IF you're gonna go to 6 flags... (Even with how extremely overpriced it is...) ... You might as well just go during the Fright Fest here. Dig through the haunted houses (ask if you have to) & look for the one that's themed on Hollywood horror movies (hopefully they still have it )... it was the best haunted house I've EVER been to. There are 5 haunted houses this year, Ill list them in order from my least to most favorite. I went Sunday, October 5th. Cadaver Hall Asylum- maybe if the actors had been doing their job and not talking to each other (one girl kept saying the other girls name "nicole, nicole, have you talked to so and so...") it would have been good, dunno. It pretty much sucked. Medical theme. Total Darkness- neat idea, you run into things a lot since you are actually walking around in the dark. The actors come up behind you and blow in your ear or make noises but its not really scary. Cirkus Berzerkus- this one was cool because it was 3d. You wear glasses and all the cool stuff to look at made it fun. Other than being cool to look at it wasn't that impressive, not many actors at all, but I guess you dont really need them when the main focus is all the 3d stuff on the walls. Clown theme. Zombie Infestation- good job, guys! There was one actor who contorted his body in a really crazy way and came at you with his tongue out. I didn't think he was a real person at first he was bent over so backwards. Good decorating, good acting, enthusiastic crew, all around really good haunted house. Zombie theme. Piggys blood shed-WOW! Top notch, seriously! This haunted house was so good, I can't rave about it enough. Every inch of the place was decorated beautifully, so much time and money went into making this place perfect, you can really tell. The actors were amazing, you genuinely get creeped out in some of the rooms, the music playing was perfect, the props were perfect, everything was just perfect. I went through it twice it was so good. Would have gone a 3rd time if I wasn't so tired from walking around the park for so long. Expect traffic delays of up to 30 min + before you get to the entrance of six flags just to park. You will also most likely park in the very back unless you come when the park opens. You will wait 20 min + to get in the park due to everyone trying to get through. You will wait hrs to get on 1 ride. There wasn't to many decorations for fright fest just a few things here and there. I didn't even want to think about paying for the haunted houses and good thing too, many ppl did not like them. On top of that rides were closed. This is why i never came to fright fest, but i will give it one more chance on a weekday just because i have a season pass. Will it be the same? Ill tweet about it when i go. read more

Fright Fest: Six Flags - Amusement Parks Near Me - Arlington, Texas

Well was better than what I had expected from my friends that work at various haunts or go thru haunts regularly. We had come last year to activate our season passes but never went thru the haunted houses as it was either Halloween weekend or the weekend before so while the park wasn't that bad crowd wise the haunts all had decent lines. Plus I was trying to get an idea of how my daughter would do in a haunt by walking thru scare zones which she did really well in. So this year we were using up our passes as we decided to not renew them and we're trying to make sure we hit all of the rides we wanted too ... then we would renew them the following year. My husband and daughter headed out & some of my friends who had just gotten passes for 2017 went through the houses. For the most parts the houses were pretty well executed, I liked the 3-d paint job in the clown theme one. Black out was just ok but it was fun to hear the two girls we got put with as a group of 5 get scared. The insane asylum was better than expected and my friends had said it improved from the previous week when they had gone, they had gotten the haunt season pass attached to their passes, so hopefully they continue to improve. The one complaint I had was in one of the houses, the zombie one tucked way back from the rest had a room of actors standing there talking to a person in a blue polo shirt. As my two friends who I was with work at a haunt said to me ... at any other haunt if actors did that in the haunt with customers in the house they would have had their heads bitten off by the boss and probably fired on the spot. If something needs to be said by a manager or other staff member to actors immediately due to any issue they need to not do it in the haunt they need to step out of the walkthru area in front of customers! It was unfortunately times as that was the next to last haunt we had gone thru. The last haunt we went thru was piggy which seemed like it would be pretty bad but was better Than the zombie, but it was honestly what I expected from 6 flags. So if you want a genuine hAunt experience please try one of the various haunt amusement parks in the area. If your already going to be at 6 flags with your passes and can see yourself going thru multiple times during fright fest then it might be worth the $25 I paid for my haunt pass to attach to my annual pass. Will I probably get it next time I get a season pass? Probably not but I'm glad I gave it a shot for the 3 haunts that were good/what I expected out of 6 flags. read more

These are lame compared to what Six Flag could do. The best one was the piggies bloodshed. They scared me a few times and I'm not easy to scare. They had good props, noice and people. The Cadaver Hall was the worst one. No lighting so you couldn't see any details on what few props they had. Cirque berzerk and The Vampire was just ok. I've yet to see the other 2 although all the park employees will tell you that Piggies is the best. read more

We're season pass holders, so we decided we may as well add the Fright Fest Haunted House portion to it. Over the pass month or so, we've come about 2-3 times for a few hours each time to enjoy the ambiance and slowly conquer each maze. We've done a few mazes a few time to experience the changes. These are the mazes and what we thought of it: Blackout: It was literally blacked out. It was impossible to see anything even after my eyes adjusted. It wasn't created frightening--it was just frighteningly dangerous as I could've tripped onto a number of things and slammed my face into a wall. Zombie Infestation: Nope. I got to this maze towards the end of October and I guess that's when the crowd starts coming in. It's like lining up through the mazes. Zombies don't even have a chance to get back into their hiding spots. When they do, they get really in your faces and they'll give you a good stare, so get ready for a stare off. Piggy's Blood Shed: This maze was so hyped up for us. We ran into a former Fright Fest worker and she told us it's the scariest one thing year. We anticipated it to be frightfully good. It was. When we went in September. The props were scary. We went again in October and we were again herded, like piggies. If they wanted me to experience what it'd be like to be a piggy about to meet my makers, then they've hit the mark. Cirkus Berzerkus: I love the artwork! I kept touching the walls to see if it was really textured and sticking out or just great artwork. It's like walking through a gallery. Not much to frighten me though! I liked this one a lot more in September than October when it got crowded and they just let everyone in at the same time. Cadaver Hall Morgue: This one was probably up there for scariness. Nothing like dangling bodies parts to bring me to the scary reality that it can happen to anyone anytime. It was definitely more concept than execution though. The rest of park: it's much the same except now there's ghouls haunting the ground and security guards wandering about. The decorations are actually pretty good. There are also more live entertainment, but I never really stood around to watch. Overall: more fun in September than October--less wait, less line, less teenagers doing dumb sh*t, less people around in the mazes so you can actually be freaked out read more

Same as a normal visit to Six Flags, but with lots of strobe lights and fog. Zombies were especially plentiful and are the monster of the day, I suppose. Even more crowded than usual. Still, a fun night will be had, if you like that kind of thing. read more

RIDICULOUSLY TOO EXPENSIVE for an off brand version of Universal Studios Fright Night. I searched and searched for pricing on Fright Fest and came up with $30 for Haunted Houses and $50 for VIP passes (it lied). READ FURTHER FOR ACTUALLY PRICING. We ended up driving 2 hours excited to experience some Haunted Houses. As soon as I arrived I was regretting my decision. $30 for parking $40 for preferred parking...what is this Horror Nights at Universal Studios? We were in line for tickets with numerous people in our ear trying to get us to give them money for their Haunted House Passes. I knew the prices were off and this was going to get expensive. The Price sign on the gate once again said $30 for Haunted Houses pass and $50 for VIP passes. That all changed when we went to the attendant. She explained you need Season Passes to get into the park and you also need to buy the Haunted Houses Passes on top of the season tickets. Even if we did not want to ride any rides we still needed to pay all that money for 6 hours of waiting in line for Haunted Houses. At over $250 for admission for 2 people plus parking I was not in the mood for Haunted Houses. We still tried our best to have a good time since we already drove 2 hours but that pricing made it hard. Luckily it was drizzling so there was zero lines which made it more enjoyable. The 6 haunted houses were okay but nothing special. I expected way more than cheesy scares from a theme park like Six Flags. Honestly Horror Nights at Universal Studios is cheaper and another level of fun and scary. I would not waste my money here on this off brand version. I feel lied to since it never mentioned neither online nor at the gate that we had to get season tickets to be able to go to the Haunted Houses. The only good news is we now have season tickets until January 2020 but still have to buy the Haunted House Passes. read more

Overall I do enjoy six flags. The freight fest, however, was very disappointing. You have to pay an extra fee on top of the ticket price to go through the haunted houses. This wouldn't of been too bad, but the haunted houses were awful. The actors just didn't seem into it and the decorations seemed cheap. No wonder there was never a line to get into them. read more

We went in 10/31/15 and had so much fun!! The line for the rides were a little too long and only ended up getting in Mr. Freeze. We really came for the haunted houses so that is what we focused on. They were all great except for the Circus one..very boring and kid-like. Our favorite was the Insane Asylum!! It was THE best haunted house I have EVER gone to!!! The meat factory one was good but we were behind some kids who thought turning around and screaming in our faces were funny. It got better once we got in front of them. The pig one was very good as well until we caught up with an older couple who was standing there admiring a painting. Who admires a painting in a haunted house???? But anyway, after we caught up with them it got boring because they were moving so slow *yawn* Overall great experience and so very worth it! read more

This was my first time going to a six flags fright fest, so I had high hopes... I expected a consolidated well laid out area that would be exclusive FRIGHT FEST, I mean that is why I purchased a separate ticket right. What we got was a wrist band and pointed in the direction of the first attraction... None of the attractions were on the map, most of the employees had no idea where they were exactly, the park has next to no signage to tell you where you are, and if you don't know how to work the app the haunted houses aren't on the listed places... Also there is the random fright fest attractions on the main thouroghfares around the park... really poor planning. People pumping tons of smoke in to overly crowded areas where people are now running into reach other. Other areas had people dressed as zombies with knee pads sliding across the ground, in busy areas, we saw a little kid get knocked down by one of these zombies running and sliding. Overall we made it to the zombies and piggies and they were ok, but not scary. Trying to traverse this park is ridiculous due to what little signage they do have being hidden by tons of random advertisements. And finally we found fright fest to be a disappointing/infuriating waste of money for what a company as big as six flags could have done. read more

this was horrible we spent so much money to go to fright fest and me and my friend only went on one ride because of the long lines. the line was so long we waited for two and a half hours to ride one ride. we got there at 6:30 and left at 10:15, only getting to ride one ride!!!! read more

its that time of year again, when things go bump in the night. fright fest is ok, thank goodness theyve added some new stuff, like mr six's fright party, scaryoke,and theyre trying to get in the guinessbook of world records for most people doing "thriller" dance. but they still have some of the same stuff like, "welcome to arania's nightmare" were a black widow bride's prev. 13 husbands have died under mysterious circumstances, and shes on the hunt for number 14, dont worry its like a musical comedy like "rocky horror" and "little shop of horrors", then theres "howl" which features a made-up group doing songs including 2 by a certain group "who loves it loud" and "rock n roll all nite" then theyres "the final fright" where all of the ghouls bring dr. fright to life to rock the house. have fun kiddies! heh-heh-heh! read more
