Just tried and finished eating their matcha flavored frost and I super love it! I put some mochi on top and also at the bottom and the taste was so good! I'm sure gonna be back for more! I've returned multiple times to yogurt mamas because of the service I have received. Each time I happen to go in I have the same cashier. And by now, I know her name. Hope is always extremely friendly and kind and knows how to do her job well. I came across a review on here about her that I find extremely false. The review was also written from a lady that goes around writing negative reviews and complaining about everyone and everything, yet still giving them high star ratings. Which doesn't make sense. I went to Yogurt Mama three times last week. The first visit was great, I got a taro boba freeze which was delicious! The second time I went, I got the taro milk tea with boba, which was DISGUSTING. The girl who made it didn't even bother to mix all of the powder, which is bad because supposedly their teas are made with real tea... It was also lukewarm (supposed to be iced) and really had no flavor. Bleh. I decided to go back a third time to get another taro boba freeze, and it was just as good as the first. So my advice to you is to stick with the boba freezes and avoid the regular milk teas! read more

Yummy self serve and a bunch of choices! My bowl definitely reflected my indecisive personality. After sampling several flavors, I ended up with some Kailua cheesecake, cake batter, Passion Orange Guava, and chocolate. For toppings, pineapple, pineapple Mochi, strawberry popping balls (so fun and Delish!), cheesecake bites, mini reese's, and granola (to make it healthy). Loved it! read more

I honestly believe this is one of the best froyo places on the island! They stay open late which is nice for when you're craving something a little sweet after dinner :) Most of their flavors are non fat and the fruits and toppings are always fresh! Good, simple & clean. Sometimes there's a line because only one person is manning the counter (it's self serve like a salad bar), but the kids liked it. I didn't know you could get plain yogurt. We didn't find it too expensive because this was a treat and we got sensible treat size portions. read more

The toppings and yogurt are amazing, but only the tarts. Everything else is okay. The amazing flavors are Pineapple, Plain Tart, and Blueberry! I would have rated it 5 but today the girl at the cashier looked like she didn't even want to be there. It took her like 5 minutes just to weigh my fro-yo. And her expression was not to great. Went back for one more try at Yogurt Mama. The shop is still dirty. The floors need a good waxing and the bathroom door needs a paint job. Most of all they need to stay on top of cleaning the windows of the store. Who would want to feel good about eating at a place like that. read more

Frost Kailua advertises Organic Yogurt next to all their frozen yogurt flavors. Only to find out only one of the many ingredients is organic in the frozen yogurt. Filler ingredients 1st on list is high fructose corn syrup along with all kinds of unhealthy conventional ingredients. If you are health conscious and avoiding neurotoxins & carcinogen residues in conventional foods I would not recommend this place. Sure wish I knew prior to sampling & ordering 2 cups that cost $20 total. The Tart and Passion fruit yogurt was way too sweet too. Gave it 3 stars as service people helpful and friendly. If you've been to one make your own yogurt bowl shop you've been to them all. What sets yogurt mama apart from the others is the spacious seating area that most yogurt places lack. There's a lot of room so you don't feel cramped. Like the rest they've got funky seats. This visit i tried their blueberry pomegranate tart and the acai blackberry. It's good but my statement at the beginning still stands. Aside from the spacious eating area, this place also has a lot of toppings to choose from. I definitely recommend this place to people who prefer more toppings than yogurt in their bowls. read more

I love place! It's kid friendly, they offer more than just frozen yogurt and they have yummy flavors. My favorite is the dole whip. I don't think any other frozen yogurt place has this flavor. I'm crazy about this flavor and get it all the time. What makes it even better is I don't need to drive all the way on the other side of the island to get it. Lots of toppings which I barely use but it's there if you want to go nuts on your froyo. I love the mochi so I pack spoonfuls of those babies on top and I'm set. They have televisions there so you can watch some cartoons with your kids or some news. I give this place a thumbs up :) read more

You know who makes the best yogurt? Yo mamma! This place is just the best, all sorts of toppings from coconut milk to fresh fruit and all the nuts you can imagine plus some really awesome local favorites. The yogurt was delicious and creamy and there were many flavors to choose from including acai berry which was very tart and nice. I went with 4 kids and my husband to this store to celebrate my daughter's 10th bday per her request. We were the only ones in the store. First of all the worker was not friendly or welcoming the minute we stepped foot in the store. I had to tell her it was our first time so she could explain how the process worked. She said to put on gloves for whoever would be touching the soft serve machines which I was fine with and happy they were taking extra precautions. Due to Covid, she had to help us with the various toppings. Of course kids are a little indecisive and overwhelmed when choosing their toppings so she probably had to go back to the Oreo cookie crumbs 4x for each kid but what's the big deal! She was very irritated and rude with us. When I was paying for the bill there was the screen to add tip. Due to her rudeness, I selected "no tip" and I told her how rude she was and that I would never return. She was silent. My husband kindly asked if we could sit inside and she rudely replied "no, that's why you see chairs outside to use". After we finished our soft serve I asked my oldest daughter how she liked the ice cream and she said she wanted to get more toppings but she could tell that the lady was irritated with us so she felt bad for asking for more. I don't understand why she would be irritated with us since the store makes money based on weight. The more toppings means more money. According to our receipt, her name was Jill. I rather take them to Baskin Robins to celebrate and it would be a lot cheaper. Our bill was about $35 for 5 ice creams/toppings. Trying to support local but sad that there's unhappy, rude workers who make the experience unpleasant. read more

Went to Yogurt Mama a couple times during my visits to Hawaii and it was delicious! I have been to many self serve yogurt places and Yogurt Mama is definitely one of my favorites. Great yogurt place in Kailua Town. This is a typical yogurt place where you choose your yougurt, toppings, and pay by the oz. One big exception....they have DOLE WHIP! I tried that Honey Milk tea with chunks of custard in it. The drink was amazing! The owner is super friendly and they individually design each and every one of their cups! Love this place.. especially since it's so close to my house. I always get the yogurt tart everywhere I go and theirs is usually pretty good. Sometimes the yogurt is watery but they do see alot of traffic so I'm sure the yogurt doesn't have enough time to harden inbetween yogurt pulls. My FAVORITE thing they have here are these lychee popping bubbles (which are currently discontinued until they can get more from the manufacturer next spring). They're so tasty! It's like a bubble of juice that pops in your mouth when you bite it. Love it! The berry flavors that they have are pretty good since they don't taste like medicine like other places. Definitely stop by here if you want a yogurt fix and you don't want to drive all the way to town. read more

Lots of yummy toppings compared to Menchies, Yogurtland and Orange Grove. It is always a plus when there is walnuts as that is one of my favorite toppings. They also have many flavors of mochi balls. The only con was that they don't have as many yogurt flavors especially tart ones especially my favorite flavor lychee. read more

We've been here 2x, both times after kayaking in Kailua--since we live in town, we don't frequent this place. Nothing like fro-yo after a day in the water! Selections were great--Acai and Red Velvet I've never had before and both were really good! I love how they have sample cups readily available to take as you like--you have to ask for them at Yogurtland. Fro-yo creamy, not watery like it can be sometimes at other places, plenty of toppings (mini PB cups are my fav!), clean eating area. It has its own parking lot, but can be difficult to access since it's off the main street. Clean bathroom--another plus since the Beach Park bathrooms can be iffy. I eat samples of yogurt, and then I am done. I liked the atmosphere and decorations at this yogurt place. I heard they get a lot of their decorations from Ikea. My daughter bought a really cute shirt from this place for only $12. They gave us some of their "gift cards" for free, cuz I like to collect cute cards. I don't recall what their yogurt taste like...
