After months of research, we walked into Friedman's Appliance and were greeted by the best associate working, Raj Sherchan. We wanted the best Wolf induction range, and Raj went to work making sure my wife got everything she needed. That included the commercial shelf and the complimentary extra knobs in the new bronze color, which was a nice bonus. We were very happy with the transaction and the scheduling of the installation. We feel that Friedman's was the absolute best place to make the purchase and schedule a professional installation service. Thank you, Raj!

New 'old school style-the BEST!' washer installed

Washer died FOR THE LAST TIME just before we left for vacation. Instead of repairing again, it was time for new. Found the washer we wanted on their website, and purchased it, with delivery/haul away. Within 1 minute of completing the order, someone from Friedman's called and gave us a window for delivery the day after we got home. 9-1pm was our window, and at about 8:45am they called and said 'be there in 15 minutes'. They were prompt, courteous, and professional. William Jose (one of the 2 delivery guys) went above and beyond in helping to clean out behind our old washer which had leaked water and therefore made a mess with some dust and debris that was back there. He scrubbed it, dried it, and along with Alfredo- they moved it right into place. Filled it so we could see it working, gave me all the paperwork and off they went. Here for less than 30 mins, and I have a new Speed Queen washer that I've already used (lots of laundry after a week at the lake!) I'd definitely recommend, and these guys were great!

Extremely Disappointing Experience - Failure to Honor Paid Services and Invoice Commitments (Delivery on 7/17/2026) I am extremely disappointed with my experience with Friedman Appliances. We selected this company because it represented itself as a full-service appliance provider capable of handling delivery, relocation of existing appliances, and installation. Unfortunately, the service we received fell significantly below the expectations created at the time of purchase and the services we paid for. Our delivery was scheduled for Friday, 7/17/2026, with a delivery window of 1:00 PM-4:00 PM. During the entire scheduled delivery window, we received no phone calls, updates, or communication regarding the status of our delivery. After the delivery window had passed, we contacted the office at 4:15 PM to request an update. We were informed that the delivery team was coming from Vacaville and was delayed due to traffic. However, this explanation was difficult to understand because we are approximately 20 minutes away from Vacaville, yet the delivery team did not arrive until 6:13 PM. The only communication we received was from the truck driver at 5:33 PM, shortly before arrival. The lack of communication was extremely frustrating and inconvenient. Customers should not be expected to set aside an entire afternoon waiting for a delivery without receiving any meaningful updates when delays occur. However, the delivery delay was not the primary reason for our dissatisfaction. The main issue was Friedman Appliances' failure to provide services that were specifically requested, paid for, and documented on our invoice. At the time of purchase, we clearly explained to the salesperson that we needed our existing washer and dryer relocated to another location and connected. We paid for the hookup service, and this request was documented on the invoice. We relied on this written commitment when deciding to purchase from Friedman Appliances. When the delivery team arrived, they refused to connect our existing appliances and stated that they "do not work for the seller." This response was extremely disappointing and confusing. The sales team, delivery team, and installation/service teams all represent the same company, and customers should not be responsible for resolving internal communication failures after payment has already been made. The situation became even more frustrating when the driver/installer instructed us to call the office ourselves to resolve the issue. This should not have been the customer's responsibility. If there was a misunderstanding between departments, Friedman Appliances should have handled the communication internally and provided a solution. Customers should not be placed in the position of coordinating between different teams within the same company. When we contacted the office for assistance, we received inconsistent information. We were initially told that they could install the new appliances and move the existing washer and dryer, but they could not connect the old appliances. Later, we were told they could not even move the existing appliances. The explanation and available solutions continued to change, leaving us without a clear resolution and without the service we had already paid for. The office later informed us that they could potentially arrange for a third party to connect both the new and existing laundry sets, but we would need to wait several additional days. This was not an acceptable solution. We should not have to wait days or coordinate additional contractors to complete work that was already included in the service purchased from Friedman Appliances. The reason we selected Friedman Appliances was because they offered a complete delivery and installation solution. If we wanted to coordinate separate installers and contractors ourselves, we could have purchased from another retailer. Because Friedman Appliances failed to honor the service commitment documented on our invoice, we were forced to cancel the order. What was even more disappointing was that the driver documented the cancellation as "refused @ door." This description is inaccurate and misleading. We did not refuse the delivery. We refused to accept a situation where Friedman Appliances would not provide the services we had already paid for and that were clearly documented on our invoice. The issue was not the customer refusing delivery; the issue was Friedman Appliances failing to honor the agreed-upon service commitment. This experience raises serious concerns regarding communication, coordination between departments, and the company's commitment to honoring customer agreements. Customers should be able to trust that the services they purchase will be delivered as promised and that written commitments on invoices will be honored. I hope Friedman Appliances takes this matter seriously and reviews its sales, delivery, and installation processes to ensure future customers are not placed in the same situation.

We took a cooking class with Chef Chelsea and absolutely loved it! We learned about the wood fired oven, but more importantly we came away from her class wanting to cook more! Oz, Lilly, and John at Friedmans were the absolute dream team! We came into the store in a pinch prior to the holidays and in addition to Oz talking us through all of the options and giving us details/options in a very direct manner, he arranged delivery and installation through Lilly and John for next day! On top of it all, we needed modifcations to the cabinets and John came through to make it all fit. They were quick, professional, and delivered a level of customer service my wife and I were not expecting. Highly reccomend the Friedman's experience to any in search of appliances. Go in the afternoon and they may serve you a beer on draft :)

For our home remodel, our GC recommended Friedmans Appliance -- said they were the best. He wasn't kidding, first class customer service and selection. Our salesperson, Neel, was gracious, made excellent recommendations, no pressure, patient, and really helped us select exactly what we needed. He also checked in all thru the process to ensure proper delivery and install, plus even after the sale was done he went the extra mile on service to get us a replacement part when one broke. Highly recommended, worth the drive across the Bay Area.

We have done business with Friedman's several times over the past 6 months. We specifically worked with sales associate Dave West. Dave is knowledgeable regarding the industry and made it an stress-free easy buying experience. He provided expert knowledge regarding the products we were interested in. We bought a full range stove from Freidmans and upon delivery we realized the factory had sent Freidman's the wrong color. I called Dave and explained the situation. This was during the busy 4th of July weekend. Dave provided excellent customer service, tracked down the factory representative of the stove and re-ordered the correct stove/color. They even went as far as to let us use the current stove until the new stove arrived. We were very impressed with the level of customer service that Friedman's has shown us. Last week we bought a set of washer and dryer from Friedman's appliance. The customer sales rep Pedro was knowledgeable and helped us choose the right product. He was friendly and didn't try to push anything expensive on us like what you would expect from other reps. Delivery and installation was also buttery smooth. Their technicians William Jose and Jerry helped install the units. They were very experienced and took precaution to not scratch the units. They also made sure we were happy with the installation and did everything as we requested. All in all, a very positive experience. Oh, and the prices were better than at other big stores. Will shop here again for our next appliance for sure! read more

Friedman's Appliance is always fantastic. We bought both our fridge last year, and our oven from them last month. However, what I really want to rave about is our delivery from Blake with Bay Valley Appliance! Wow! This is the guy you want to install your oven! Blake gave us a call prior to schedule the delivery, and provided some great information about how this particular oven would be installed (it's more complicated than you think!). He requested some info about our current oven at the time, and answered my questions. Upon his timely arrival, he was friendly, professional and incredibly knowledgeable. It was a pretty big job given the layout of our kitchen and our old oven being so...old! Some extra work was necessary to bring the area up to date electronically and space-wise, which Blake explained clearly and with ease. He and his assistant worked tirelessly for quite some time (they were here late!), and the result was beautiful! He even adjusted the oven to cover up some old grease spots around the edges. And all for a very reasonable price. As a family who has had quite a bit of work and updates done to our home over the past 8 years, I can say that finding guys who are so reliable, communicative, and knowledgeable AND who somehow leave the kitchen CLEANER than when they arrived... is ridiculously rare. We feel so fortunate to have experienced his service. read more

We bought our new refrigerator on Sunday, it was delivered on Monday by Norberto and Miguel. Our old refrigerator was too big to get out our door (don't know how we got it in many years ago). Norberto took off the front drawers of the old refrigerator, then took our front door of its hinges. We had about an inch to spare but he and Miguel muscled it out with no more issues. New one is installed and we are very happy. read more

I've purchased several appliances from Friedman over the years and was always satisfied--until I bought an LG refrigerator in 2020. My sister had warned me against LG due to her own bad experiences, but the salesperson at Friedman reassured us that those issues had been resolved and convinced us to move forward with the purchase. Unfortunately, that turned out to be a big mistake. Since then, the refrigerator has had ongoing problems. Thankfully, we purchased a 5-year warranty, because we've had to rely on it for multiple repairs. The last service call, Friedman sent out JEM Appliance Repair, whose work has been mediocre at best. During the most recent service, they replaced the water dispenser and installed a new exterior panel--but it arrived dented and scratched. When I contacted JEM about it, they directed me back to Friedman. I then spoke with Emmanuel at Friedman, who assured me he would take care of the issue, but he never followed through. My calls and emails have gone unanswered. Overall, this has been a very disappointing experience compared to the service I had come to expect in the past. read more

Two things that make Friedmans the best: one is Harold Pimental, who helped us purchase all of our appliances for a kitchen remodel. He was extremely knowledgeable about each and every appliance, professional, and beyond helpful. If you have appliances to buy, he's your guy! Number two was the ease and effort from their delivery folks. We had Harvey and Jose, who were both careful, efficient, strong, and again, very knowledgeable about the product that they were delivering and hooking up for us. I purchased a floor model subzero refrigerator. It was installed 8 days ago and was missing the "toekick" piece that covers up the mechanicals at the floor. It also had no instruction manual or replacement filters. I reported this all to Cole on the day of installation. He responded right away that these issues would be resolved ASAP. But, I have heard nothing since. I followed up on Thursday and have gotten no response. I'm very disappointed with the lapse in customer service after they collected my $17K :-( read more

For all the pomp about Friedman's being one of the largest appliance retailers in the West Coast, I found their customer service to be atrocious. I went to the store and sure, in-store the people were very nice and knowledgeable (hence the two stars). In following up, however, my primary salesperson did not return my phone calls. I then followed up generically to find another salesperson to get a quote for 5 matching appliances. I was instructed to send my request in via email and he would follow up. After confirming receipt of my email, I never received a quote after several follow-up requests. This is for a whole set of kitchen appliances, so no small amount for a little homeowner like me! I would never recommend Friedmans, based on my experience. Unfortunately, I found the online retailers to have much better customer service. read more

Darrell C. from Friedmans Appliance in Pleasant Hill absolutely saved us after we had a fiasco trying to replace our broken fridge with a new one from Lowes. If you need a new appliance, don't go to one of the big corporations and get screwed like I did, go see a competent professional at Friedmans Appliance. If you need to replace a broken appliance or simply want an upgrade, I highly recommend you go talk to Darrell and the team at Friedmans before going anywhere else. Out of the many stores (large corporations and smaller businesses) I visited, none of them had the professionalism and great team communication skills that Darrell and the rest of the Friedman's team had. Harvey and his delivery team were also a great help, they swapped out our broken fridge for our new one quickly and efficiently! great experience, from beginning to end. read more

Avoid buying any wolf, subzero, or cove products. After buying everything "brand new" each appliance has already been repaired by box. Once you make your purchase box is your only connection to getting anything done. I called subzero and wolf directly and they recommend stop calling the dealer aka Friedmans and call box with any new issues. I guess it's like buying a car. Don't call the dealership that sold you the appliance call the service department instead. Just google or search on Reddit for the quality of these products. We just assumed these were the best products to buy. You have been warned. read more

I had the pleasure of meeting Darrel Clay. He was friendly, honest and professional. He helped me buy a new dryer. I didn't want any sales pitch, just the best dryer available since they were having a big weekend sale. He recommended the Electrolux. Surprisingly it was easy to understand the "dial" for different types of drying cycles. I was sold on it. I also like the added feature of removing the lint. No more messy clogs. Eventually, I will be buying a dishwasher in a few months and washer later. I will be back for another visit to see Darrell. P.S. I will be buying his family's BBQ Sauce and Rubs... sold online only at ClayFamilyRecipes.com... YUM! They had free samples at the sales event. read more

I recently purchased my Subzero Panel Ready refrigerator from Friedmans. Susan, the sales representative delivered. She helped answer any questions I had and had the ball rolling quickly on my new refrigerator. On the date of delivery/install, John and his crew installed the refrigerator perfectly and also installed the cabinet panels as well. We needed to replace our 24 year old Monogram refrigerator ASAP, as it was failing. Neel Patel was very patient with our many questions, and made us comfortable in making the purchase. Friedman's is the best. Their selection is a little overwhelming, since they seem to carry every brand made. I needed a new range and got a great tour of options from salesperson, Darrell Clay. It took two visits for me to make my decision, but I never felt rushed or pushed in any direction from Darrell. He was able to answer 95% of my questions, and readily looked up the answers to the rest. Installation was yesterday, and the company Friedman's recommended (S&T) was also very professional in getting the new range installed. read more

Harvey and Jose from the Friedmans Appliance delivery team did an excellent job delivering my Sub-Zero fridge and microwave. They handled everything with great care, were professional, careful, and efficient throughout the entire delivery and installation process. Armando and Alfredo delivered our GE side by side refrigerator a week ago. They were great. They were here on time and they were very efficient getting our old refrigerator out and the new one installed. They noticed that the doors were not level to each other and fixed it before they left. They were very professional and both we very upbeat and positive. Jameason assisted us in the store with our selection of a new refrigerator. Our 5-year-old LG Signature French Door refrigerator, which we purchased at Friedmans, had died which was so disappointing. We decided on a side by side which is not as available now. We had hoped to get a GE cafe model which was not on the floor. He reached out to the rep from GE and found out the neither the Cafe nor Profile refrigerators are available. They would require special order. He explained that side by side refrigerators are not as popular as French door models. We ended up getting the base model GE side by side and we love it. Because our old refrigerator was only 5 years old when it died, he gave us a credit of $250 towards the new refrigerator which we really appreciated. read more

After browsing the impressive (and extensive) showroom at Friedman's, we were approached by David West in sales. David was so incredibly personable, knowledgeable and professional. His decades of experience in the appliance industry (from repairs to sales) brought together well rounded knowledge and guidance. David knows the products, inside and out. He can successfully recommend options for modest or larger projects (replacement appliances or a kitchen remodel). David West is informed, professional, kind, gently frank and helpful, without being pushy or judgmental. We were so grateful to find him. His level of knowledge and professionalism were a breath of fresh air. Through David West, we were able to replace a workhorse Whirlpool dryer. Now, thanks to David's sound expertise, we are considering a Miele washer. We are so glad that we drove the 90 miles to Friedman's for this level of intuitive and gracious service from David. There was a lack of communication, there was a lot of miscommunication and there were so many people (too many cooks spoil the broth - phone operators, technicians, email & text personal) from FUSE working on my project. It was like the right hand did not know what the left hand was doing. It was confusing to say the least. The staff is very caring. That is without doubt. But, I never knew where I stood until we finally decided to get a new air conditioner installed. My tenants were losing their patience with FUSE. There were too many interruptions and unknowns. BUT, IN A NUTSHELL - IF YOU ARE PATIENT, FUSE'S PRICES AND THE FINISHED WORK IS SUPERIOR. Our disgruntled tenants even said, "FUSE really does good work. They're efficient, neat and thorough." Then he informed me that it would cost me a minimum of $85 for shipping and handling ... but it is a warranty repair! Deaf ears ( second day lost) I immediately left shaking my head. I called Amazon, where I bought it. After it was determined by HP that it was not in warranty as it was purchased through an Amazon reseller, Amazon quickly satisfied me by providing me a complete refund even after 11 months!!!! That's customer service! Bye bye Best Buy. No more business for you!

Mervyn's closed many years ago so today's retail value of the vase would be much more. Who knows how it ended up at Goodwill and then made its way to Jory's. I don't have an issue with recycling from thrift stores. I do it myself. What was very odd to me was Jory's did not take a minute or two to remove the stickers. Very tacky. This would have been a five-star review if the flowers had arrived on time and in a vase that did not show its thrift store origins.

Fifteen years ago, when I redid my kitchen, I bought all my appliances from Friedman and was helped by an amazing employee named Artie. I always remembered the over the top assistance I received and returned to purchase a new refrigerator. Artie is no longer there but I received outstanding help from the moment I stepped into the store.I like to wander about and quietly think through the features of the item that I may purchase. I was asked if I needed help and when I politely replied that I wished to "just look around for a while" I was left alone which I loved! I finally found the perfect one and bought it! I had seen an identical one elsewhere for a bit less and Friedman matched the price. I also bought a Microwave and asked to have both delivered. However, since the refrigerator would come in a week and I needed the microwave sooner, the amazing and resourceful employee Raj brought it in person to my house after he got off work! That was definitely above the call of duty! I have a steep driveway and this young man hand carried this extremely heavy appliance single handedly! When I tried to give him a tip, he refused it even though I insisted that he take the money but he never did. Raj was of great help in the store was very knowledgeable and very courteous. He kept me informed of when the refrigerator would be delivered. When it was finally delivered, two young men named Miles and Richard delivered and installed it. They too ran up my driveway and were simply amazing! They were extremely careful installing it and cleaning up afterwards. I was greatly impressed how well they worked as a team and how polite and skilled they were ! My entire experience with Friedman's was above par, again! They will certainly be my first choice in the future and I highly recommend them to anyone needing an appliance. They also have, I may add, the best selection of anyone! We have had a terrific experience working with the staff at Friedmans Appliance over the past year. In preparation for a kitchen renovation, we initially went in to Friedmans to just look around and get a sense of what is available to choose from. The staff was very informative about the various appliances and there was no pressure to buy. As we solidified our construction plans, we returned to Friedmans to look again at the options and also attended one of their special chef events for the brand we were interested in, which was very helpful. We had the pleasure of working with salesperson Ola, who came highly recommended by multiple sources. He was knowledgeable, reliable and expedient to work with as well as being a very upbeat and positive person! There was a hiccup in ordering with the manufacturer and it was quickly resolved by Ola with speed and professionalism. He is a joy to work with! The coordination with the appliance installer, Weideman's Construction, was very smooth. John Weideman and his staff were great to work with and expert installers doing a wonderful job. Since our purchase, we have also gone to 2 of the Friedmans events to learn more about the appliances we purchased. We really enjoyed speaking with Darryl Clay and learning about his techniques of food prep which he then finishes on the grill. He's an experienced chef who loves to share his knowledge with the home grill chefs. I had the pleasure of attending a session on the use of speed ovens with their wonderful in-house chef, Chef Chelsea Marie. She is a gem! Not only is she a highly trained and experienced chef, she also has the ability to teach in a manner accessible to all levels of home chefs. It was a valuable and also very fun session! I can't say enough good things about Susan Vise at Friedman's! I was referred to her by Dan (our installer) and am incredibly happy with the service I received from both of them. Dan's installation work was also top-notch, and I highly recommend asking for him to handle your installation when working with Susan! I needed to outfit my entire kitchen with new appliances, sinks, faucets, filters, and more. Susan not only secured the best deals on all our items but also managed the entire process with unmatched professionalism. Everything was delivered on time, and she provided precise timelines for items arriving in separate batches. She even went above and beyond, assisting us in finding specific components for our appliances to fit our unique needs. Even after installation in February, when we encountered a couple of issues, Susan continued to impress. When our "The Galley" sinks and some metal items showed signs of rust, Susan promptly handled all communication with The Galley. As a result, the defective items were replaced, and we received a solution to prevent future rust. Our sinks have been rust-free ever since! Another significant issue arose with our Miele steam oven, which had a defective water discharge hose. We discovered a small leak about two months after installation, which unfortunately caused considerable water damage to our brand-new kitchen cabinets, requiring their replacement. Again, Susan handled this with incredible professionalism. She immediately ordered a new replacement hose and worked directly with Miele to ensure we were fully reimbursed for the cabinet damage. I am truly delighted with Susan's dedication and follow-through. This place stands by their products!!! Friedmans is the place to buy your next appliance! As you walk in you will see high end merchandise, but Friedmans has something for every budget! My wife and I are middle class and have bought all of our major appliances at Friedmans over the past ten years. The staff has given us excellent advice for appliances that fit our small home and our modest budget. The staff is what makes this store great. And it is employee owned. A year ago we bought a side-by-side refrigerator. When it was delivered we realized it was too deep and we couldn't open our oven properly. No problem. Friedmans promptly switched us out a new one that did fit. Last month the refrigerator suddenly stopped cooling. We had bought a five year warranty and Friedmans sent out a repairman they had on contract. After a few minutes he said that it was beyond his ability to fix it and that they would need a specialist. Since it was our only refrigerator and it would take weeks to schedule the specialist he said I should just go and buy another one. He actually said, "unless you bought it at Friedmans". According to this gentleman, if we bought it at Home Depot or Airport appliance we would be at the mercy of the warranty company. The warranty does not guarantee quick service, just eventual service! The next day I called Friedmans. The manager, Mr. Lopez, emailed me an hour later with an offer to replace the refrigerator ASAP. Two days later, we had a replacement refrigerator! Our aging dishwasher started having issues and I decided to replace it. I initially worked with OZ who was outstanding, knowledgable and thoughtful while helping me with my new purchase and next day delivery arrangements. When my contractor was setting up the new dishwasher for installation he showed me some damage and broken parts so he had to stop the process. Oz was off for the day when I contacted the store to find out what the next steps would be and I was helped by Kenny Webber. Kenny had me send pictures of the damage and explained that he would need to get an ok from the manager in order to send a replacement, that they had more of my dishwashers in stock and that he would connect with me asap. I unknowingly sent my pictures to an incorrect email address (completely my fault) and Kenny thoughtfully reached out to let me know he hadn't received them, giving me an opportunity to resend them in a timely manner. Even though Kenny was not working the next morning, he still processed my replacement, got the ok and called me to set up the delivery. This all happened within 24hours. I cannot praise his communication, customer service and professional skills enough. Every interaction I had with him was positive and even though over the years I have never had a negative experience with anyone I've worked with at Friedman's, I would recommend both Oz and Kenny to anyone who wanted to work with people whose personal skills go above and beyond normal professional, courteous and knowledgeable expectations. read more

I purchased an LG Washer tower and two weeks before the warranty was up. It started leaking all over the floor. There was a history before that actually the ventless dryer kept throwing error codes and basically just never really worked properly. The leaking was a huge problem and I went in person to try and discuss my issues and options, but was directed to go through LG Customer Service. After going back and forth with LG customer service and their Presidential liaison they agreed that I should get a new machine. I sent them all the paperwork and the serial number on my receipt did not match the serial number that was on my machine so I am going back-and-forth another two months and now I'm offered only 15% off of new LG Washer tower if I choose to purchase a new one I thought going through Friedman's was going to be a completely different experience. The fact that the receipt didn't have the proper serial number for the machine I was given basically just messed me up so bad that I can't even get a replacement I was willing to pay more for better customer service and I am just so frustrated and I feel like I've been upset with this purchase for eight months Check your receipts and make sure they lineup with your serial numbers because someone's not doing their job over there and it cost me huge I will never shop here again. I'm writing in reponse to Gee B.'s revealing review of Friedman 's Appliance in Pleasant Hill, California. And all the other reviews on this and the other review-posting sites. No way will I buy anything from that store. I'm looking for a new fridge and was just about to buy, but thank goodness I Googled Friedman's & clicked on the Yelp.com link. Friedman's Appliances' behavior is deplorable. Not only are they racist, they are incompetant and dishonest, too! So sad, because when they were located in Oakland, in the early 1970's, they were OK. Ironic, too, because they just completed construction on a huge new sales showroom. What they need to do is dump their "anything for a buck" mentality, consistently practice genuine respect for their customers (including people "just looking" and not buying -- they may, later, or they might give good word-of mouth advertising to another), BE METICULOUSLY HONEST, and insist on top-notch conduct from their sales staff and management, no exceptions. They can do all of the above and thrive, or they can continue their slipshod sales tactics and customer service and go under -- probably sooner rather than later. Live and learn, Friedman's! I had placed orders with Best Buy and Home Depot for a new upright freezer. Both companies left me hanging for nearly two months before notifying me that my order would not be filled for at least two more months and they could not provide date for when they would have anything in stock. I saw an ad for Friedmans and when I phoned them they were out of stock but said that they would have more freezers arriving on May 23. On May 25 I phoned and they had a 16 cu ft freezer in stock and they took my order over the phone. On May 27 I drove with my SUV the 101 miles to their warehouse in Pleasant Hill and picked up the freezer. I spoke with 3 different salespeople at the store and 3 people in the warehouse and all were exceedingly helpful and provided as much help as was needed. The warehouse person pulled the freezer and then unboxed it for me and helped me to load it into the SUV. I was at the warehouse for less than 15 minutes before driving off with the freezer. He also told me to leave it upright for the same amount of time as it was on its side in the SUV, something that is mentioned in the owners manual that most people never read, and so it was a nice commentary on their making the extra effort to have a satisfied customer. A long drive to reach them but it was well worth the effort to get the level of service that Friedman's Appliance provides its customers. read more

Friedmans is a fantastic business that puts customers first and is the only place we will go to buy appliances. We've been Friedmans customers for about 15 years and their excellent service, good prices, and customer-first attitude keeps us coming back. Friedmans has great service before the sale and after the sale. No sales pressure at all and they even encourage shopping around (they have a price match policy). Most importantly, Friedmans is helpful, responsive, and customer service-oriented after the sale. Recently, we had a problem with a newly-purchased appliance and Friedmans worked with us through a months- long process and parade of technicians. The appliance technicians said our electrical system was the problem. The electricians said the appliance was the problem. In the end, Friedmans proposed a generous and amicable solution and we are now problem-free. Friedmans took a financial hit on this, but never mentioned that to us (it's been obvious even though they've never said a word to that effect). They're trying to earn customers for life and they've definitely succeeded in our case. They're playing the long game. I can't think another retailer that I can recommend as highly as Friedmans. They'll earn your trust and your business (and your repeat business) if you give them the chance. read more

I highly recommend Friedmans Appliance. Good selection, comfortable and clean showroom, and low-key environment. I recently purchased five kitchen appliances from Friedmans. Based on my experience, I wouldn't purchase appliances from any other company. I couldn't expect any better service. From sales to delivery and installation, the Friedman's team was professional, courteous and careful. I want to particularly commend Andrew, the Friedmans sales person. I worked with him for three or four months, as I completed my kitchen project. Andrew is a terrific communicator, knowledgeable, and was focused on finding the products that suited my project. He listens carefully and speaks clearly. He knows about the products that are in his catalog and understands the different manufacturers and product features. He never once tried to upsell me or lead me to a more expensive item, even while taking the time to talk to me about the breadth of the products at the store. Andrew's personal attributes were also on display during my interaction. He is patient, courteous, and thoughtful. He was helpful when I had some problems with a product warranty matter. He is a smart and capable person. Friedmans is fortunate to have him on staff and I am pleased that he was there when I needed to buy kitchen appliances. read more

I got a new Miele washer and dryer today from Friedmans Appliance. They are compact but still can handle normal loads. My delivery/installation team were Jarett Henson and Allen Wright. I was notified that they would arrive from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Much to my delight they were here by 10:30. These two employees really care about their products as well as their customer satisfaction! They were very careful bringing them up my steep and winding driveway. Believe me, I don't think I could do it at my age. They promptly removed my old machines and put them in their truck. They brought the new models in and promptly changed the door on the dryer to open them both from right to left because of limited space in my room, which also includes a new furnace recently installed. They then ran a washing and drying cycle to insure proper operation. They were here about 2 1/2 hours. They both are extremely conscientious workers. No breaks, good communication and instruction on how to operate my new appliances. I couldn't be more pleased with the product or Jarett and Allen. They are valuable and reliable employees! I also appreciate a call from Neel Patel, who sold me these products, to insure that everything was moving smoothly and efficiently during installation! read more

We are extremely disappointed with our recent experience at Friedman's. We purchased a refrigerator, and upon delivery, the installation team informed us that because we have copper wiring, they would not be able to replace the waterline. They also told us that the sales representative should have disclosed this critical detail at the time of purchase -- but that never happened. When I called to clarify whether this was something we should have been told in advance, I was met with a rude and dismissive response: "Well, you need to be up to code." This kind of attitude is completely unacceptable. We've spent thousands of dollars at Friedman's over the years -- including buying multiple refrigerators and a washer and dryer -- and expected far better service. Instead, we were misled by a lack of transparency and treated poorly when we raised valid concerns. It's clear that making a sale was prioritized over providing honest, helpful information. Had we been properly informed, we would have arranged for a plumber to address the issue before the fridge was delivered. This entire experience has been frustrating and disappointing from start to finish. We will not be shopping at Friedman's again and will be sharing our experience with others. read more

My husband and I purchased a new dishwasher and we opted to have it installed. If you know my husband, he always chooses to do these things himself so this was a big deal! Fast forward to our delivery........Blake, from Bay Valley Appliance, called me the day after we purchased the dishwasher to set up our delivery. He told me what day and gave me a window of what time they would be at our house. To no fault of his, he was held up at the delivery before ours - no big deal! He called to let me know that they would be a little late and then called again to update me with their ETA which was going to be after our time window due to horrendous commute traffic. Again, no big deal. He was extremely professional and apologetic about the delay and actually asked if it was still OK to come and do the install. We of course said yes. The install was seamless. Blake and his partner were very careful and respectful of our house and cleaned up before they left. Blake took the time to show us how to work our new dishwasher and patiently answered all of our questions which he was super knowledgeable about - I was impressed! I cannot recommend Blake and Bay Valley Appliance enough! Their customer service was STELLAR!! read more

We've now used Friedmans for the purchase and installation of our washing machine/dryer, refrigerator, and oven/range. We've been very happy, largely due to our positive experiences working with Neel Patel, who we worked with on all three purchases. Finding new appliances can be really overwhelming and we'd had prior experiences where we'd done a lot of research and ordered an appliance, only to find out that there was some issue with being able to install it in our space once it was delivered. Neel has helped us avoid this with all our recent purchases. I was able to tell him what I was looking for (features, price range, etc), and he was able to make a tailored recommendation and review pictures and specs of my current appliances and kitchen to make sure that whatever I was ordering would be compatible. He is very knowledgeable and responsive, which has made for a pretty seamless experience (and honestly how often can you say that when buying home appliances???). Now we make sure we ask for Neel directly when we're in the market for something new. I also want to call out the delivery/installation crew. They've always been very efficient, careful, and friendly with everything we've purchased. read more

Beautiful and top quality appliances. The showroom is impeccable, with live products to demo. If you haven't been, I highly recommend checking out their space in Pleasant Hill. We had amazing service from start to finish. Our sales man, Austin, went above and beyond to find us the perfect washer/dryer set. He even came out to see and measure the laundry room, since it's an awkward and tight space. A huge THANK YOU to Austin! Also, a big thank you to the delivery and installations guys who did a phenomenal job! Kevin and Ivan hooked everything up but unfortunately had to break it all down because we needed to order a special piece for the set to fit correctly. They rocked it and had such positive attitudes the entire time; which I really appreciated since I felt terrible they had to take the entire set out after fully installing it. Then Norberto and Ivan (a different Ivan) came out later that week to reinstall our set. Norberto and Ivan were amazing. These gents were knowledgeable, efficient, detailed oriented, helpful, and friendly. Norberto was awesome - he tripled checked their work to make sure all was secure. We recently purchased a new GE refrigerator/freezer from Friedman's and had an excellent experience from start to finish. Joe, the sales associate, was fantastic, friendly, informative, and made the entire process quick and easy. Communication was great, and we received our appliance just one week after ordering. Mario and Brandon, the delivery team, were equally impressive. They were friendly, professional, and very helpful, even taking the time to share additional details about the appliance and maintenance. It was a hot day, and we decided to give them each a cash tip for their hard work. It's not an easy job lifting heavy appliances all day long, and they certainly deserved it! I also love that Friedman's has brought their service contractors in house. It makes the entire process so much smoother compared to dealing with third parties. Overall, a seamless experience with great customer service all around. We've purchased several appliances from Friedman's, and they never disappoint. Our kitchen designer had recommended Friedman Appliances in Concord and in particular Neel Patel. Neel was very helpful in advising us what appliances would best meet our needs and expectations and it was great that we could see all of the appliances on site. While we had favored a particular brand of dishwasher he provided us with a better alternative based upon current supply challenges for some off the appliance brands. The whole purchasing process was smooth and straightforward. Due to some of the ongoing supply challenges for many manufacturers we were all out running into significant delays even with the brand we selected. However, Neel was able to manage through these challenges ensuring that any delays were kept at a minimum. We very very satisfied with the support Neel provided us during the purchasing and delivery process. We can only recommend Friedmann appliances not only because of the broad portfolio of appliances and reasonable prices but also because of the support of the technical experts like Neel. read more
