I'm honestly surprised. Fuddruckers USED to be my favorite burger joint in Lubbock but after wasting money on raw hamburgers here, TWICE, we had decided not to come back ever again. That was about 2 years ago. Today we figured we would give it one last chance. Our favorite burgers in town are 5 guys and Burgerfi. The prices at those 2 competitors are better. 3$ for a large drink at Fuddruckers is ridiculous. That's the negative. The service this time was definitely improved. There was Jorie (I think) and she was very pleasant, smiling and polite throughout the ordering process. She even went around to check on customers in the restaurant when not busy at the front. All the employees were pretty great with checking in on us and other customers. They even thanked us for coming at the end of our meal on our way out the door. The place was packed with more people than I have ever seen at a fuddruckers before, however, the order line moved quickly and surprisingly our food came out WAY faster than we expected. All of our burgers were cooked perfectly as requested. The onion rings and wedge fries were excellent as well. The store was clean and didn't smell of sewage thankfully. The employees were quick to bus tables and clean the floors. The store wasn't blaring music either and that was nice. All in all, I'd have to be honest and say I'm surprised by how well Fuddruckers did today. 3.5 stars due to cost alone but excellent employees help round that up. My kids loved it, my wife and I enjoyed our meals. Good job today Fuddruckers. We will be back again soon. Hopefully we can add you back to our list of favorite burgers again. read more

Let's be honest, most burger joints are crime scenes disguised as restaurants: sticky floors, apathetic staff, and food that tastes like regret and sadness. But then there's Fuddruckers, run by the local business heros Daniel and Stacy Stanton, who clearly made it their life mission to put a delicious burger into fat self. From the moment we walked in, it was suspiciously clean. Like, are-they-hiding-a-body clean. Not a single fry fossil under the table, not a rogue smear of mystery sauce in sight. I've seen operating rooms with lower sanitation standards. The staff? Either terrifyingly well-trained or part of a covert government burger cult. They were attentive, efficient, and so helpful I started to wonder if they were trying to recruit me into something. Now to the food, these burgers didn't just slap--they staged a full-blown assault on my taste buds. Juicy, flavorful, perfectly cooked meat hugged by a bun that was probably baked in the tears of lesser chefs. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they have a quality beef capable of being cooked medium rare as most places won't even entertain cooking their mystery meat that low as it might as well be called 'liability'-rare in their minds. The onion rings were crispy and seasoned to perfection, and the toppings bar was so pristine I felt ashamed when I realized I almost used the same tongs to grab both lettuce and tomato. The burgers are so unique visually and in profile that I may just order a couple to take home and a lie to guests that they are homemade. Bravo, Daniel and Stacy. I hadn't been to Fudds since they moved off Slide Road. The new Fudds on Milwaukee is much smaller, and I believe that is a huge bonus! The burger I had was thick, hot and tasty and the wedge fries were so hot they burnt my mouth when I first tasted them. The service was fantastic, several times I was asked if everything was ok. The restaurant itself self was immaculate, including the bathroom. I highly recommend the new Fuddruckers! read more

2 cheeseburgers (one 1/2lb & 1 1/3lb), 2 orders of fries and 2 waters-- $28 and it was NOT GOOD. Buns were cold. 1/2lb burger was cooked just a touch over rare when ordered medium. Some toppings seemed fresh-purple onions and tomatoes but the others appeared old and not appealing. Their famous jalapeno cheese sauce was mislabeled-contained no peppers and it appeared VERY watered down-have never seen it like that. There were only 2-3 other tables at noon so they weren't busy at all but front doors were nasty and looked like they hadn't been cleaned for days. I mean this place has been steadily declining but we both agreed that sadly it would probably be our last visit. WAY overpriced for a way below mediocre lunch for sure. read more

When we arrived the door was locked at 11:30 and employees were outside calling to have someone unlock it. Inside had several tables full of people eating so I'm not sure how or why the door was locked. The place was full of greasy smoke. Stinks! After ordering it took 15 minutes for them to call our name and then the burger and fries were cold. One person in our family ordered chicken strips and they were burned and tough as a boot. Warning before you use the web ordering. There is no difference in "Top it myself (pick up only)" and "Fidd way". Made it all the way home only to find that the Fudd way I added was not included. Not sure where to start. We go out of our way to come to Fuddruckers when we travel from Colorado. We were so disappointed in the service. Out of 5 of us only the kids meal was correct. Everyone asked for the "meal" and only one had the onion rings. Others that ordered French fries got none. We were informed we could go thru line again to pay for them, while our burgers got cold???. Also, this place was beyond filty!!! Pretty bad when your shoes literally stick to the carpet. There was also someone sleeping in the corner booth. Not sure if it was an employee or not. I wanted to celebrate academic excellence with my daughter so I brought her to what used to be my favorite spot to celebrate. 1st The Apple Pay machine did not work therefore the cashier told me that I could proceed and just pay after we received our food. She then went on and stated that sometimes Apple Pay does not work too well and since I have my card in the car I can just pay later. While waiting on our food Secondly we went to the bathroom but could not use the restroom because one toilet was full of urination and poop while the other was covered in blood. I should've left immediately but my daughter really loves hamburgers and I really wanted her to try what use to be my favorite place. But to add insult to injury as we exited the bathroom I was headed to inform management of the mess in the bathroom but noticed that the cashier was waiting on me in the center of the restaurant. As she walked up to me she immediately stated that I needed to pay. I explained to her again that I hadn't received my food yet and as soon as I situated my daughter that I would get my card out of my vehicle but as I walked to the counter to pick up our order I noticed that the cashier was still waiting in the center of the restaurant eyeing me away. This really bothered me as I was putting condiments on my daughter's and I burgers. As I paid I wanted to say something to the cashier but I did not want to have that discussion in front of my daughter. Thirdly the "ketchup" in the container was not ketchup at all-it was barbecue sauce!!! Fourthly we had to leave in the middle of eating our celebration dinner because my daughter really needed to use the restroom and there was no way I was going to allow a six-year-old to utilize that filthy bathroom! Lastly in hopes that no one else experiences the awful experience I did I summoned management via phone and shared my experience. Sadly management had no training skills to recognize nor complement a customer's discomfort or dissatisfaction. She did not acknowledge my concerns nor show any empathy. Didn't even offer compensation for the unpleasantness. I totally admire restaurants who cater to please their customers. Sadly Fuddruckers is definitely not one of them. Chick-fil-A is a fast food restaurant and their service is five star!!! I was totally embarrassed for the entire company! I had the Buffalo Burger. I personally think the quality starts with the meat. For starters, I find it very hard that the grill was clean as there appeared to be grill residue on the burger and bun. I wanted my Buffalo between medium and medium well. Because there was no between, I chose Medium Well. It was not good at all and the quality of Buffalo did not appear to be of good quality. I was looking forward to coming back to try fuddruckers again after many years. Can't say I was disappointed nor pleased with my return. There was a wide variety of menu options to choose from. The worker on duty at the tI've was a teenager, I say no older than maybe 17. It was very obvious that she didn't want to be there. While she wasn't necessarily rude she was very tense and she had an attitude to me and my family. As for what I ordered, It was a plain simple cheese burger with a side of onion rings and they were both extremely bland and lacking adequate flavor, while not being gross they just weren't as flavorful and exciting as I had anticipated. Other than me and my family the entire restaurant was dead. The only other people there other than workers was a group of six having a party. The restaurant in general was very unclean and unsanitary. The condiment bar and the restrooms were by far the worst part of my visit. The condiment bar was EXTREMELY messy and there was just food splattered all over the place. The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting disgusting. Im not sure if it was the clumps of toilet paper all over the place or the fact that there was feces smeared on the toilet seat. At this point we were discussed but decided to stay because we already spent all that money. Used to be a great place to eat.... Used to. Now you're going to pay steakhouse prices for a tiny burger, (not including fries and drink) and the whole resturaunt smells like a sewer pipe bust... Not to mention how they nickel and dime you over every little thing... $1 for a single slice of cheese, another $1 for two tiny strips of bacon, and then they say "no duplicates" so you can't get your money's worth. Cleanliness lacks badly under the drink machine is garbage and I'm telling you never been mopped under there. Plus around the baseboards and tables grime buildup. Always busy and noisy but your order's up pretty quickly. Food is appropriately priced and tastes pretty decent. The burgers are way better than the fries in my experience, which tend to be slightly soggy/mushy but the nacho cheese that is freeeeee makes up for any squishiness of the fries, and the new freestyle Coke machines are sweet! Plus the condiments bar is awesome so you can customize your burger exactly to your liking. Only real complaints have nothing to do with the restaurant and the people who work there and everything to do with the people who were sitting behind me and kept bumping into me with no apology every time they got up to get their order, refill drink, get cookies, etc... But really, not a biggie when you're in a crowded restaurant and when your burger is sooo delicious and you're in good company...! read more

I was actually pleasantly surprised at how good our Fuddruckers experience was. I had not been to one since 2007 in Albuquerque so I wasn't sure what to expect but my wife and I were in the mood for burgers so off we went! First of all, the lady at the cash register immediately picked up on our unfamiliarity with the menu and walked us through it, recommending the build-your-own option. This is the best option by far since you can deviate from the set menu and literally make the burger however you want. The unlimited topping option is the most cost effective since you can really pile them on! The burgers were juicy and delicious and I recommend the fries and rings - best of both worlds! The only minor criticism reflects what someone else said before - it did seem like they were out of a lot of options in the Coke Freestyle machine. HORRIBLE experience! Our high school football team PRE-ORDERED meals for after a game. They weren't any where near ready and were made begrudgingly. The cook slapped premade/precooked looking patties on the grill just long enough to warm them some. Centers of the burgers were still chilled and cheese wouldn't melt. Who would think you could get a nice grilled chicken salad from a hamburger restaurant that tastes this good! The chicken is well seasoned and tender, not overcooked dried piece of meat. Then diced into a mixed greens salad. I usually head over the toppings bar and add a couple extra toppings. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I can't believe some of the reviews of this place! Maybe because I've only been twice, but yeesh! I'm from Colorado, and Fuddruckers moved out of state a while ago, so the only opportunity I get to have it is when I travel. Luckily I found a Fuddruckers here in Lubbock, and it's just as good as the ones in Colorado used to be. If you want a fast-food burger that comes out a minute after you order it, or if you want a super-cheap, tasteless burger, you are in the wrong place. If you want a super high end, gourmet burger, you are probably also in the wrong place. This is a place for a good tasting burger with loads of sauce and fresh toppings/ingredients place. The buns are awesome, the meat delicious, and hte options make it all the better. Will it take a little while? Of course. They do a thing called "made to order", and they do it the old fashioned way... actually cooking the meat, not just running it through a vaporizer or something. The desserts are also good :). If the place is packed, it'll probably take a little longer for your burger. That's what happens when places are packed. read more
