margarita and a regular-sized prickly pear one, both of which were delicious. The appetizers, street corn and chips and homemade salsas (red and green), were awesome. For the main course, we had the fish tacos, which had an excellent flavor balance with a light spice heat. We also had the mixed fajitas, which were very flavorful. The only tiny negative was that I didn't realize I had to specify the level of cooked beef, so it came out too raw for my taste, but that was okay because my hubby devoured it since he loves very rare beef. We enjoyed our experience very much. It was a tad noisy, but it was packed, which is to be expected and better than being dead empty. I'll definitely go back and highly recommend Uno Mas! read more

Uno Mas opened at 4:00pm on April 18, 2024, me and my wife and a friend were there at 6:00pm. I have to say that the staff, the food and the owner were top notch. Longwood needed a really good Mexican restaurant and it certainly has it now! I would recommend this establishment to anyone who likes Mexican food. Additionally they have wood fired Pizzas and burgers, so the whole family can have what they like. I would give Uno Mas 5+ stars!!! read more

Got a burrito and thought "mozzarella is an interesting choice in there, I wonder how they're going to pull that off?" They don't pull it off because it's an awful cheese for a burrito. I've had tasteless burritos, boring burritos, and mediocre burritos but this was a bad burrito. I had lunch with friends/co-workers today. My chicken taco salad was very good. Chicken was grilled, the shell was lite and crispy very nice. Two friends had beef salad bowl. They said that the beef was well seasoned. The third friend had a burger and also said it very good. Now for the price of these salads, they could had a couple of spoons of beans or some corn. They call themselves a Mexican restaurant but no complimentary chips and salsa. I have eaten in a lot of Mexican restaurants (good ones) and always was offered chips and salsa. BTW, one of the friends is Mexican and she was surprised. It's the little things that keep customers coming back. We all work for a company near by and we recommend the restaurants we go to for catering our office events. The service was quick considering it was the lunch rush. read more

Went to try out this restaurant last night. Food tasted good but took 25 minutes to get my food and my order was messed up twice. My friend was finishing his food by the time I received mine. Portions are small with no sides included (no beans or rice). No chips and salsa either. For the price we paid the amount of food was small. With tip I ended up paying $19 and I had to go home and eat because I was still hungry. Really how much does it cost to add some beans and rice to a dish like 25 cents? Restaurant was small and decorated nicely. Staff were pleasant. Please increase the portion sizes. read more
