Classic friendlys food and ice cream with a great staff. There environment is family friendly. I brought my mom hear for national ice cream day. Everyone in the place was so happy. It has kind of a classic back to the Future feel. Definitely recommend stopping by. Easy parking right near the door. Clean and everyone serves you with a smile. read more

This Friendly's has been here for years now. I've been going since I was a kid. They have added more staff all at once which isn't so good for service. When I walked in last week I saw all new people and there was a line waiting to be seated with so many open seats. The kitchen could be much more efficient. The food is amazing and everything, but to be quite frank, service could be so much better. read more

I was there with my family at Friendly's last night until when it's time for them to close the dine-in place. Now for me I've a murshroom burger & it taste good but for me I'll will not eat too much murshrooms because it made my tummy hurt a lot if I'll eat murshrooms. Also I've a 2 for 20 which it comes with a sundae I've the mint choclate chip sundae, my brother, & my father also have the same thing. I mean the food taste good, even the watier looking so nice & also the staff look very nice as well! This review is based on a visit to the Friendly's establishment on December 29th, 2015. Me and a few friends of mine were indecisive on where to eat, since I would be admitted to the hospital the following week and one of them said, "Hey, let's try Friendly's." Still me and the other associate were indecisive, but we came to a conclusion that we would eat at Friendly's. Just a quick note, "Two out of the three of us have never eaten at Friendly's, so it was a first time experience and since it is a Franchise, we expected at least food that would be decent and passable for the night. Unfortunately, this was not a good first time experience for the two of us. To be specific, I will rate the important aspects of this fairly long review Atmosphere 1/5 - As previously stated by a few reviewers before me, this establishment does indeed need an update. Everything here looks out-dated and the seats without stools are barely suitable for two people. Without any exaggeration, the interior (with the exception of the seats) appears as if you are eating in a high school cafeteria. It is a franchise restaurant, but at least make it clean and tidy. Floor was dirty and not properly kept as I felt like my shoes were sticking to the ground as I was moving. If an onion had feelings, it would likely start crying by how ugly the interior of the restaurant looks. Plain and simple. Drinks 3/5 Ordered a minute maid lemonade for myself, another ordered a Sprite and the third ordered Coca-Cola. I find it really difficult for someone to mess up drinks coming from a soda fountain, but hey you never know. Not too much ice on the drinks, which does not take out the fizz and taste which is good. Customer Service 5/5 Likely their strongest asset in the establishment as our waitress was on top of everything and always brought us refills quickly when we were running out. When I was eating part of my meal and then finished eating part of it, she noticed that it was not the way that I ordered it, so she asked if I wanted to get it heated up in the grill. I respectfully denied the request. Food 1/5 This is the most important aspect of a restaurant and by far, was the most disappointing of all the four. For the appetizers, we got the loaded waffle fries with cheese on top and the kickin buffalo chicken tenders. The kickin buffalo chicken tenders looked like some kind of chicken tenders soup, as it was drowsed with spicy hot buffalo sauce. Despite the presentation of the chicken tenders, the smell was good and it the texture seemed as if it was done right. Even with the high amount of the spicy hot buffalo sauce, it tasted good. The celery sticks looked clean, edible and satisfying as well as the Bleu cheese sauce that they give. Without a doubt, this appetizer was the best part of what we ordered the entire night. Next, the Loaded Waffle Fries. The Waffle Fries with cheddar cheese sauce was good as well. Not the best, but still was worth eating as it was worth buying, since our entrees were not that great. Now here come the highly anticipated entrees!! First, the Country Chicken Tenders with French Fries. My friend ate the chicken tenders without any complaints, but he left a large portion of his fries and he did not like it. I tried a few of them and found them to be as if they had been sitting in the freezer for months. Secondly, the Clam Strips Platter with fries that another friend of mine ordered was another disappointment. Really did not even eat the Clam Strips, nor the French Fries, which I already assumed how the French fries tasted. The Clam Strips, I did not get to try because I was looking forward towards leaving from a such unsatisfying experience in the restaurant but yet, the worst of all the entrees has yet to come. The third entree was a Sirloin steak that I ordered, which consists of mash potatoes (no gravy), and corn. This had to be the biggest mistake that I have done, since I didn't know what their specialties are until I noticed all the ice cream and sundaes that they had in fridges and were bringing out. Back to the entree, the steak was really bad. I asked for the steak to be well done and instead, received it medium to medium well. Looking at the appearance of the steak, it looked as if it were some left overs from a few days ago and it was hard as rock. The smell was obvious that the steak was of cheap quality. Just by how hard the steak still was, I knew that I 'd have to brace for the worst. I looked and took a fairly large sized piece or the steak to eat and as I cut and ate part of that piece, I found it to taste like rotten beef. The corn, I seriously did not like. It tasted like cheap canned corn. The mashed potatoes were okay. Nothing special, just a starchy vegetable that you can taste the white fluffyness in every individual bite. read more

We decided to try to eat here because we never ate here together so we pulled end and walked right inside at first there was nobody in the front seat us then somebody came and we told them three so some woman blonde haired was just standing there staring at everything she signaled to put us in the far back so we sat down waited a little while before somebody even came over by that time we figured out our drinks and whole meal order. So we gave our order and waited, finally our food came but no drinks first so i heard our server say oh the drinks and ketchup so we expected those to come back. It seemed like they gave our server 4 out of the only 6 tables in the place so we gave little slack but we finished atleast half our meal but then i finally got up and told them we needed our drinks. We finally got them and within this time we saw that same blonde haired worker that was standing around the whole time was really a server and was given 2 tables. The service in this place was so bad and unreal and this place was so empty so no excuses for 3 servers to be crazy busy with a total of 5-6 tables the whole time in the place. I worked alot of jobs for tips so i still left a 10$ tip for only a 36$ bill which I shouldn't have but i know how it is. I went here for lunch because I had at 20% off entire purchase coupon. The decor has been updated so it looked a lot cleaner and fresher. The prices seem like they have gone up. The app I got was $11.99 and the honey chicken sandwich I got was $9.99 These are diner prices but at least at diners you get additional sides with your meal like coleslaw in addition to fries. The food was ok by Friendly's standards. Nothing amazing but also nothing terrible. Prices too high for the type of food they serve. Most of the food on the menu you can make at home for a fraction of the price, such as grilled cheese and a cup of soup . read more

Thank God there are still some left. When I was a kid they were everywhere. Now they are few and far between. I was happy to drive the 30 minutes with my family to this one. The mushroom bacon cheese burger was fantastic! Followed as usual by a Reeses Pieces sundae. Hands down one of the greatest ice cream combinations ever devised! Great service here as well. This is the dirtiest restaurant I've even been to. Layers of dust and grime just inches from my face in the booth with splattered food (I hope) all over the window dividing my booth from the one next to it. Debris all over the floor, straws and straw wrappers strewn about and chunks of food everywhere on the carpet. One stall in the ladies room so dirty no one would use it. Terrible service. We were seated and waited at least 15 minutes, and no one came to take our order, not even our drink order. Others that came in after us were being served, and another family that was already seated had the waiter come to their table at least 3 times while we were waiting. It wasn't even that crowded. I gave this restaurant 2 stars because it wasn't the worst place I've been to. I ordered a BLT on sourdough bread. My sandwich came out on stale, toasted white bread and barely had any mayonnaise on it which made the sandwich extremely dry. After 2 bites the roof of my mouth was cut up and raw. Had to ask server for additional mayonnaise. Their was enough lettuce on it to make a side salad. The cook should have mentioned to the server that he was out of sourdough bread. Then I would have ordered something else. Lack of communication here. I also ordered coffee which was old and not good. If I return I will definitely repeat my order to server. The last time I was there, however, topped it all off. Our server ignored us, I mean, walked past our table several times and ignored our "excuse me's" to try to order our meal. I dined at this Friendly's last night. I walked in with Friendly's coupons that were printed out from received a received email. I ordered a pastrami sandwich on rye with a small amount of cole slaw and mustard and broccoli. The broccoli was delicious! BUT on the otherhand, the mustard was missing. I just thought that perhaps it got mixed with the cole slaw. AND this Friendly's is franchised and refused to accept the two coupons - buy a supermelt sandwich for $5.99 & buy a supermelt sandwich and buy a happy ending sundae for an additional $1.99. This Friendly's reluctantly accepted the first coupon and refuse to accept the second coupon. This Friendly's is definitely off my places to dine. read more

This was by far the worst experience of my life. I can handle inattentive service and poor food when an establishment is busy but this was just poor management all around. From the start it took about 10-15 min to get a server because she was busy flirting with the manager. Next we order drinks which come fairly quickly and I wish that was the tone that continued throughout our experience but it wasn't. We ordered food and I got something to go as well she said remind me later I said ok. She never came back until it was time to drop off food meanwhile I am watching her play around stop to talk and hug other employees for what seemed like forever while her other tables waited to be greeted. Once the food arrived we again watched as she hung out in the front with the manager and let not only us wait but yet another new table of hers wait 15 min before acknowledging them. Everything was just bad we asked for boxes and dessert menu and for Togo order to be put in. 20min later after making eye contact with her she ran for menus and boxes. We ordered dessert and at this point I realize I need to ask for everything at once so I can get out of here within the hr. So I ask for the check boxes for ice cream and the Togo order. Her face shows she forgot the Togo order and she runs to the computer. 15 min later she returns and says the chicken sandwich will be right out. I politely remind her it was a burger well done no tomatoes and she runs to the kitchen to change it. The manager aware of how mad I am because I was watching him the whole time (maybe worked for 3min out of the two hours it took to eat being that she was so slow) didn't care to come by in fact he enabled the behavior. It's just nobody goes to friendlys for food just service and ice cream and they can't even get that right. Every other time it has been great tonight was a mess and it showed from under scheduling to poor execution it was not their best performance. I won't name names because it doesn't matter really it was the culture the manager this evening was setting that made the server be as horrible as she was. Also maybe a little bit of the fact that this is not the right job for her. Horrible experience won't be back for a while and most def won't ever go again at night. read more
