The owners are deserved of these spectacular reviews. I just moved to the neighborhood and was very welcomed by their kind customer service. Thumbs up to the white pizza that is made with ricotta cheese that isn't "watered" down by mixing it with milk. The grilled chicken wrap with roasted red peppers and balsamic was scrumptious. Freshly squeezed lemonade for the win. This truly feels like a neighborhood pizza spot with owners who pride themselves on being in the same spot for 30 years. Plenty of familiars were coming in and ordering their usuals. This establishment reminds me of a true Brooklyn pizza parlor with menu lined walls. Highly recommend! On my last visit a girl mentioned she was given 2 free pies late at night when she first moved in years ago-she never forgot the owners generosity. I was a bit disappointed based on the hype from the reviews. This is fine for the simple pizzas like plain and pepperoni but nothing special. If you order any special pizzas good luck to get it since it gets super crowded and disorganized where most of the staff will forget your order or don't know how to make it. I had to wait over 20 minutes for just 1 slice and it was not worth the wait for what I got. The owner tried to make it up with a free italian ice so being nice not giving it 1 star but giving me the slice for free would've been better compensation. Loved it. Pizza was very good and the crust crispy and at the right thickness. Not thin and not thick. Toppings were plentiful and tasty. Had pepperoni, cheese and meat lovers, which was loaded with meats. The slice was large and filling. Needed some pizza after a long and hot walk over the Brooklyn bridge. Walked by the other more popular joints .. Grimaldi and Juliana's and the lines were just too long to deal with while standing outside in the sun. Happily we walked over to Front Street Pizza where some local police officers recommended.. we got right in and found a spot at a bar with high chairs. Had our pizza which was pretty good within a couple minutes. The service was solid and so were the slices. The only reason I gave this 4/5 stars is because they could definitely do a better job cleaning up after guests leave. It wasn't gross but there were straw wrappers and napkins pretty much everywhere. Maybe it was just a busy Sunday afternoon but they could put a little more effort into cleaning the place up every now and then. Otherwise it was a great stop and No lines ! read more

This used to be my go-to spot when I first moved into this neighborhood. This was almost a decade ago. As downtown Brooklyn developed, this place went backwards. I kept giving this place the benefit of the doubt but over time, nothing was improving. The quality of the food went down and so did the delivery time. The chicken rolls used to come with marinara sauce and it used to taste so darn good. But now, the chicken roll decreased in size, comes burnt, and you have to pay extra for marinara sauce. The garlic knots are a 50/50 chance of being good or burnt. I wish I could list every problem I had but you'd end up reading a novel. I recently ordered pizza from this place to see if they have improved. In the picture, it looks like my food was mistreated. I don't know if the delivery man got into a head on collision with a taxi driver on the way here, but I didn't pay a delivery fee plus a tip for a limp pizza that looks like it's in need of viagra. Not only that, but it tasted like it was dipped in their toilet water too because of how soggy and lifeless it was. Might as well spit in my food next time. I ordered a Hawaiian slice and a can of Pepsi which is usually $7.02 cash and more with a CC. This cashier said my bill is $8.15. I said why is it so much? She said the Hawaiian slices cost more. I said since when? Today? This is normally $7 cash. She checked her menu prices and said oh yes it's $7.02. Do you have 2 cents? I said no I have a penny, instead she gave me 98 cents in change- wouldn't give me the dollar. You get what you pay for! Decided to give this place a try because I was craving pizza but I didn't want to overpay for a slice neither. When in New York... Cool place and easy to find. Right by the Brooklyn Bridge Park as well as other shops, markets and cafes. Once inside there's no clear demarcation as to where to place your order. The only thing that was correctly labeled and functional may have been where you enter/exit and where to pay. Wide selection on the menu other than just pizza. Affordably priced for New York and it was relatively good. No wow factor in my opinion. Customer service was great as they were conversational and attended to requests in a rapid manner. Tip: Not very clean or tidy. Food left on tables, leaking ceilings, and the women's bathroom well just don't touch anything with your bare hands. If you're a germaphobe pass this one by. read more

READ THIS: Your health may depend on it. I live in the area and used to stop by Front Street Pizza regularly. That was pre-Covid. I always found their food was tasty, portions were sizable, and price was reasonable (considering it's in DUMBO). I got the urge for a Chicken Parmigiana platter so I dropped by late in the afternoon. The first thing one notices upon entry are the signs prominently displayed requesting customers provide proof of vaccination for indoor dining. During my 20-minute wait for my food I noticed at least 5 groups of customers who ordered food (pizza, salad, heros, etc), bring it back to a table for consumption and NONE of them were asked for proof of vaccination. I repeat: NONE of them. If that weren't bad enough, I observed 7 staff members. Two in the kitchen, 2 managers behind the counter, and 3 food workers behind the counter. ONLY ONE was masked - the one they derisively referred to as "Shorty". One elderly gentleman was busy behind the counter making pizzas. Unmasked, and without gloves, he was hunched over the pizza with his face literally just inches from the pies. And touching the toppings - cheese, mushrooms, meatballs, etc. - with his bare hands. Yich! The Delta Virus and its variants are deadly. There is a worldwide pandemic. This establishment is in violation of the Governor's mandate requiring customers eating indoors to provide proof of vaccination. In addition, is there anything more disgusting and unappetizing to see unmasked and ungloved kitchen workers preparing and breathing all over your food - Pandemic or Not. I hope someone from the Department of Health reads this review. read more

My son and I have been coming here for probably a decade. There a much more famous (tourist) places in the area, but this is the best place to get an authentic NY slice. Crust is not super thick but not soggy, toppings are fresh (I always get the vegetarian), never greasy. Staying in Lower Manhattan, I decided to spend a day in Brooklyn. I walked across the Brooklyn Bridge straight to DUMBO. The walk probably took me about 30-40 minutes. As written in the title, this shop is located right on the corner of Front Street. It was either here or Grimaldi's and honestly, I just wanted a cheap meal knowing that others would be expensive. Upon entering the shop, there is a large glass window honoring those fallen on 9/11. When you walk past the window, there is a glass display of several pizzas and deli meats. The deli is further towards the back. I ordered two slices of pepperoni pizza which were huge and more than enough with a can of Pepsi; it all came to $9.75. The pizza was really good, just super greasy. This is cheap for NYC so I can't complain too much. read more

Truly horrific pizza. Every time I get a slice there, the pizza is so poorly made that I can't even hold it up and eat it. It requires a knife and fork. The crust is also very cardboard-y. Their pizza is way too expensive to for that kind of quality. The dollar slice places in lower Manhattan are generally much better. The rest of the food there tends to be flavorless. I've eaten there maybe 15 times because I work in the area. The pasta is okay, but anything with meat is awful. My girlfriend got a meatball sub one time and she couldn't finish it. I tried it and is was shockingly awful; one bite was enough. I've never had a meatball that tasted so old and flavorless. Frozen supermarket meatballs are worlds better. The stromboli also has almost no flavor despite having cheese and meat. read more
