Natalie and Vinny are great! They are personable and will remember your name and who you are when you go too long in between visits. I like that personal feel. My manis are usually shellac and I love how detailed Natalie is when doing it. She takes great care with my cuticles and actually applies polish right up to them unlike other salons that leave a good millimeter or more. When I leave those other salons it makes me feel like I already have had a week of growth, but not here at Friendly Nails! My pedi's are relaxing in their massage chairs and both Natalie and Vinny have taken good care of my toes! She has even noticed when I have had an ingrown nail and didn't even know it! Massages are nice and they take their time with you. Polish changes are quick and easy but not rushed! Making appointments in person or over the phone is a breeze! I highly recommend this quaint salon who will pamper to your needs, offer extras when needed, supply drinks of water or soda and have lollipops for the kiddos! I don't even want to give one star to this place... I was there two weeks ago and had the absolute worst experience. The color that I picked wasn't covering my nails very well and instead of the owner, who is doing my nails telling me that there was something wrong with the nail polish she kept trying to fix it and made it worse. The filing job was awful and they charge me $20 to get a polish change only on my toes... I told the owner I had a wedding to go to on Saturday and she responded with well if you're not happy with your nails you can come back in a week and I will redo them... Because she also stated it's late And we are closing... I am sorry if you did a shitty ass job on my nails you shouldn't have charged me or you should've stayed late and fixed my nails... Don't let the name fool you, this salon is far from "Friendly" and has some very serious learning to do about making their business Inclusive to all customers. My friend got a mani/pedi here on June 2, 2020 and was the victim of racial profiling in it's most blatant form. While getting her nails done the salon's credit card machine broke. Customers were being asked to provide either cash or a check. The woman ahead of my friend had neither and said she'd be back later with payment for her services, she left and no questions were asked. She was white. When my friend (who is black) went to pay, she was asked for cash or a check which she didn't have enough cash on hand or a check, like the other patron, and said she'd run to the ATM next door and come back. The owner demanded that she leave her handbag as collateral, when she said absolutely not, the owner insisted she at least leave her iphone. My friend said why would you ask me to leave my belongings here when you didn't require the same from the other customer?? My friend knew she was being discriminated against and stated she was going to the ATM and would return with payment and to her horror, the owner CHASED AFTER HER and followed her to the ATM!!! This behavior is RACIAL DISCRIMINATION. The owner of this salon has a lot to learn about equality and customer service or they will be out of business and good riddance. With all of the unrest and inequality protests going on nationwide, now is the time to CHANGE. I hope they do. read more

I recently went into this shop after living out of town for 8 years. My aunt recommended Friendly nails and said the girls were great. They do a great job and are very patient with my grandma (she has dementia.) Now for my experience, I got a pedicure, and they did an amazing job. After, she was done rubbing my feet and legs I felt lighter lol. It's now been about 2 weeks and my polish still looks amazing. read more

went to this place for the first time today. I cannot recommend it even for a basic treatment. I went on a Saturday morning and my sister and I were the only people there. This was not a good sign. I got a simple manicure with clear polish. The woman couldn't have been more clear that clients were an annoyance to her day. She did a terrible job. She filed my nails unevenly so that there were rough edges. She applied one coat of the polish very thinly so that you could feel my nail underneath. This left my nails with a very rough feel and a rough look. She didn't apply any lotion and there was no massage. I had to redo the manicure myself when I got home. For all of this she charged $20. I know that I'll never go back and will recommend other people find another salon. read more

Everyone was extremely nice and the pedicure was awesome and they also stayed open later for me as well which was really nice. When I was given the price card I picked the deluxe pedicure which was $50. She put in this powder in the water that turned the water to a jelly like substance, which was amazing! I was taken off guard when I was charged $60 (I just thought I read the price card incorrectly). I tried calling the next day to see how much the deluxe pedicure was and they had said $50. I asked why I was charged $60 and they stated it was because of the new jelly addition, which I was not asked if I wanted, it was just immediately put in after I chose my package. I think if they are putting something in that adds cost they should let their client know or at least ask. Make sure you have a complete breakdown of your charges before starting so you don't have any surprises. read more

I read Wanda's review about the attitude after the sale. I printed out a coupon and went anyway (the previous owner had put the coupons online-they don't honor them. Understandable). It was my first time at a nail salon. Great experience. The two girls transformed my nails. They are wonderful. Manicure, pedicure = ($63 plus $20 tip) I'll never do my own nails again. Two days later, I noticed that the gel hadn't adhered and was 'lifting' on both sides of one nail. I called to ask if I may come in and have her look at it and advise me; maybe this was not a problem and it wouldn't get worse or maybe they could redo that nail. She gave my nail a quick obligatory look and repeatedly said, "it was fine, there was nothing wrong with it, it was fine" before walking away. I said, "Oh". Another client smiled at me and rolled her eyes. I was 'brushed off'. Back in my car. The gel definitely hadn't adhered and was tearing. I would be wearing a bandaid to keep it from catching on things until I go back to do the routine gel maintainance in 2 weeks. I went back in and requested that they repair it. A different woman greeted me and without even looking at it again, sat me right down and had Cindi touch it up. Another girl finished up. 5 min. ($5 tip) Like Wanda, I was surprised at their 'no service after the sale' attitude. I really like how my nails feel with the gel and will find another salon. read more

The nail service was ok, very, very slow. But get your prices straight before you start. They tried to price things out separately, resulting in a much higher charge than I was planning. They had posted signs that a pedicure is$20 if you pay cash, they charged me $30. I was happy, and surprised, that I was able to get a pedicure appointment most places were booked up, my daughter was getting married the next day. I had an appt at 11am, but an older woman told me that my appt was at 10:30 and that I was late without even knowing my name. I wanted a pedi with gel and picked my color out. The older woman showed me a laminated page with add-ons for pedis, I declined and she told me my pedi would be $45. I wan't thrilled, but, wherever. Michelle was so nice and sweet. While brushing on the color, it was too light and too pink, not like the sample I chose, I asked for a different color that I disliked even more, but I just wanted to get this over with. She barely cleaned my cuticles and there was no message. Upon paying, I was told the total was actually $40, so that was good. I had my tip money in my hand and the older woman had her hand out for me to give it to her. No way, I told har I'd give it to Michelle myself. I didn't leave happy, but it was over and done with. I'll go to my regular salon, Luxe Nails and Spa in Seabrook and have the color fixed next week. I simply can't recommend Friendly Nails. read more

I just don't understand these negative reviews. I have been coming to Friendly Nails for over 2 years for gel nails and pedicures, and have brought my older and younger daughters, as well as my daughter-in-law. We have all received quality work and service. I know that if I pay cash, the price is a little lower: It says so on all of their signs. The owner is the manager, and has been so since I first came in the fall of 2012. I have met many loyal customers: I usually discover they go to Friendly Nails when I notice they have wonderful manicures and I ask where they got them. Trust me, Nails are not the center of my universe, but I know and appreciate a good job that lasts a full 2 weeks with excellent service. And, all the girls are very friendly! read more

I had gone there a few years ago and love it! The place was always busy and I never left disappointed. I needed a fill and a pedicure so I figured I would go there. (My normal place was closed on my only day off) the place looked like it just opened for the day, half the lights were off and it was 1:30. My fill was not the greatest and the shaping of my nails are definitely not even but overall the woman who did them was very friendly and tried to make them "beautiful" as she kept saying. When it came time for my pedicure she did not even give me a normal pedicure. The water was burning hot my feet were bright red and I told her that she did not change it. I said it again and she turned the water down fast then shut it off. She did not even fully take the polish off from my last pedicure. It was literally a 10 minute pedicure. The sad part is I wish I could say that was an exaggeration. Never will I go back there again. I don't know if they've changed owners since I've been there last or what happened. Oh I also forgot to mention that the manager had me pay right after the fill which I am more than ok with, but he also had me pay and tip for the pedicure I had not received yet. So the miserable chick who kept sighing and made my feet look like hell got a $7 tip for not doing her job and burning me. read more

Pedicure I was offered a pedicure with the salt for 25 dollars I accepted when I can start to get my debit card informed me I would be charged two dollars for using my credit card what should a been told to me before I accepted their offer. I occasionally would come here over the past few years. After my last visit it was clear something had changed. This place was disgusting!! They reuse metal tools without sanitizing them, they reuse files, and they do not rinse pedi bowls between customers. I doubt they would pass a state board inspection. I've been to plenty of salons that charge $25 for a pedicure so I don't believe you get what you pay for applies here. I brought my two daughters for pedicures and one of us had gel manicure and it was the biggest waste of 120$ ever!! If you can't polish without getting polish on the cuticle you shouldn't be working in a store front. Didn't shape buff or trim cuticles anything. There's air bubbles and dry skin in the polish. looked down during the service and saw the big toe a little sloppy but once I got into the sunlight I was furious. I WAS a regular here spending approx 100.00 a week for my daughter and I to do gel nails and pedi's,but no more! There are better establishment such as nail time not so far away that run a good business and are pleasant. I have had issues with the gel adhering, they will not fix it. RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN BEFORE ENTERING THIS PLACE. I have never had a worse pedicure or manicure in my life. First of all...SPA pedi and shellac manicure was advertised for $45.00. SPA pedicure? Are you kidding me? I can wash my own feet and paint my nails and that's all they did. I've never had a pedicure before that they don't exfoliate your feet. What the heck is the definition of a "spa" pedicure My manicure was worse. The girl cut 3 of my fingers to the extent of bleeding. I was outwardly upset so she just stopped and started painting my nails while continuing the loud obnoxious Vietnamese banter to her obvious cohorts. I asked them to tell me what they were saying and what the heck was going on. They just ignored my request and said it's ok it's ok. This place is a disgusting mess. They NEED to be reported. I'm looking at THREE big gashes on my fingers that they inflicted and am getting a little nervous about infection. I hope I can save someone else the misery of this god awful establishment. Oh in addition to this I wasn't charged the $45.00 special advertised on their sign outside. My cost was $50.00. I asked about the $45.00 and they went into such a tail spin about it and I was really anxious to get home with my bleeding fingers that I paid it. I went here for a pedicure and a gel manicure and it was one of the worst experiences I have had at a nail salon. When the technician was prepping my nails for the gel manicure I kept telling her that I wanted the nailed rounded, not squared. But she kept squaring the shape. She also kept grabbing my fingers and telling me to relax. At that point, I decided I didn't want her to do a gel manicure because I didn't want to get stuck with her crappy job for two weeks. When I told I just wanted a regular manicure she flipped out and said that she had prepped my nails for a gel manicure which is different than what they would do for a regular manicure. She said they would not have cut my cuticles for a regular manicure. Despite that I had her just paint my nails clear. The polish was lumpy and looked terrible. I ended up asking the technician to just take the polish off completely. They charged me $40 for the pedicure and the terrible manicure. The staff was very rude about the whole thing. I will never go there again and would warn my friends about going there. Additionally, the facility was not clean and smelled funny. Called to ask price of french manicure and pedicure. Was told $20 for each. Made appointment. Was given a man nail tech (I think there are two men working there). I said I only want a pedicure, no massage, no extras. When the pedicure was finished, he said, "$30". I told him I had called and was quoted $20. He argued and argued. The girl who answered the phone came over and reiterated that it was $20. He insisted it was $30. I said that the quoted price should be honored but he continued to argue. I would have walked out at this point but I was going to a wedding later in the day and had no choice but to finish up. I told him I only brought enough cash for the $20/$20+ tip. He said, "see you soon then" or "you can pay be credit card". I was furious! I then had the manicure done. Terrible. The white portion of the top of the nail was 1/4" thick or more. I told him that was too thick. He argued that it had to be that way. (I have had french manicures done there before with a woman tech and it was much thinner). I will never go back there again. Never mind that it was very dirty in there - floors dirty and he even cleaned instruments in the tub with my feet in it!!! The person who answered the phone apologized.
