The installation process was smooth and professional--couldn't have asked for a better experience. Fast forward three years, and we suddenly weren't getting hot water. The only Rinnai approved plumber for servicing in our area came out and couldn't figure out the issue, which was frustrating. I called Hakim directly, and he came out the very next day and resolved the problem. His level of service was truly outstanding--knowledgeable, responsive, and great to work with. Regret I didn't catch all names but they were very respectful and friendly. Valve part things were replaced. Forget actual terms I think tee and nipple I don't know I'm not plumber. We had Jovani work on three separate issues during his visit: clearing the kitchen sink drain, which was not draining properly, he then replaced and disposed of an upstairs toilet, and finally replaced the cartridge from a dripping bathtub faucet. Jovani made sure we were satisfied with his work as he addressed each issue along the way. He completed the job in a timely manner and cleaned up after himself. I was quoted much higher than necessary for the work needed. I was told to snake my drain would be close to $400 and I didn't have a clean out drain needed one installed. Cost would be $1800. I said no thank you to both services and the tech left. (I later found the clean out under the house where the tech looked and said one wasn't there) Was here less than 5 minutes. Weeks later I had a text sent to me from a random phone number with a link to an invoice demanding payment for services never rendered. With the amount of scam texts people receive I ignored the text message. Fast forward to a months later I get an angry phone call demanding payment. After I explained service was never rendered from whoever the person was from this company who was adamant that they performed a service, I tried to explain nothing was done. That person then angrily said never call us again. I said no problem, I wouldn't do business with anyone who operates in this manner. Couldn't finish my statement though cause the guy hung up on me. I WOULD NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH ANYONE WHO TREATS POTENTIAL CUSTOMERS SO HORRIBLY! I've worked in hospitality for years, and this goes against every principle of good customer service. I hope you see this review owner of this company and address this issue. Word of mouth is everything in this business. And treating customers even those who opted out of potential services with respect is paramount in maintaining a good reputation. Do better guys.

I had a nasty clog backing things up and what turned out to be a small leak in one of my pipes. After a mild panic session, I called Star Rooter in Hayward. From the start, they were friendly and easy to talk to, which honestly helped calm me down. They came out, assessed everything, and let me know my line needed to be snaked. They explained what they were doing, didn't make me feel clueless, and got straight to work. The clog was cleared, and they were also able to fix the leak in my pipes the same visit. Huge relief. Now, plumbing work is not cheap -- and nobody is excited to pay for it -- but they got the job done efficiently and professionally. I'd rather pay once and have it handled correctly than deal with repeat issues. They mentioned there's a 10% discount if you say you found them on Yelp. I'm not 100% sure if it was applied to my final bill, but it's worth asking about when you call. Overall, solid experience. Friendly crew, quick response, and they fixed the problem without dragging things out. If you're in Hayward and dealing with plumbing drama, Star Rooter got it done for me.

Like many inexperienced senior homeowners, the process of choosing a plumber was riddled with anxiety. The media is rife with stories of scamming contractors and unreliable workmen. From the very start, Nexgen's Juan Gutierrez was patient with my many questions and requests; he was detailed and unfailingly polite. He did a thorough initial inspection and came back again when we had more questions. My instinct was to hire him but another plumbing company had offered a lower bid which I felt obliged to investigate. Soon it was apparent that there was no contest between Nextgen and the rival bidder. Choosing Nextgen put my mind at ease. Before the project could start, there was a backup in my backyard. Juan sent his crew to fix it--for free. When he found out that my husband was sick, he gave me a sizable discount on the bid. Once the project was underway, the speed, attention to detail and professionalism shown by Juan and his crew were incredible. I think even the city inspector and EBMUD inspector were impressed by their work. I won't ever have to look for another plumbing company!

A absolutely wonderful man named Mike set up an appointment with me and came out and inspected my meter which passed with flying colors. He was very friendly and informative. Real nice guy and the cost of his service was very fair. This is something that has to be done yearly and since EBMUD passed the burden to the homeowners I definitely will always call Mike at Diamond Plumbing, he is a person you can trust to do the job right!

DBA Same day HVAC services, paid one visit to my home to fix my furnace, which he described as plugging in the unit and turning on the gas, which was confirmed by the tech I haired that no one opened the unit to trouble shoot anything. On multiple occasions the technician called me stating "you just want a new furnace right"? I told him well yes if my current furnace could not be fixed. He then asked my wife the same thing before ever even looking at the furnace. Once he looked at the furnace he said he would fix it temporarily but get me the quote for the new unit. I was originally told $5246 then when I called the company the owner/GM told me oh you wanted us to run it through your insurance? Well I'll let them know we went out twice so they understand it needs replacement. I was confused at first so I was finally able to get a hold of a friend to come look at it that does HVAC and he said this unit is very clean internally and it's a capacitor and a small clog in the vacuum pump. It ended up being a $250 fix and told me I shouldn't have an issue with it for 5-7 yrs. I then receive an amended quote letting me know the replacement would be $3700. I have of course canceled them and requested a refund. If you are in the market stay clear of this company and their sub contractor. MS Services INC. DBA Same day air conditioning.

TL;DR We got ghosted and the job isn't done. $375 gone…read more Reached out for a washer repair. Initially, very responsive and came the next day to do an assessment and repair. He found (what he thought at the time) was the issue, got the parts, and repaired it in 4 hours. We thought everything was good and paid $375 for the repair. We ran the washer later that night and found there was still an issue. We reached back out and he said he'd come back the next day after his other jobs. Communication started lagging here. He initially told us he'd come between 4-6, but didn't say anything til 6:30. Came ~7pm and worked on the washer again. About 1.5 hours later, found another issue and said he'd come back Monday. On Monday, I reached back out and he wasn't super responsive. Heard back that he was at the store getting the part and that's the last we heard from him. We've reached out several times via text, Yelp, and phone call. We've left multiple messages and he's completely ghosted us. I should've done more digging into his past bad reviews, because this is consistent with those. I recommend finding someone else. It's not worth the chance of not getting your appliance fixed AND being out money. We could've just bought a new washer at this point.

Since then, the company has not given me an update although initially before ordering the part, they mentioned it should be delivered in less than a week. I have tried calling and reaching out to them over messages, the phone number listed is always switched off and they never reply back. The last thing as a customer you would want is pay these guys and wait for a part and they vanish completely. It's been over 3 weeks and I still have no communication from them. Very unprofessional. Would proceed with a diff service technician at this point as the job could be easily done in 3-4 days turn around time. Sorry ! Update 2: Based on the review feedback from Mark, if there is any delay in parts order, I think it is basic sense to inform the Home warranty company (who gave the service technician vendor the job) as well as the customer with a more accurate timeline. During the time of charging the service fee for diagnostics, it was mentioned the part should be delivered in less than a week. If this was completely off, an immediate timely update would be appreciated. Last, I am not sure how a business runs when they are not reachable on the phone ever, nor any correspondence through messages. Sorry! That's not at all an average customer experience, let aside a good experience.

I guess when your car hits 8 years, the first smog needs to happen and coincided just shy of 8 years *eye roll* I was in the area and came across Hayward Auto Care (HAC). STAR certified location which i realized (later) is overkill for my low-mileage and maintained vehicle. I was told up front the cost (was a bit surprised) and in hindsight, should've gone to a regular Smog Check location. Yes, I should've done my homework beforehand (failed) and paid more for convenience. Completed in 20mins. I would consider returning for other services. Be sure to utilize their COUPON (discount) on their Smog Service and other services located on their site! Disclaimer: There was no hard sell and/or pressure from Ken or his son who were friendly and efficient. Note: STAR stations are held to higher performance standards by the Bureau of Automotive Repair (BAR) and are authorized to test vehicles flagged as high-polluter risks
