Had a power outage in two rooms and no WiFi ... got in touch with Dave at Fuata electric and they were able to come in a couple of hours. He said that he will email us a quote. 1.5 months and multiple phone calls later, never gave us a quote. Wasted our time and left us hanging. If you are reading my review, read it and then go back to the main search. If I can leave a negative start I would. I call the office on Friday 10/21 to schedule us for monday (10/24) at 9-10am eta. I called and followed up in the morning and they said they will call prior to their arrival. It's now 10:00am and I have not heard back from the office or technician. I probably called about 5-6 times within 10-11am and heard no response. I left two emails to try and contact someone for an update. The first email was an opportunity for them to respond and the second was to confirm that I took their lack of response as a form of cancellation. I expressed the urgency of our repair and how we needed for our business operations. It was a simple short in a j box. They are not considerate of your time or needs as a business. At least call and say you can take the job or make up a lie saying you can't. Waste of my time.. don't even bother. Go elsewhere. read more

This review is sincerely written to the bottom of my families heart. Let me start that this business is top notch. I have about 3/4 of my house out of electricity. Usually we just have to reset everything and boom, it goes back. This time, nothing happens. So I called a lot of electricians and Fuata Electric caught my attention the most. Jennifer pick up and started asking me questions about my problem. To make the story short, she suggested to call PGE&E first and have them do some kind of inspection and call her back afterwards. So PGE came and said they have replaced some wires with copper and they gave us a good source of power that will last a long time. However, after some more checking and resetting , our power still will not come back. So the lead guy, there are three of them working by the way said, we have done everything we could have done and I suggest to have an electrician see this. So, I called Jennifer back but she was not able to send somebody because of the holidays. This is happens on Dec 29. She suggested that she could make me an appt on Monday Jan 3. That day Monday, I called Jennifer that Monday morning and she said she will send somebody between 11-12 am. Jennifer is such a very helpful human being, very professional on the phone and I did not sense any rudeness because I am being desperate and pushy about my dilemma. At around 1:30, a man by the name of David came ( by the way Jennifer called me that the technician will be late which is another show of professionalism for informing the customer). A very nice man and I later found out that he is the owner of the company. He greeted me nicely and I show him where the panel is. David looked and do some inspection and testing and said you have these breaker broken and I need to replace this. I can restore you power temporarily with 60 Amps and I will come back to get the parts and you should be fine and the only thing that will not be working right now is your washer and drier. I was so happy and just like that he restored the power for like 90% of the house. So, I asked him how much do I owe you? David said this part will only cost possibly $100 plus my labor. He did not asked for any payment at that time and said I will have Jennifer call you. The day after early morning, two nice guys came and replace the breaker and clean the panel and restore my power completely. Again I asked how much is my bill. They said you will get an invoice and I was floored, what fixes everything and did not make me pay. This company Electric Fuata is my go to guy forever now. There are so many electricians I spoke to prior to Jennifer and all of them seems to be just interested in making money, sorry guys I will not mention your names anyway. As a matter of fact two company did not even came and suggested me a price that I will not even mention. This company is 1000% percent recommended and if you happen to have electrical issues, you know whom to call. To David, Jennifer and to the two electricians who came over, I salute you guys and I wish you happy new year and stay safe. I am planning to upgrade my panel to 200 amps because of our plan to purchase electric vehicle but the is in the near future. Now I know the people I will call for my future project. Fuata Electric is who you want to go with. Dave (the owner) squeezed me into his schedule and made quick work of my problem after another person came by and couldn't figure it out. His diagnosis of the issue was calculated, he seemed incredibly knowledgeable, and made sure to run a few tests to confirm what caused the issue to begin with. He provided tips including some lighting suggestions to help with the electricity costs. It's hard to find honest people these days and I wouldn't hesistate to use them again. I had an electrical issue late at night the other day. I messaged a few electricians on yelp and that I knew and Dave got right back to me via Yelp and scheduled a crew to come out first thing in the morning since he was concerned the issue could have been unsafe. The two electricians who came to my home were professional and super thorough, checking every wire, outlet, etc. They seemed extremely knowledgeable and took photos of items that could be improved if I want to make these improvements to stop further future issues from happening. I came across Fuata Electric approximately 4 years ago while working for the current property management company I work for in San Mateo. Our company continues to use them for many of the HOA's we manage in the Bay Area. I've always found Dave and his technicians to be very professional, helpful, and knowledgeable about their craft. Their prices are very competitive with other electricians we do business with. Being that the majority of the HOA's I manage are in San Mateo, it is definitely handy to have a local company such as Fuata Electric available especially in a case of an emergency. One note, obtaining invoices in a timely manner for jobs completed by them was a bit challenging some time ago, possibly due the organization being understaffed so If I could, I'd give them 4.5 stars. I understand Dave Fuata (Owner) was involved in coaching the local San Mateo American Legion Post 82 team for some time so I can respect and admire a local business supporting the local community. Quoted $10k to connect wires to outside garage. Another electrician did it for $1500! We've been asking where is the wires that he placed for our doorbell and refuses to answer and tell us. I was told by a friend that I should install a residual-current device, so I emailed Dave asking him to do the work. Dave's reply was: "I'm not sure this is something you need. You currently have circuit breakers that will detect a ground fault. If your house had fuses I would say this is something you may need.
