Best Gelato outside of Italy! The team working on a Saturday night were very friendly and let us choose a ton of flavors. While the Tangelo was fresh and had real fruit in it, I chose the AlpenCaramel and Amaretto. There is a ton of flavor and the gelato is a great consistency. I am going to have to give this place only 3 stars. We sampled several flavors (bubblegum, strawberry champagne, blackberry...) and we finally got blackberry and just a chocolate Gelato (we being my daughter and myself). My daughter got sprinkles on hers. Positive: I love the space... it is bright and very bold, the service was good (when they were paying attention), they let you try as many flavors as you would like to, the Gelato is pretty healthy compared to ice cream, the chocolate is FAB, and I also tried one of their peanut butter bon bons which I could have eaten 12 of! Negative: the staff as friendly as they were when talking with you were kind of rude in the aspect that they would talk to each other before helping a customer (and there were 4 staff members), the blackberry did not taste good once you had more than a sample... it tasted a lot like black licorice with seeds, the price is not what I expected for the small container that you get, the sprinkles were GROSS I had to waste part of the Gelato to get them off (in my opinion they tasted like foam, or what I think foam would taste like) Would I come here again?? The heat in Tucson gets to be sweltering and just literaly drains you of any ounce of energy you have in you. One sure fire way to stave off the firey desert heat(momentarily anyway) is some ice cold gelato from Frost. This place is all the way off the chain!!! You can sample any flavor you like. They have dozens of flavors. You can try as many as you like. I haven't tried one I didn't like and believe you me I tried just about all of them. My favorite is the pistachio but the tiramisu, caramel machiatto, and strawberries & champagne are also deliciously decadent flavors. It can get cold in Tucson too but whether it's hotter than a snakes ass in a wagon rot or colder than a witches titty, you can't go wrong with a scoop or two of any of Frost's decadent flavors any time!!! read more

This is as good as it gets untill I can go to Italy and try the real stuff. I mean they have all the good flavors and they use real fruit and they have NON DAIRY Gelato too that I can eat and I swear it makes me feel special. Bananna is sooooo good but the Mango is fabulous!!!! I stopped eating dairy several years ago and so this place is like a dream come true. It is pricy but worth it. Service is ok but fast. My fiancé and I frequently go to Frost (in many different locations, but this one the most recent). We loveeeeee it. We've made it a goal to order each of the flavors once. Anyhoo, the staff is friendly and always greets you, whether they see you outside or you're walking inside or you're at the counter. I really like the fact that they bring out cups of water and offer it to their customers... They obviously know EVERYONE gets thirsty while enjoying some gelato! My wife and I came here for dessert on a busy Friday night. Frost has a really big selection of Gelato flavors - maybe 20 or so - and an assortment of sorbets. My wife settled on pistachio and amaretto. Both were really good, but I think the pistachio was a bit better. While the flavors of gelato were quite good, I have to agree with Brenner T.'s review that says that Allegro is a better quality product than Frost. If you compare the gelato here to the same flavor at Allegro, it will lose. But Frost's strength is the variety - many more flavors than Allegro. And the gelato here is still quite good - a solid 4 stars. But I wouldn't take an Italian here looking for authentic stracciatella gelato. Frost also benefits from its location - next door to two very popular restaurants - Sauce Pizza and Wine, and Wildflower. It's a great spot for some light dessert after a meal. read more

They spoke about their passion and inspiration for this place and it really shows when you visit an establishment! The desserts are so much better for you than places like Coldstone and taste far better too. I wish there was one closer to campus but it's worth the drive so I don't mind doing it. Is it expensive-ish? Yeah, a little. Do you need a pint? No, a little goes a long way. Is it worth it? YES! I get half dark chocolate and half peanut butter and it is delicious! The flavors are so rich and worth every penny you pay for them. This is a healthier replacement for ice cream that in my opinion is better than Ben & Jerry's or Cold Stone. The service is always great even when they are packed (which is often). Give it a try, and they will let you sample until you find the one you like! read more

Delicious! They make an amazing salted caramel flavor as well as hazelnut. My favorite thing to get is a hazelnut affogato - hazelnut gelato with espresso. Mmmm. While their service isn't always great, it's fast paced and the wait isn't very long. read more

Really pretty amazing stuff! Beautiful small shop in the Italian style with many choices. Beautifully displayed, decorated pans but not over the top. Colors and flavors fresh and sharp, clearly made by someone who knows what they're doing. Very good customer service in this neat and clean establishment. Incredible dark chocolate gelato! Accompanying in espresso gelato. Melts in your mouth. Because we came here to out of the last three days they actually gave me a big piece of dark chocolate with the chocolate. We also had a number of bites. We were so blown away by the modern look of the place, the friendliness of the staff and most of all the amazing gelato! This gelato shop was started by college students trying to make some extra cash and now it has grown into a chain with shops around the US! The staff is ultra friendly. This place is really good! The variety and options are plentiful. Their flavors are made with natural ingredients. I had the Nutella gelato and omg!!!! Bomb.com! if you are like me, you NEVER drive up to BFE, aka NW tucson. however, i made the trip to hang out with a couple girlfriends and wasn't disappointed. i've had gelato in germany & phx...never tucson. now i have and i must say that i'm pleased. there were lots of choices, although only two "diatetic" (aka sugar free). what is diatetic you ask...i'm assuming it's supposed to be diabetic...this was a point of contention for me. i'm in nursing school and have never heard of "diatetic"...someone plz enlighten me! but these fuckin idiots make really good gelato. i got the diatetic (grr) chocolate...tasty goodness. didn't even taste sugar free. i LOVE that. one of my homies got the strawberry yogurt and it was AWESOME! i wish i wasn't such a fatty...i would have gotten that. it's like yoplait, except creamier and sweeter. like i said...if you ever drive up north in tucson, stop here. read more
