There aren't many decent food options at Red Bluff to begin with -- the town is sadly mostly full of fast food and prison-style food, some of which served by people without masks. (Okay there are a couple of decent Mexican options, but that's it.) THIS restaurant is a blessing in the middle of all that. The staff was wearing masks and the premises were nice, modern, and clean. The food was okay. I do wish there were a couple more vegetarian bowl options -- I think mayonnaise really didn't go well with the Chi bowl at all (I think a miso ginger style dressing would have worked better), but otherwise it was good. The tropical smoothie is the BEST. If you're there, get that at least. read more

Stopped by on our way to Oregon. First of all the town of Red Bluff.. super cute! We took the French Dip, Cesar Salad and Ahi Bowl togo. The service was exceptional as fast. I really wanted to grab a cronut but I was trying to be good. I want to try their Peruvian sandwich next time and definitely a cronut! Yum! Has to be the healthiest place in Red Bluff to eat but not sacrificing any flavor at all. Vegan, Vegetarian, Meat Eaters, gluten free they accommodate everyone. I arrive hungry and leave happily full without feeling weighed down. Subbing out meat for there delish grilled tofu makes for happy Vegetarians and Vegans. This is a very unassuming place that has surprisingly delicious food at reasonable prices. We split a chicken teriyaki bowl and it was excellent: tasty, healthy, and reasonably priced. I never expected to have my mind blown in Red Bluff. We were on our way to Oregon and wanted to stop for breakfast. I looked for something that had over 3 stars and serves omelettes. Unfortunately, we missed the breakfast window by like 10 minutes. They have a pretty extensive lunch menu though so we stayed. What blew my mind was their cronuts! The food was okay. I had the ahi tuna bowl with quinoa. It was okay. I think it would've been great with some dressing and avocado. My husband had a burger and again, it was okay. BUT, but the cronuts mind blowing! I think it was THEE BEST cronut I've ever had. It had cream in it & maple on top. Oh my yes yes yes I highly recommend this place. They have the best dip sandwiches ever, and I don't even care too much for those things but the ones here are super yummy. They have zucchini bread im guessing only certain tiems of the year but let me tell you that bread is the absolute best most moist zucchini bread aside from my moms I have ever eaten. I'm sad to say this place is going down hill fast. Used to be one of my favorites but the last two times were bad. First time i had deliver and they forgot fries with our orders. This time, i ordered on line like i always do and then gave the a courtesy call to let them know that the previous week they forgot my fries and to please, not forget my fries. The little melenial on the phone said, "Oh...ok...we won't forget them". I said, "Umm...would you like to know who i am so you can make sure you won't forget"? The food this time was still good but the order was very messed up - OE eggs instead of OM, barely singed toast instead of well done and they didn't bring my hubby's eggs or bacon. Each thing should be well thought out and not slapped together before it goes out. I give up I'm not coming back. I started out loving this place when it first opened. I didn't go in often but when I did, the food was good and reasonably priced. Over the years I've become increasingly disappointed and just quit going all together. I actually spoke with the manager in Redding about a few issues as I didn't want to cast a negative light on a place that was trying, but fell short by posting here. My husband, 18 yo daughter and I went in today for a early breakfast. Only because it was my daughters birthday and she chose. We had 2 medium coffee's to go, an almond croissant ( the girl had no idea what it was) and 2 breakfasts of 2 eggs, hash browns, bacon and toast. All this for just $39.00! My croissant was warmed nicely and very tasty. My husband, who will eat just about anything said the toast tasted " old and dry." My daughter didn't eat hers for the same reason. The rest of the breakfast was " good." Portions are small for the price. What irritates me and at least one other customer this morning was the ever present big " tip jar" at the order window. A tip is not given when you order, nor is it required. It is something you earn for excellent customer service. The counter girl gave us our coffee's and rang us up. Her job! We collected all our needs such as silverware, napkins, ketchup, and coffee fixing. When we finished, I bussed the table, and wiped it down. What was I expected to leave a tip for? Another customer who was from Sacramento and passing thru, said the same thing. I assume he wasn't too fond of his breakfast as he left 75% of it on the plate and walked out, not bussing his table. There were at least 3 girls working up front and not a one was circling the wagons to see if everything was ok. I believe this a good place for coffee and a pastry, get some business done or visit with a friend. I don't think we will be back as a family as the prices are high when you order while standing in line, get all your " equipment " bus your table and wipe it down after. Not the best experience on Mon June 5. Some of the workers seemed not with it and not doing jobs. The server told us he would bring us napkins - both elderly and disabled-but never did. Used walker. We were on our way north and decided to stop at From the Hearth. I called ahead to place my order so we could pick it up and eat outdoors. I chose this restaurant because I'm gluten free. (This restaurant came up as the first result in Yelp when I searched for gluten free food in the area.) I don't know if the lady who answered the phone was having a bad day, but she seemed irritated when I asked her to confirm whether certain items were gluten free. Then she asked me my name, and I started to spell it for her to help her out. (I have an Indian name.) She snapped, "Just say it!" And when I said my name, she mispronounced it. When I reached the restaurant, I waited patiently behind two White women. When it was finally my turn, the White woman behind the counter ignored me and helped the White man behind me. (She said she didn't want his delivery order to get cold.) The White man apologized twice for her behavior in front of her. She didn't. I hope other customers haven't been treated this way. But this happened to me, and I thought others should be aware. I don't know if the cashier was the same person who answered the phone. But I don't plan on eating here again because of both interactions. read more

I had avocado toast and my husband had the lemon waffles with eggs. They both were great. We ate outside on picnic tables provided by the restaurant. Their coffee is very good and we had a 2nd cup. This business has OK food considering Red Bluff has horrible restaurants they don't let any good restaurants be open in this town they have the horrible food here but The Hearth opened up and their foods pretty good because I used to live in Redding and I would get their food all the time but out of the over 100 orders from them I've only had two orders that they didn't leave food off my order or ruin my family meal. And they do not care because if you read the reviews on DoorDash nothing but then forgetting orders they have terrible management who would even let an order go out the door continually missing food items read more
