Someone burped and it was a disgusting experience to be honest. The customers were locals but they were disgusting. How do you allow that?

On our way home from NY stopped in for a light dinner. The clam chowder is my favorite- ordered a bowl and got about half filled... but it was hot. Tuna roll was dry Shared banana split was the worst. Maybe they freeze the banana? It was rotten & old and dark. Requested a new banana- same. Young staff who may need better training and more staff? Not overly clean environment & we were asked if we wanted a discount when the very young manager? Stopped over. Just seemed basic things were not afforded. Our server Skylar was amazing. She was the only server there that night and was literally just handling it like a pro. The restaurant was clean and super cute. Just what you'd want from a Friendly's. The food was great for Friendly's. I got a Fishamjig, and a happy ending sundae. Both amazing. My friend got the adult Mac and cheese and a grilled cheese and was over the moon. She also got a brownie sundae and we were both super happy. This is the place to go if you're looking for good food and an awesome time. read more

I've been driving by Friendly for 21 years on my way to the USAF base in Chicopee Ma. I often stopped on my way home to Vermont. They have had their ups and downs. I often made plans with my family to meet there and had supper if I needed to return to the base for work. Since my Retirement in 2014 I've continued to eat at friendly with my family. The atmosphere is warm and inviting the menus are improved with color pictures and it looks as though they painted. The food comes from the kitchen hot and delicious the wait staff is friendly and helpful. read more

Food was ok. Cheese sauce tasted like chemicals. Every thing i wanted, they were out of. No waffle fries, no specialty drink. No fruity pebbles for ice cream. how do you even run out of a CEREAL topping?? The best part of my visit to this friendlys was the burger. Customer Service was so bad. Emily stood in the back talking for minutes at a time. Forgot my drink, and when it was time to pay she gave us the receipt and left for 10 minutes. We had to ask another server where to pay because she seriously disappeared!! I'm beyond disappointed in this visit. I rarely go to Friendly's and i was expecting a better visit than this. We ordered food and it took forever to get to us. we even saw some people leave because they were taking so long. our ice cream also came to our table melted. they blamed the wait on us and straight up just lied to us. It definitely looked like a friendly's. do better next time. There was also hair in our food. My favorite part of being here was the trip to the bathroom. Food was reasonably good, but they fall short in every other way. Upon entering, we noticed a strong smell, possibly of cleaning chemicals. Service was extremely slow. We arrived for lunch at about 11:15, and were the only customers. We were finally served at 11:50. My lobster bisque had to be warmed up. The rice on my husband's lobster quesadilla came after he had finished eating. It took another 10 minutes to receive our bill, and the waitress held our credit card for too long. read more

I was on assignment so I needed a quick meal I happened to go through their drive you through service where I got a burger and a Sunday. The burger wasn't too great it was an oversized meat patty for the bun. And also was a bit on the bland side. The reason I'm giving them five stars is because they gave me a big serving of fries for free. Not sure if that was a mistake or if the little old lady at the cash register could tell I would have a hankering for fries. The Sunday was also delicious. Appears the drive-through customers took priority over the dine-in crowd. Felt sorry for Diane, our server. She was the only waitstaff on duty handling all 23 tables at 4pm Sunday night. We waited 10 minutes to be seated, then 10 minutes for Diane to catch up to our table. Took a long time for the one bus-boy to clean the dirty tables, but you could tell there was not enough employees to do the nasty jobs. Fish sandwich and ice cream were good. read more

Last night we decided to get Friendly's to go and have to say that we were less than impressed by the service. When we ordered our food the person over the phone was really polite and professional. When we got to the restaurant to pick up our meals, that was a completely different story. The waitress who met me at the door was again polite, and I believe she was the person who took my order. As she was trying to ring me up, the staff members in the kitchen were being extremely loud, disruptive, and were making it difficult for her to cash out. The worst person out of the bunch was an older man who was cooking with the younger staff members. He continuously yelled at the staff, even when there were guests near the door. This to me is unbearable because it is not only rude to the guests, bus is degrading to the staff. After I purchased our meals, the waitress thanked us, and politely moved along. When we got home and opened our to go boxes were were surprised to see that out BBQ Chicken Supermelts were covered with little pieces of burnt food that came from their grill. After we wiped those off, the sandwiches were OK. When we have gone to this particular Friendly's in the past we have spent forever there waiting for our food. I think that overall the wait staff is great, but there needs to be something done in the kitchen, because they are struggling to put out some quality food. read more

This is a beautiful Friendly's. The decor has a lot of "old timey" images and I really liked it. I was traveling from NH to CT with my Mom, after a week in the mountains, and we needed to find a place to stop for lunch. We stumbled upon this Friendly's by accident - and it was a happy accident. I ordered clam chowder, and we both ordered a burger and fries, with some specific requests. The burgers came out as requested (minus being cooked medium rare, which is hard with a little patty), yet the burgers came out before the clam chowder, which wasn't OK. The service was personable and good - it was late for lunch so we were about the only patrons in the place. For some reason, the manager decided to hold a staff meeting in the dining room while we were there, which was interesting. When you go to Friendly's you know what to expect - and that's what this location delivers. I'm sorry to see so many locations have been closed - it's a loss for the communities they served. Waited to get seated, normal. 30 minutes went buy before we were acknowledged at our table. I had to get up and go to the ice cream bar to be sure we weren't forgotten about. And the waitress said "yes I know, I was just making like 8 ice creams" but when I walked up the ice cream bar was fully staffed and everyone was working away but her. Another 10 minutes went by before we were seen. I in no way wanted to be rude but it was late and we were looking for a "quick" meal. We ordered our food and I got a grilled chicken sandwich, the bottom bun was soaked in, water? Grease? We'll never know. It just kept dripping everywhere. The saving grace was the waffle fries, fribble, and the door that was already propped open for us to leave. Last time I went through here it had new ownership and was the best location in New England. I walked in the door and could tell things had changed--filthy, goofing off employees, unkempt uniforms. Waited five minutes to be seated, given menus, then we never saw another server in the dining room. Saw some in the kitchen area goofing off, looking our way. Ten other tables of people who had received their food. We waited ten minutes and left. Awful. These people just don't care. Such a pity, as the last management team was stellar. We walked in to have a sit down casual meal for a break in our long drive home. There was someone ahead of us waiting who said that they had been told someone would be with them but that no one came.....she left.....we continued to wait and still no one came. A manager came out and we told her that it was ridiculous that we had been there for AT LEAST five minutes and there were at least two employees who saw us but said NOTHING. Immediately an older employee scoffed "well I was making an ice cream".......oh...so you can't address waiting customers? While standing there waiting we watched a young employee get toppings for an ice cream by pouring them into his bare hand and put them on the ice cream.....no gloves......needless to say we left and will NEVER come to this Friendly's if driving through...... if I could give zero stars I for sure would! read more

I've never been to a drive thru friendlys before so when I saw there was one up here we just had to stop. We were driving up from six flags to our resort for the week and needed food late at night, thank goodness for this cute lil drive thru. I got the honey bbq chicken sandwich and my boyfriend got the chicken finger platter. Best fast food chicken sandwich I've ever had, hands down. It was soooo hot and fresh and it came out in like five minutes. He killed his chicken tenders of course and the French fries were crispy and hot and perfectly seasoned. I love friendlys and visit them often but this is definitely one of the top locations I've been to, not to mention the drive thru option is awesome! I saw people saying the service was rude but I'm from NY so it seemed like normal service to me haha, the girl in the window did get a tiny bit snippy but my boyfriend asked a rather repetitive question so I can see why she would be like dude...rlly lmaooooo basically what I'm saying is the service was fine to me and to him, maybe people are used to everyone being super nice and super patient over here but I didn't find anything wrong with the service, she was just trying to keep the line moving and who can blame her!
