    Meatloaf with mashed potatoes

Tucked away in Glendale. This pub style restaurant is known for great lunches. If you're looking for fancy you at the wrong place. The place is a converted house with wooden floors and walls adorned with license plates. Like stepping back in time in the movie "Back to the future." Home-cooked meals and burgers make up the majority of their menu. My waitress Kathy recommended the meatloaf. Which was homemade and delicious. Something my mom would be proud to call her own. Nothing fancy just good old-fashioned cooking. The place is nice. They treat you like family. I had to laugh as I walked out the door and read the sign that said : " Welcome back to the grim reality".

A definite locals bar. The bartenders made me feel welcomed but with limited seating at the bar, I had some old timers seat and I could tell he wasn't too happy. Since I'm no spring chicken it was my seat until I left. A lot of hamburgers being served and other food fare. I had a cup of bean and ham soup. I like mine better but it held its own. More of a white bean and clear broth. That was followed up with a delux cheeseburger and chips. It was good but not g special. It was reasonably priced. Decent bar food but no stand outs. It is a busy bar for locals.

This is your typical dive place just that it opened over a century ago (est. 1907!). The burger was pretty darn good. The onion rings were also good. The cheese sticks are most like frozen cheese sticks from Costco. The place has a great vibe. Loved the classic Brroke Burke poster in the bathroom. The waitress was very friendly and the service was fast. Would definitely eat a burger here again!

I found this place on a trip to the area to visit my MIL. I was warmly greeted and felt right at home. I ordered the garlic burger and loved it! The burger itself was cooked perfectly and then topped with whole roasted garlic cloves just put it over the top! If you find yourself in the area, do not hesitate to stop in and enjoy the warm hospitality and great food!

I have been to the Friendly Stop before and from what I remember it was pretty tasty and the service was good. First, place is small so I kept that in mind when we came in with four adults and three kids. It's for sure a local spot. When we got there they were pretty busy there was one table left and we were able to sit there. We sat down and about a few minutes later our server came over to us to take our drink order. Several minutes later she came back to us without our drinks and said she is running ten minutes behind so she will be with us shortly, about twenty minutes later we got our drinks. We ordered shortly after that and we waited an additional probably 40 minutes for our food. When we did get our food it was hot, it was good and everyone seemed to enjoy it. Maybe it was a bad day for service. I would visit again. However, I wouldn't wait if the same situation occurred again.

The ambience is great. Old neighborhood tavern started in 1907. Originally was a house, turned into barber shop turned into tavern. The staff is friendly fast and efficient. Sat at the bar that later filled up with friendly regulars. Now the food. IT WAD ON POINT. I've been craving a good beef Manhattan and this was probably the best I've had. Except they call it open face roast beef. In any event it was a lot of food, but I'm a bit of a fatso so I finished it. I've heard from fellow patrons the garbage nachos, Cajun fries and garlic burger are all must try. Next time people. Parking is a bit janky but I'm telling you it's worth whatever drive or hassle you have to endure to get there.

Have been back many times since our first visit and have eaten. The food is top notch and the tator tots hit the spot.

Sundy's exemplifies such a dive bar and is located in Finneytown, about 10 miles north of downtown. It is a small, family-owned establishment, so don't be surprised if--after only 2 or 3 visits--the bartenders and frequenters remember your face. The bartenders are friendly and knowledgeable, and the drink prices are probably too reasonable (but don't tell them I said that!). There are daily drink specials that will satisfy even the hardest of drinkers. Sundy's is "The Home of the Stormcloud" but I always recommend the Nada Bomb: originated on the West side, it is a shot comprised of cherry vodka, orange juice, red bull and a splash of cran. These shots run $5 per, so I always suggest simply buying a pitcher for the unbeatable price of $20 (the pitcher equals about 10 shots, so it's a really great deal, especially to buy for a round). Feel free to come visit to sit back and enjoy Trivia Night on Thursdays (www.lastcalltrivia.com), watch your favorite team(s) on any of its multiple flat screens, or just to hang out with friends. Though, don't plan on coming in on Sundays, as that is the only day the bar is closed during the week.
