Ordered a Frisco bacon avocado burger. When I received it, it had no bacon. They brought the same burger back with bacon. Only the meat was flat and rubbery. I kindly asked for my money back, even the waitress said she wouldn't eat it. But manager "or who ever was in charge refused to give me my money back. Asked to call the owner and their standard is not to give you a refund for a horrible dinner but a "shake" after a horrible attitude she called and they did refund in the amount of a $10 gift card in replacement for a $11 burger! SAL-TY. And so disappointing. Not like the original Frisco's years ago. Totally overpriced for what you get now.... I have loved Frisco's since I was a kid. Always loved their fries. It was one of the best burger joints to eat at, despite the long drive to their original location in Downey, 20 years ago. Even the location in City of industry was pretty good. Greek chicken salad is my mom and I's 'go to'. Which has still been decent at the Whittier location. .. But this review is about the order I received today (as well as the previous times I've been to the Whittier location, maybe 3-4 times in all (because food wasn't great)). Also, I hardly leave reviews, but I sit here right after ordering, to convey how BAD this meal was tonight, and how disappointed I am that Frisco's is, and I quote from my and family's comments.. "Not the same"!!!!!! First off, they changed to an 'a la carte' menu, as of recently, which jacks up the price because you have to pay for each item separately.. Turn off number 1. Secondly, Frisco's, LISTEN up.. the fries were so salty, tasted like old oil and LOADED with seasoning. I am usually not too picky about fries, I love fries.. So for me to be disgusted over fries is saying a lot. I was handpicking ones that I could possibly eat, not too many, let me tell ya. I finally gave up. Very disappointing because fries was the only thing I was personally gonna eat from this order. Fyi, the fry pictures attached look a lot better than they actually taste! My family felt the same. We had ordered 3 LARGE FRIES, so much food and money wasted on their inflated price of 3.99 for a large fry. When for +$3.84, we used to be able to make it a meal w/ fries and drink. Ridiculous. Finally, the outside crust on the sourdough bread is a problem. There is a THICK layer of salty parmesan crust that is almost inedible sometimes. I'll leave it with the positive. The onion rings were certainly better than the fries, the ranch was ok, and the actual chicken is good with a good char and flavor. Let me conclude with.. Frisco's, what is up with your Whittier location? The fries are terrible, and so many items salty as helll, you guys need to change back to your original recipe/cooking methods. I will not buy, and neither will my family, any food from this location, or any other location, if this is how the food is now, again, and will spread the word. So saddened Frisco's has gone downhill like this. If you guys decide to reevaluate and change your food back to how it has and should be, I'll reconsider, so contact me when that happens, or to offer a well deserved refund. I do NOT want your food, just my money back, smh. I saw this place on Instagram and thought it was a cute new spot to try out. When we walked in, we weren't greeted. It was slow but that's ok we didn't know what we wanted yet. When we were ready we walked up to the register and it took a while for someone to help us even though multiple workers passed us. (Granted they didn't try to make eye contact with us) once we were greeted to place our order, the girl was nice. Drinks: I got a watered down pink lemonade. My fiancé got a water down sprite and ended up changing it to a coke. Foods: chili cheese fries were good. I got the bacon & avocado burger. It was okay but it looks like they do sliced of avocado instead of mashed like some places. My fiancé got the patty melt and that it was on the salted side. The vibe here is so cute! They bring your food over in roller-skates and the place is over all a good photo moment. The burgers are classic but I'd definitely "make it a double" (double meat and cheese) next time. You can't go wrong with the Bacon Avocado Burger. The Chipotle Bacon Cheeseburger has a nice kick to it but isn't overwhelming with the spice. The portion of fries are generous and definitely shareable. Our friends and I went to lunch here yesterday afternoon and we enjoyed the food that we ordered. The portions are big and so are those freshly made chocolate chip cookies which are on display at the counter. The servers roll around in roller skates and the tables are shaped like cars. It was hard for me to choose what I wanted to order because everything looks so good. My coworkers and I visited this American diner last night. The 1950's decor is absolutely adorable with loads of black, white, and pink! The booth in the center of the restaurant is shaped like a giant vintage car, and the music brings you to a carefree joyous state of mind. The waitresses speed around like ninjas from the kitchen to the tables in roller skates wearing adorable costume-like outfits. There are also smaller corner rooms and outdoor seating, but the restaurant is somewhat small. For parties of 8 and more, you should call to make reservations. Having said that, I made reservations for Friday at 7:30 for 8 people, and it wasn't crowded at all. Parking is abundant. As far as the food goes, the quality is better than Denny's, but expect diner food. They have salads, burgers, and sandwiches. The fries were delicious, and my friend enjoyed her vanillas shake -- which was embellished with a cute candy cane straw. If you're on a diet, there aren't really a lot of super healthy options. Service is good, and our waitress checked on us regularly. Overall, I had a fun time and truly enjoyed the ambiance! We had not visited Frisco's for quite a while. We were craving their fried zucchini so off we went as they are open late. The first thing I noticed while at the drive thru ordering was the lack of efficiency the order taker had. I had to repeat things multiple times as the order taker before the items were understood clearly. Upon our arrival at the service window, it took about 10 minutes to acknowledge us and the usual perky cashiers we are used to were replaced by a tattooed woman with a deadpan delivery to confirm our order. The order took about 25 minutes, no one in line at all. When we pulled over and checked it, the grilled chicken we asked for as plain had cheese on it. Not good. But we left anyway. Upon eating the food at home the chicken was dry and burnt. And the zucchini was ok, but not like before. Overall the food was mediocre at best. I hope that this place improves and we might go one more time, but if the service and food is dismal again there are other less expensive places to go where customer service is top notch and burgers are better, right up the street. read more

It's ok. We ordered 2 Frisco burgers, kids hamburger and Frisco chicken. I thought the Frisco chicken was the best, not dry and flavorful. We also had parmesan zucchini, fries and onion rings. Being our first time we weren't sure about proportions because everything is al la carte. Ordering all 3 was too much fried food. My favorite was parmesan bread. They said that seating was limited but they never mentioned that food would take so long especially for your average burger.. Ordered a chipotle burger and the western cheese burger and some Curly fries and a milk shake. Curly fries were cold and came in about 30 Minutes after placing order. Burgers came 15 minutes after the fries. Milkshake came in an hour later only because i went to ask about it, otherwise would have taken longer. I could see if the burgers were big and flavorful but they are not. The metal seats are uncomfortable but they do offer booths in the shape of classic cars. I love the 50's theme with the servers wearing roller skates as they hand your meal to you. The sandwich was what I was looking forward to also. The sides are kind of okay here, I ordered curly fries and they just reminded me of Jack and the box. I came with a group of friends and some of them ordered the cruiser fries. It was not the best in my opinion. The cheese wasn't spread out evenly and also it wasn't very meaty. I ordered Frisco Hickory sandwich and I though the taste was off. The bread was a bit too hard from my end and it felt like I was eating meat and cheese with cardboard. The restaurant they have here is good on delivery but execution is very lack luster. My husband decided to treat me to lunch and boy; he scored when he asked me to meet him at Frisco's after I got off work. Not only is this place Covid safe, it's perfect with the sweet ambience of the 50's diner's of old. Please, PLEASE, come check this place out! We are so lucky to have this in our own neighborhood of Whittier. The food was surprisingly DELICIOUS! I have to admit that neither my husband or I were expecting something out of the ordinary like a fast food place, but to our surprise the sourdough cheese toast was perfect with our choice of burgers. Oh, and I absolutely die for fried zucchini and my husband for onion rings. So as I snuck off to go wash my hands, after I ordered my bacon avocado burger and fries with a pink lemonade, my husband took the liberty to order the fried zucchini sticks. Dang it! The fries the zucchini, and the onion rings were THE BOMBALICIOUS BEST! And let me just say, we both know our fries zucchini and onion rings. This place makes their own batter, which Garryn, the manager (I believe) informed us of and also their own ranch dip and thousand island, that we will definitely indulge in, next time.
