I left Florida for 8 years & just recently moved back. Being a big lover of Asian cuisine, especially traditional American Chinese cuisine, I spent the last few months searching for a great Chinese food take-out restaurant, but experienced disappointment after disappointment. Before I moved away from Florida I had ordered from Fu Wing for many years. I loved it because they always stayed true to their niche-authentic American style Chinese food- not the "fusion" style menu's many other Asian restaurants have switched over to that serve everything but traditional Chinese food. Not that there's anything wrong with Asian fusion, but, as the saying goes, "you cant teach an old dog new tricks". Then, the other day I came across a familiar name- Fu-Wing. Of course! How could I forget them?! I guess I just didn't think they were still there anymore or serving my area. So I was elated to find out they would deliver to me! Fu-wing did not disappoint- the food arrived faster than I expected & was piping hot! First, I paused to take in the amazing aroma then just dug into my order: House Special Lo mein, egg roll & vegetable soup. DELICIOUS! Not only is the food fresh, they dont skimp on the amount of food they give. There was plenty of shrimp chicken, pork, vegetables & rice. The vegetable soup was fresh & perfectly cooked. Little things matter: I didn't think I'd even get a pkg of hard noodles because I forgot to ask for it & as you know, most places give you noodle packets only if you ask & pay for it, but Fu-wing did not forget the hard noodles, nor did they forget the assortment of condiment packets either. I dont know about you, but those little touches matter to me because that means the staff cares about customer service & their ratings. What else can I say? Im a big fan of Fu-Wing & very happy to know they are still in the same spot & thriving. * I would also like to give a special thanks to the owners of Fu-Wing for keeping their prices very reasonable during these hard times. A friend recommended this place, so I decided to give it a try. My first order was through Uber Eats around 9 PM on a Friday night. The food arrived hot, tasted good, and I had no complaints at the time. However, my family and I were having a movie night and eating in a dark room, so I didn't get a very close look at the food. About a week later, I called in an order for pickup. After getting home and making it about halfway through my meal, I found a hair in my food. Needless to say, I was pretty grossed out. I called the restaurant and was told they could remake the dish, but that was the extent of their response. Three weeks later, since the restaurant was conveniently on my way home, I decided to give them another chance. Unfortunately, history repeated itself--I found another hair in my food. I called again and received the same offer to remake the order. Finding a hair in your food once is unfortunate. Finding one twice on separate visits is unacceptable. After giving this place multiple chances, I won't be returning. I'd also like to mention that on both pickup visits, the woman working the front counter was far from welcoming. She came across as disinterested, unfriendly, and as though she didn't want to be there. Customer service matters, and combined with the repeated food quality issues, it left a very negative impression. read more

It's very unfortunate to finally find a Chinese restaurant that tastes really good but can I complete the order correctly ...when ordering online the last three times my order has arrived, incomplete. The first time I called just to let them know that ordered chicken chow mein and I didn't have any crispy noodles.(and if you eat chicken chow mein, you know you need crispy noodles ) . I called after the first time and I told him what was wrong but I said it was OK. Just be careful next time .. The next time same thing I called and I was annoyed. He told me come in. I'll give you free noodles. I said I don't come in person. I order online. he said call next time and make sure they put the noodles in. I said OK ...???!!!!OK it's been a couple of months. I just ordered online. I think it went through Uber eats I still called the restaurant told him my name what I ordered and please don't forget the crispy noodles. OK I'll make sure it comes. I open the bag crispy noodles in there but my egg roll and not one sauce no soy sauce mustard sweet sauce nothing I call and the woman argues with me that she put it in the bag. I said I got the bag. It was stapled closed. There's nothing in here but a plastic fork and she continue to argue with me. She goes you come up. I give you an egg roll. Ordered food on uber eats from FuWing and it was spectacular. Great Chinese food and it was cooked in a clean kitchen.

Small take out place that has enough room to have at least 2 tables to sit and eat. They don't seem to want customers to eat in, which is a shame because I'm really not a fan of eating messy food in my car. I did however order the butterfly shrimp wrapped in bacon for lunch. It is a decent potion. Eight large shrimp stacked on top of a good amount of mixed veggies and covered with a tasty brown sauce. Also a small white rice is included. The price was reasonable considering the large portion of shrimp. If you're gonna take the food home then I say it's a pretty good option for quick Chinese food. read more

If I could give a 1 star I would , the young girl working the front who answers the phone and takes order has to be the most miserable person I've ever meet . How do you work a customer service job but are extremely rude to ppl , if you hate the job that much get a different job , if you ask her any questions about the menu she gets so mad at you and is so nasty and rude with her answers . I went to pick up my Togo order and before I finish signing the credit card slip she snatched it out from under me writhing on it . I've never in my life experienced customer service like that , I hate that I even spent my money at that place . Food was not that good either, I suggest to go somewhere else , not worth it . We have been getting take out deliveries from FuWing for the 8 years we have lived here. Tonight I was told that I would be charged $9.95 delivery fee! That is outrageous, especially since delivery has ALWAYS been free! There was NO delivery charges 3 weeks ago when we ordered. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE THEY JUST WANT TO RIP YOU OFF!!! This place actually deserves its one star... sadly i didn't look at the reviews prior as I was driving by... its a dive, not clean and at the counter Mark is completely "out to lunch. ". Placed and order for chicken and broccoli and got beef and broccoli even after I asked him if he was paying attention. The house special Mei Fun smelled like old shrimp and was flavorless. We used to order from here often. The food wasn't top of the line, but it wasn't bad for the price, and the delivery was usually really fast (faster than pizza). So it was great when we both worked late and didn't have the desire to cook or the energy to go out to eat. However, they have made changes that are NOT good for their business. Ordered General Tso, teriyaki beef sticks, lo mein, and sweet and sour chicken. Everything was good. We ordered on a Tuesday because we usually eat at Golden Wok on Lantana and 95 but on Tuesdays, Golden Wok is closed. We tried Fu Wing just to see and we may be going there permanently. We feel the breading on the food is not as thick, it was flavorful, and the order was accurate. One lo mein we said no vegetables, we also asked for a side of Tso sauce and they got everything right. Although I won't order again from Fu Wing it doesn't deserve the abysmal reviews it has so far, so here's some nuance. I usually wouldn't order from a place with such bad reviews but did on the advice of a neighbor. The food was definitely not to my taste, but it wasn't awful; just not what I want in Chinese food. I got about 2/3 of the way through the over-sauced dish before tossing it in the trash (not worth the leftovers). That said, I reserve 1 and 2 star reviews for multiple problems, and other than not liking the food I found nothing else wrong with Fu Wing. The price was reasonable for the local market, the service was decent for a takeout place, the order was ready in the promised time frame. They were busy so someone must like their food. If they weren't a bit far afield I might even give them another try for a different dish, but as it is I'll have to be curious from afar. read more

Oh I wanted to like them. Ordered online and the website is a disaster. But once we figured it out we were good to go. The delivery was super fast and the food good. So why the one star? A few hours after dinner I started feeling really bad. Back spasms, stomach pain, etc. I just puked liked the exorcist for an hour straight, have chills and feel like death. Trust me when I say it didnt taste good the second time, but I feel much better. Must cook with msg or something because dear God that was horrible. I havent thrown up in years. We ordered from here because our favorite Chinese place closed up. We tried Fu Wing because it was close. I am not sure what spice they use in their fried rice, egg roll, wonton soup but it was almost inedible. Tasted kind of like cinnamon but could be 5 spice, not sure. Chicken lo mein was passable as was the chicken chow mein. However, my sister ordered the rib, shrimp, and wing dinner. Not the best and she swears the shrimp was fake. Ordered general Tso's with white rice, got sweet and sour chicken with fried rice. Ordered pepper steak, got beef and vegetables. Anyone who ordered fried rice got white rice and vice versa. So I call and explain this and they ask me to bring the food back from my house??? Are they planning on giving it to another person???? So I asked for a refund, which I think is fair considering we got food we did not want or even similarly order and was told no - no refund unless I drive back in the torrential rain and bring the food back untouched. Very consistent! Every time we have ordered, we get a good hot and delicious meal. There aren't many choices around here and this is the best we have found so far! The spare ribs are delicious! Won ton soup is a little salty. Fried rice is made to order and so good! The beef and broccoli has good flavor and good quality beef. Will continue to order from here! read more

Agree with Gustav S.... Average. I think the portion sizes are kind of small especially for dinner. The rice is pretty good. Ordered the Egg Foo Young (2 pancakes and one serving of rice). I really like the sweet tea they offer ($1 for a quart) reminds me of the Chinese restaurant closest to my old home in NY. Service is fast and good! Compared to other local Chinese food places in the area, they are ranked number 3 in preference... Prices are good. read more

Found out this place delivers. Thought it would be a nice try to see how it goes. Must say the food arrived on time and hot. The only down side is that they have a "Thai" section and it was not what we ordered. (Guess that is why there is Thai places out there LOL). Ordered some sweet and sour chicken pretty good as well. Now the WonTon soup is something I have never seen before it was literally red looking, I was scared to even taste it. Oh well, looks like I will be sticking to our other Chinese place. This used to be great Chinese take out. Tonight the food was just "ok." Except the egg drop soup. That was so incredibly salty we could not eat it. I don't mean salty, I mean it was seawater. Completely inedible. We returned to the store with the full container and were offered a discount on a future order rather than a refund on the inedible soup. We will never find out what kind of discount because we won't be back. There's plenty of mediocre Chinese around; sad that this once great take out place has slipped so far. read more

Let me start by saying I am not a food snob and definitely not a picky eater. I also think this may be the worst review I've ever left. My parents just moved nearby, and we wanted Chinese food for dinner. Did a search on Yelp and found this one. The guy who took our order was very friendly. Food took 10 minutes. My dad ordered Shrimp & Lobster Sauce Combo, and he said his was fine--actually good. Cost was reasonable. Cons: I also ordered combination plate--Chicken with Vegetables. Chose a chicken wing instead of egg/spring roll. The wing, though rather greasy, was edible. The sauce for the entree and the veggies were fine; the chicken, however, was AWFUL. (I pray it was just bad chicken and not some other animal!) You know when you have fried chicken and it has a little fat on it that wasn't removed before it was fried? That's what every piece of chicken tasted like--fat. After a few pieces, I just ate the veggies and called it a day. I am going to look through some of the other reviews to see if others had the issue, but I don't think we will be back! read more

Portions are a bit small than at other places I been too. But it's more affordable than some others places. So you get what you pay for!!! Sometimes they put too much soy sauce but they will always get it right the next time around. I'm not a huge Chinese takeout fan but I definitely like how they make their dishes here. must have new management! i always ordered their chicken curry and it was excellent. last yearit came with just chicken skin and no meat. a few days ago, after a year passed, i thought maybe the chicken was an error. was i mistaken., it had a huge amount of skin and, again, no actual chicken meat.when i called, manager said that they cook chicken a very long time and that the consistency looks like skin. BS- my family was in poultry business and i know the texture and appearance of chicken skin when it has been boiled. never again will i order from them. and they are rude!!! read more

I have never been disappointed with the food. I was surprised to see others give this place bad reviews. I guess when I look for chinese food I want great tasting food. If its expensive or delivery takes longer than expected, then I can understand how some people get bothered by those things. This place is close to my house and delivers, so I get it once or twice a month. They do some things very well others not so much. Soup is average, the fried duck choices are pretty good. Service is always good. I don't care for their Crab Rangoon. Egg rolls are average. The fried dumplings are very good. The best value is their lunch combos, you get about the same serving size as the dinners sometimes we order it at 3 and just heat it up for dinner. Overall I'd say it's just the same old average Chinese carry-out/delivery that seems to be in every plaza. I enjoy it but I wouldn't go out of my way to get food from them. read more
