At the nearby McDonalds parking lot, I inadvertently ran over a foreign object and the front tire of my vehicle was punctured . I checked and saw the nearest tire repair place had good reviews. I drove to FRJ, they were busy with three vehicles being worked on in the three service bays. Flocko met me, examined the tire and called one of his mechanics over. They jacked the vehicle up, repaired the tire and then tested the repair for leaks. I was "good to go". I was very impressed that Flocko realized that I could not drive the vehicle very far with the damaged tire, and he immediately assigned someone to repair it. The price was reasonable. Since I moved to Houston 5years ago my brother turned me on to him& no matter who I call or wht situation I hve found myself in with ol bessy, ( thinking it's a better situation) I find my way right bck to FRJ - the best go to for my mechanic needs . just purchased a used car that I put 2 brand new tires on. They were running a $39.99 special for front wheel alignment so I called to confirm even inquired about an oil change the guy said he will do both. I got there and they didn't have the oil to do my oil change so fine no biggie. They said they would tell me if I need a back alignment. Again no biggie. My car was pulling to the right my main issue. The guy hector ask me do I want to proceed with getting the back done I said how much he said $75 I'm like okay whatever. Once he was done he told me my price and I paid. He handed me a receipt stapled to paper that showed my wheel alignment. I ask him why is the front wheel alignment still showing red if it was aligned? He said it needs a piece that he would have to order so he couldn't do it. I asked how much was the piece he said $30 but I'm going to have to order it because it's not in stock. I asked him if he couldn't perform the front wheel alignment why did he charge me for it. Why not wait to do the alignment when the piece came in and he just got quiet according to him I'm going to have to pay to do another alignment but they will work with me to give me a discount. Why would I need 2 alignments? Seriously thinking about filling a better business complaint and reporting to the state attorney. You don't take someone's money and not do the full service. Tell me what I need and what you need I would have just waited. My car is still pulling right with brand new tires. It's too many body shops. How hard is it to do good business and do the right thing. $75 is really going to cost you a customer who would have provided loyalty and recommendations. It's sad it really is. read more

We were having trouble with my husband's truck. Midas told him he needed a new engine and it would cost $9000. We had our car towed to FRJ. They listened to our concerns about the truck and agreed that it seemed to be the engine. They quoted us $3000 less than Midas and began looking for began looking for an engine. It was hard to find but they found one. We paid a 50% deposit. They decided they wanted to run more tests before they took the engine out. They called us so happy. They found the real problem, one that two other popular dealerships missed. We ended up paying around $1500. The truck runs better than ever. They fixed another car of ours too and it runs like new even though it is 15 years old. Each time, we were able to get our car back quickly. From now on, we trust them with everything related to our cars. They're fast, honest, accurate and really care about their customers. read more

Don't trust this place. Took a month to finish a job and whomever did it had stuffed a cd in our player and got it stick. Must have been a child's because it was children's songs and also found a little girls pink brush in the passenger side door pocket. I would not recommend this place to anyone. This could've just been a bad day for them based on the other reviews. I had no issue with the alignment service that I received. It was brought to my attention that my hubcap fell off during the servicing of my vehicle so I asked if I should get a new one for them to install and whoever it was on the phone said they would pop it back on for free since it was only one needing to be replaced. I went to auto zone and came back with the new hubcap and I was told by someone else that they would charge me $50 because it took time out of their day. What was really happening is that whoever told me this on the phone about the free installation did not communicate to this worker I was speaking to. Regardless, there is a way you handle things that a customer brings to your attention without making it seem like the customer is lying or trying to get over on you, so at that point I decided just to pay for my alignment and get someone else to put the hubcap on for free. This was definitely a missed opportunity to go above and beyond in service and this lowered my initial good impression with them. read more

I usually have great experience with these guys. One day I brought my car in because the alignment was off, one of the guys without even looking at anything said I needed a camber kit because my car was lowered and that doing the alignment would not even do anything until that was fixed. First off my car was not lowered it was at stock height with just bigger tires. I took my car to two different shops that actually looked at the car and said you dont need a camber kit that it was the lower control arm worn out and the trailing arm bushings needed to be replaced. Point of this post is that this guy told me to buy parts without even looking at the car and made an definitive statement that my car was lowered when it was not. Like most people with just a general understanding of cars I would of bought parts that I didnt need on someone who didnt even examine the vehicle. I like these guys theyve done great work in the past but will not be using them anymore read more
