Aqua Blue Pools re-plastered (NPT StoneScapes "Tropics Blue" - Collection: Small Puerto Rico Blend)…read moreand re-tiled our pool recently, and did a fabulous job. They worked efficiently and minimized the mess associated with such extensive concrete/plaster removal, cleaning up the deck area and existing hardscape daily. Pool rust issues, which proved to be more extensive than appeared when the job was bid, were mitigated thoroughly with no additional charges. It initially appeared that there were two rust areas but four were uncovered as plaster removal proceeded. Ernesto Vega, project manager, was really great to work with and quickly responded to our concerns as they arose (phone or text to him works fastest!). Aqua Blue Pools were very competitive with the other four bids we received, although a big factor in selecting them was that they had just completed our neighbor's pool and they are really happy with the results (pool looks beautiful). The whole job took only 2 1/2 weeks even though work stopped 4 days for the Thanksgiving holiday. We are only three days into the startup process to establish the correct water chemistry and the pool, which looked great once Aqua Blue finished the job, is looking even better each day as the water color becomes more correct. BTW, be aware that the water out of the tap looks really odd when first added to the pool, like green swamp water in our location, until the chemical startup is complete (about one or two weeks) and the water chemistry is correct.

I like this gym, it's a bit more like a club than purely a gym, but I don't really use the club…read morefacilities so the gym part is what I'm reviewing here. No tennis, no pool, no snack bar. Anyway, there are three key things for me when it comes to a gym. First is cleanliness, second is shower facilities, third is equipment. AVAC is a relatively small gym and I tend to go at off hours. This means not many people, so thankfully it's very clean inside. If you think about a 24 Hour Fitness or similar, they have hundreds of people constantly working out, there's no way to uphold hygiene standards. AVAC, despite being small, has frequent cleanings happening, which is nice. The showers at AVAC are... okay. On the plus side, they provide towels, which is a dealbreaker for me. Who wants to bring their own towel to a gym? So that's a big convenience factor. The towels have been bleached and washed to the point they are marginally more absorbent than copy paper and quite rough, but I guess a towel is a towel. The showers themselves are workable but not ideal. Communal in nature, which I personally find awkward, but going at off hours at least allows me to have them to myself or only 1-2 others at most. If it was packed I'd probably wait, it's just too weird. The shampoo and body wash are not very high quality, kind of reminds me of what you'd get at a cheap motel. But again, at least it's there. I also don't want to cart my own soap around. For the gym's size, the equipment variety and quantity is good. I've never not been able to get a treadmill, I've always been able to get the free weights I want, and there are usually benches available. The only thing in short supplies are squat racks, of which there are two, and space for deadlifts, which is basically also two. I would say the gym's clientele leans towards... not people doing those types of exercise. So I haven't typically had to wait, but again I also don't go at peak hours. There are also tons of machines, if you're the type of person who thinks isolation exercises are good. Better than nothing I suppose, but that's just me. AVAC offers a lot of free classes, of which I've taken none. They also have a snack bar, which I've never used. There's also a pool (not the swim school pool which is like 2.5' high) and a kiddie pool outside, neither of which I've been in. And there are tennis courts and pickleball and some outdoor fitness area, which, you guessed it, I have never been to. I wouldn't say AVAC is a destination gym the way Bay Clubs are, but if you're closeby it's probably the best one around. They also have plenty of parking in back in two lots.

5 Stars - Exceptional Service & Quality Work!…read more We had an amazing experience with Ben from Baby Barrier Pool Fence. From start to finish, he was professional, prompt, and incredibly knowledgeable. As an owner-operator, Ben clearly takes pride in his work -- and it shows. He walked us through all our options, explained the installation process in detail, and helped us find the best layout for our pool area. The fence looks great, feels incredibly secure, and gives us so much peace of mind knowing our little one is protected. Ben was on time, courteous, and left everything clean dustless spotless after the job was done. You can tell he really cares about families' safety and doing the job right. Highly recommend Baby Barrier and Ben if you're looking for top-tier quality and service. One of the best decisions we've made for our home and our 5 grandkids safety!

They are incredibly organized and work around the clock for you. I created a Pinterest board and asked Erica to help choose the materials that were within my budget but achieved the same look and she did an amazing job. There were things I added that were not in the plans like a window seat, etc that they were determined to figure out how to do for me without charging more- they don't nickel and dime where reasonable. Sure we had some bumps along the way. You'd be naive to do a remodel and not think there would be no matter how organized you are. But they always worked through it with us and sincerely wanted us to be happy. And that's the thing - I always felt their sincerity in wanting us to be happy. They understood that we were pretty much sinking everything we had in this remodel and thus really helped us to achieve our dream home. Ron was incredible at working through challenging situations- working through ways to resolve. But I'll say the ultimate test is after moving in. This is where I'm even more convinced we chose the right builders. Anything and I mean anything we see that needs fixing they do not question or hesitate and immediately send someone over to address. It's been incredible and gives me peace of mind. Even years from now I think if something comes up they wouldn't hesitate to assess. They have such integrity and back up their work. They feel like family. Because they are so efficient, if you use them. You need to make sure you can make decisions quickly and have a general idea of what you want upfront. I took a leap of faith with them as their bids were not nearly as detailed as any other though as competitive. I'm so glad I did!
