Pretty fine sums up the entire experience. I've gone to the Miracle on 9th Street, and probably wouldn't come back to this location for a number of reasons: the price, the service and the food. The drinks, I will say, are all really excellent and unique. Albeit, everything north of $16 for a cocktail, but they're festive and really tasty. The egg nog is definitely worth the sticker price and these mixologists really curate the menu. The decor is very festive, but I found it entirely too odd that there wasn't more Christmas music. I would think a place that is a super busy holiday pop up would have everything themed, but my group and I were there for about 1.5 hours and first half hour and every now and again non-Christmas music was played. Our server couldn't have been colder if they were a snowman. Left us alone most of the evening, didn't give great recommendations, and brought 0 holiday cheer to a place that looks like Macy's windows. It definitely is a hard job and I'm sure a number of very drunk tourists come in, but there 0 cheer coming from the wait staff. The food was the most disappointing feature. My group and I tried to find an updated menu, and there really isn't much online but we did find an older menu that looked great. We get there, and nothing looked appetizing and the "chicken fingers," felt barely a step above freezer section tyson nuggets. It is festive and fun, and I will certainly go to another of these pop ups because the drinks are great, but I wouldn't want to spend any money on food here and next time I think 1 $20 cocktail will be fine. read more

Went here during the holidays and had a great time. Reservations were required but managed to snag an empty table before the late night crowds. Hostess and waitresses were friendly and attentive. The drinks were Christmas themed and tasty. The ambience was full of holiday cheer with Christmas music playing. The general atmosphere was great. Would come again next year! read more

I had such a great time here with my bestie last night! I have been dying to come here for years and was thrilled to finally get to try it out. We couldn't get a reservation, so we sat at the bar which is first come first serve. As soon as you walk in, you are filled with Christmas spirit. Every inch of the bar is covered in decorations! I loved all the vintage ones. It was the most festive bar I've ever been in! We each got two drinks and took sips of the other. I loved the fun cups the drinks come in! You can even purchase them if you want. I got the Christmas Carol Barrel and Christmaspolitan. Both were amazing! I loved the spiced cranberry in the cosmo and the Christmas Carol barrel had an incredible coffee flavor. I would recommend both! We also did a naughty/nice shot, which was great! 3.5 The only person I found to be warmly welcoming was the host. Come here for the holiday festivities and great flavored drinks. I placed an order for the duck egg roll, which was really good. I received complementary fries from the chef which had gravy, cheese, and green onions, surprisingly pretty tasty. My favorite drink was the SantaRex, I had two! Go figure. Another drink on the table was the snowball old fashioned, which was great as well. I wish the staff was more welcoming and have preppier spirits then I might recommend this spot. Okay Christmas season, I see you! Even in the time of a pandemic you've sparked some joy in my weekend. Loves: + The holiday decor is on point + Friendly staff + Socially distanced inside (I went weeks ago) + Good drinks in festive cups (what up, T-rex?) The only downside is cocktails are like $16 each which I would find reasonable other times I'm sure but in the pandemic when I'm not going out as much, there's a part of me that's like "Really?! After seeing the line out the door for Miracle on 9th Street, I couldn't be more excited for Miracle on 12th Street - its second location! Same concept but bigger space :) If you've never been, you're in for a treat. Think Christmas card menus, Santa's elves as bartenders, Christmas gifts hanging on the walls, Hanukkah decorations, and of course, holiday music on blast. The cocktails are all cleverly named after a Christmas pun. My favorite was the Gin-ger all the whey with Chrismaspolitan as a close second. My friends also enjoyed the old fashioned and the fa-la-la drink. Everything was so tasty and filled with holiday cheer. If you're feeling down this holiday season, give this place a visit. There is no other bar in NYC that can bring me more joy and happiness. Can't wait to be back EVERY December. read more

I mean ... as exciting as a holiday pop up could be in the time of covid... decorations on point. Staff were dressed for the occasion and super friendly. We only had time for 1 drink because of that covid rule... restaurants and bars must close at 10pm (but sure go ice skating at a crowded Rockefeller center until wee hours of the night, I personally witnessed this at 11pm, but that's a whole other story). Stopped in here on Sunday for the Christmas bar. My friends and I wanted to come so bad last year, but it was always booked out. We were able to make reservations on resy this year so we were pretty pumped. Our waitress was actually really mean and sassy but noticed she was really friendly with other tables. Honestly not sure what we did? We ordered our drinks and our food. Oh well. I guess make sure to be on your best behavior or else they will be mean to you? The cocktails were pretty pricey -$16 each. But I guess you pay for the experience. The inside was decked out in Christmas theme. We ordered the Jingle Bells Nog and the SanTaRex. The eggnog was SO tiny. It was a little espresso cup of a serving. A bit disappointed with that. So wouldn't suggest that. We also ordered food. We got the duck confit egg roll, the poutine and the turkey turnover. Booked a table for a group of 9 people at Miracle on 12th (larger, sister venue for Miracle on 9th and takes reservations). It's a Christmas / holiday pop up, so the drinks are a little overpriced for the quality but you are paying for the experience. All of the cocktails are served in themed glasses / mugs, and the decor and music make it really fun. It's definitely worth it for a couple of hours to get you in the festive spirit. read more

For wanting to visit Miracle for a very very long time, I couldn't have been more disappointed in my entire life. I will give it a 5/5 for the decorations, like it legit felt like I was in a Christmas movie. The cups/mugs were really cute too. However, the drinks overpower the decorations in my opinion, especially with this being a Christmas themed BAR. I don't even remember which drinks I ordered to be honest, not that I ever want to remember them again. I ordered a hot drink, and my fiance ordered a cold drink. First off, I was SUPER disappointed that they didn't have boozy hot chocolate! That literally dampened my mood altogether, especially since that is a staple non alcoholic drink and then you add some booze to it, and it becomes a typical Christmas bar type drink. So, that's -1 point right there. Next, my hot drink was literally SO disgusting. I forced myself to drink it while closing my nose. You know when kids don't want to drink cough syrup, or when adult has to take a shot of an alcohol they don't like? Yeah, that in cocktail form. I had family come visit from upstate ny and for the past 3 years, this has been our tradition, but our first time at 12 Street. The waitress told us the wait time was 1 hour but that someone will text when the table is ready! We randomly checked in after 2 hours and was told we were next. A table of 6 was unoccupied and I asked the lady if we could seat there a table of 4 along with another party of 2 and the response was no. I decided to leave because we were going into 3 hours! When in New York City, indulge! At least that's what I did. I'm a huge fan of all things Christmas so when I found out that this pop Up shop was up and running I knew I had to come. Keep in mind that there are several locations (miracle on 9th and one in Brooklyn) but I was told that this location is better for groups. I was with my colleagues and we all decided to check it out. I was surprised at how easily we were able to get a table. The hostess was a little weird; he first told us that we would have to wait 2 hours for a table but at the end of our encounter he walked my party of 4 to an open table (he wasn't the most pleasant person; I guess it can be overwhelming). We all ordered drinks and it came in these cute Christmas mugs. The drinks are a bit pricy; I got an egg nog and it came in a teacup ( see pic below). SUPER BAD. SKIP! The other one on 9th is at least honest and straight forward! Wait for 2 hours, The front lady was horrible, impolite and just play bad. First, they had a reservation that showed up 35 minutes late... Still waited for them. They they tell us we are next for a table for 4... Another hour and we noticed a table for "6" empty... WTF... You cannot split a table for 6 into 2 tables(they where individual tables!) Then the front lady is a freaking b@$@ and does mot even care. Everyone left in the line because of that! read more

Great atmosphere, however we were there for 3 hours and bought several rounds of drinks and paid for each round as they came. When it came time to leave, they gave us a bill with all charges which we had already paid for. I literally showed this man my credit card statements on my app to prove I had already paid for it and he claimed none of his bartenders remembered serving us - took 30 minutes and a lot of glares to resolve. Have no complaints about the restaurant, ambiance, food or drink... but the SERVICE was unbelievable. I've never experienced anything worse. We were seated 15 minutes late with no updates or acknowledgment from the hostess. We had one waiter to start and he came to our table once over the course of an hour to take our food and drink order. When our food arrived he didn't check in at all and ask how we were doing or if we needed drinks. Then we assume his shift was over, as we never heard or saw him again. We had to flag a bus boy down to get someone else to attend to our table. That new waitress took our drink order once, she got the order wrong and didn't apologize and acted like it was our fault, came back over with the correct drink order and we didn't see her for another 45 minutes and also did not check on us once. Before we knew it, it was 9:55 and we needed to be out by 10pm per NYC guidelines. We still didn't have the check. The hostess came out of nowhere and yelled at us saying we needed to get out and we were disobeying the law. WE STILL DIDNT HAVE THE CHECK! Was ready to leave without paying. Finally paid the check and left and no one thanked us or apologized for how we were treated by the staff. This place needs to figure it out. read more

Two stars because the egg nog was OK, but still $16 for a small ass cup and another $16 for a cocktail that was somehow Die Hard inspired and supposed to have some "sweet potato" component to it, but it was just expensive jungle juice in a Santa cup. read more
