I drafted this review in the summer of 2023 and left it as a draft until now. From 2023: I ate here twice while I was in the area and everything was really good. Solid customer service, too. Some of the things I liked: The tomato basil soup. The rye toast that came with the classic egg breakfast. I was told that they get a daily shipment of bread, and I believe they have their own central bakery. I also liked the breakfast potatoes (red potatoes that were seasoned and not greasy). What a nice place to find! Driving through the area and was in the mood for teriyaki. Found this place easily off I-5 with parking in front. Nice menu options, enough to satisfy many tastes. My wife and I opted for Teriyaki Bowls and lemonade with a couple of different flavorings added. They also have pies, which looked very inviting. But I was thoroughly satisfied with the main course so will leave that for next time. read more

Best place to get healthy food in Red Bluff. Also very good Baked Goods. When I am in town I eat there once or twice a day!

I travelled for work so I always look for places with good clean food. This is my fourth time eating at this establishment the place is clean, staff are friendly the food is delicious. Today I had the worst experience. I waited 30 minutes for a pot pie, the waiter walked past my table multiple times dropping off food to people who ordered after me. A while later he asked if I was different customer and walked away without my order. After a long wait the cashier stop by apologized for the wait and brought my order. I normally don't do reviews but I think management should be aware of this issue. read more

We loved this place on our COVID road trip in August 2020. The staff knew the menu and what modifications could be made and made recommendations for things that were especially big hits with other vegans. Lots of organic here, including teas. They sell local artisan food goods, which is amazing that they support local businesses, especially during these times. The food was amazing, you could tell a lot of care was put into its preparation and ingredients. We were only in town for one night on our road trip back home, but ate here twice, This will become a required stop on any trip north. read more

The place was clean and it had a nice menu, but we won't be going back there. Can't talk we ordered two hamburgers one order at french fry and two coffee drinks and our bill was $51, with no tip and you have to go up to the counter order your food so there's no waitress. And then when you're done eating, you have to bust your own table. So two hamburgers one order of french fries and two drinks is a bit much for $51. read more

Vegan review- to me nothing on the menu suggested they had vegan options. But thanks to the Yelp vegan reviewers I asked at the register and was told anything can be made with with no meat and extra veggies, or replace meat with avo or tofu. Girl on the register was super sweet! So I tried the teriyaki bowl with tofu. Man was it good! It was a whole flavor party in my mouth. The quantity was just enough for me. I was visiting the area just for the weekend so couldn't taste anything else but if I am back I am definitely stopping by. Highly recommend to check it out! Keep up the good work folks! read more

I would definitely recommend this place if you're traveling through or to Red Bluff. It's clean, well appointed and comfortable (although the chairs are little hard). The food is quite good. We had a California chicken sandwich and chi bowl. Both items were tasty and satisfying. They didn't have any beer on tap during my visit, so I settled for a root beer. read more

This was a nice spot to have breakfast. A nice artsy hip spot were everything is tasty and artisan. The pesto eggs Benedict was tasty and so was the chilaquiles. I recommend it. Food is great but they no longer have any vegetarian protein options. The black bean patty, while a good option, ruins the flavor of most burgers it goes in and isn't an acceptable substitute for Beyond or Impossible meat protein replacements. Service is amazing but the information I received in making sure my order is consistent with what I want didn't line up with the online ordering experience. Neither DoorDash or the From the Hearth app have any area for you to write in that you'd like any specific changes or options and the DoorDash app says this vendor specifically doesn't accept written requests for orders. read more

So this place was sort of an unexpected find. It was Sunday and not alot was open as we headed South on I-5. Were It not for some errant street corn, this would have been an easy 4 star spot. If I could have given 3.5 I would have but because of the excellent customer service, I rounded up to 4. The interior had a modern feel and was spotless. The setup is typical of fast casual chains and in fact it was like a local panera Bread in soem ways. BBQ Bacon Burger: It was a decent burger. The BBQ sauce was tasty and patty a decent size. The grilled onions were nice as well. Look I love bacon. Not sure I liked the bacon bits way it was presented but that is a personal choice. The bun was excellent as befitting a place that started as a bakery. The Cole Slaw: Cole slaw is kind of like a Margarita pizza Its hard to hide poor ingredients and you can tell alot about a place by their slaw. It was pretty good. While I have a preference for vinegar based slaws, this one almost tasted like a hybrid of the two. It was perfectly dressed and fresh. I almost put it on the burger. Street Corn: This was without a doubt an unmitigated disaster. First off it was ice cold. Not sure if that was the intent, but either way it was no bueno. The corn (which looked like the frozen grilled corn you get at Trader Joe's which I love BTW) was literally swimming in a cream sauce. It was like cold corn bisque. It was pretty gross. Corn aside I really like this place and If I am in the area we will add it to our spots to stop for sure. The rest of the menu looks promising. read more

This was an awesome find! We were passing through and needed breakfast so we found this spot for coffee and something to eat. It's a really nice spot, looks brand new, and the staff were really nice. I got a cappuccino and omelet And she got a fresh bowl. Both were excellent (though I did like the bowl better since it was more complex in flavors with goat cheese, beans, eggs, avocado, etc.) The omelet was very good as well, just more savory with the onions, bacon, and meat. It seems like a great spot, but there weren't many people in (maybe it was just early, and on a weekday). We wish we had something like this near us and we'd certainly come more often. read more

I visited this restaurant twice with different experiences both times... The first visit, there were many patrons dining in, walking around common areas without wearing masks, and people walking in and out without masks. I took my food to go and didn't stick around to see how well they cleaned the inside or outside seating areas after people used them.. I ordered the black and bleu salad. WOW... absolutely amazing. Their homemade blueberry pomegranate dressing was SO GOOD! Definitely a unique and delicious salad. On my second visit, there was nobody dining inside or outside (maybe because it was a colder day). People were wearing masks walking in and out. Either way, staff doesn't really enforce COVID rules to the patrons, but the staff are all wearing masks. I ordered a pastrami has. The chipotle aioli was WAY WAY too spicy to have for breakfast... Order the aioli on the side. Overall, good price and variety of food items with rotating baked goods. Not a lot of options for food while heading to/from Lassen National Park but so glad to have stumbled upon FTH. The Bloody IPA was so delicious!! The pastrami hash and alfresco hash were such generous portions and so tasty. The best part was their homemade Pumpkin Spice Latte, it wasn't yucky syrup- lots of yummy spices added into the drink! The staff was friendly and service was fast. FYI- they have indoor seating (limited) so if that is your jam, it's available! read more
