I really enjoy our local Fuddruckers (in York, PA), but we were over in Lancaster area, and decided to give this one a try. Sorry that we did. We just assumed that all of the menu's for Fuddruckers (a franchise chain) would be the same, but they are not. This location does not offer the burgers by themselves - you have to order a burger with a side (cole slaw, side salad, or fries), and then they charge a premium for it. Ended up being way more expensive of a visit compared to our normal Fuddruckers, so we won't be back to this location. In addition - their topping bar was missing some of the items that I'm used to seeing (i.e. pico and other items). Oh well - glad we have better options in York. read more

At the Lancaster Barnstormers game we got "Buy 1 burger, get 1 burger free" vouchers. Came in to use the voucher and they didn't accept the voucher with the Beyond Burger. LAME. A burger is a burger. The price of the Beyond Burger is equal to the other burgers as well. read more

Everything was very clean, all the tables and floors were spotless. The bathroom was clean and cool. Everyone I talked to was incredibly friendly and we're very patient as we made up our mind. The veggie bar was fresh and perfectly laid out. Almost felt bad grabbing stuff, it was so pretty. The condiment bar was spacious and. Quite surprisingly, also very clean. Our food came out quickly and was perfectly cooked. I had a Hangover burger, medium rare. The egg oozed slightly and the bacon wasn't tough at all. The main menu is Burgers, fries & milkshakes but they do have salads too. Most in my party ordered burgers. I got the burger off the kids menu which was plenty big. Was not crazy about the fries. I have a real love/hate relationship with Fudds as a chain. The first time I ever went to a Fudds was in the 90's in Portland Oregon (that location has long since closed) and I've been hooked since then on the concept. Why? I'm good on burgers of all types plus being able to top them how I see fit which is why the chain appeals to me. But at the same time the level on consistency from location to location is maddening because pretty much, there is no consistency. I've been to way too many locations both active and dead in OR, WA, PA, NJ, DE, FL and MD and I could write a dissertation about how the stores all differ with alcohol policies, fry refill policies, fry portion sizes, different menu offerings from store to store that may or may not appear on the website, how it seems like some stores take forever to churn out food even when they're dead while others make it seem like they had the burgers already waiting for you, etc. Personally I think the lack of consistency is why the chain keeps hemorrhaging locations. There briefly was a location near me in eastern PA that closed years ago, the location that was in Lancaster on route 30 was a long time embarrassment that thankfully closed and overall the chain has shed nearly half the stores they had open in the US a decade ago. So for this visit we roll in on Memorial Day and thankfully the place is deserted. No one there except for us and two other tables. The person who took our order was nice and everything starts off on point. First noteworthy thing once we look for a table is that there are multiple tables that were left dirty. This is the part of the Fudds experience that I never understood and to me it really doesn't work. I hate this hybrid thing where you get called up to the window via a buzzer like it's a cafeteria yet you have no ability to clear your own tables because now it's a sit down restaurant where everything piles up until after you leave without a realistic way to clear things. Nice idea but honestly it doesn't work because most Fudd locations do not staff a dedicated position to clear tables in a timely manner. The Hummelstown location normally isn't bad and neither are the two Jersey locations but at the old Lancaster location and the one in Delaware you could show up to find half the tables left dirty. Bacon Cheddar Burger - Elk Burger - Current featured burger with lobby placard near the register that is not on the website. In terms of the food overall I can't complain. Everything for the most part was done as advertised. I mean technically the Elk Burger was definitely done closer to well than medium giving it a tough consistency and the portion of fries compared to other Fudd locations was very skimpy but in terms of flavor everything tasted like it should. No shakes for us as the flavors honestly are a bit boring and the two NJ locations have soured us on the concept of a Fudd shake as they always render their shakes thin and watery. Sorry but they cost way too much to potentially be paying for colored sugar water. I don't get out to this area as much as I did a few years ago but in the future I will certainly keep this place in mind as while not great, it's solid enough to warrant a return visit. read more

Each time we take our granddaughters here the food and service goes down. I loved this place when it first opened up. Great food and service. Then things changed to bring costs down to the management but prices increased. It seems that the motto here is "pay more and get less". Here is why. Originally one of the items on the kids menu was Mac n cheese. Our girls loved it. They always asked us to take them there for it. Then on one visit it was gone. I asked the manager why it changed and he said it cost too much. The kids always got a real cookie with their meals. Now they get an Oreo. Again cost saving for the management. Now tonight we see that they don't have sliced apples for the kids meal but a whole apple. I'm sure another cost cutting change. I'm sure the management doesn't think how tough it is to take two young grandchildren out to dinner, especially when one is a diabetic. A small thing like now having to slice an apple for them takes time and when we get them settled our meals are cold. I am sure it will be a while before we take our girls there again. They are now way overpriced for the food and service you get. Management beware. You're going to go the same route as burger Chef, Sandy's, Lums and so many other restaurants that are no longer around because they didn't listen to or take care of their most valuable asset, their customers. read more

I usually only review small businesses, and not chains, but I had Fuddruckers for the first time in a few years and I forgot how good this place is! I haven't been to a Fuddruckers in about 2 years, and remembered them always having good burgers, but man was I suprised at how much the menu grew, and how much better it got in those few years. I had the chance to try the Bison burger, and the Elk burger and they were delicious! I customized them on the app, so I got exactly what I wanted on them, and had them cooked exactly as I liked. I also got a side of the sweet potato fries which were great. I noticed that the menu now consisted of chicken sandwiches, fish sandwiches and tasty looking salads among others, which was great to see. Besides the fresh tasting/looking food, the atmosphere is very welcoming and clean, and the staff is very friendly. Fuddruckers has now become one of my go to burger places, and I highly recommend stopping here to grab a burger if there is a restaurant near you. read more

Worst customer service. I do appreciate that it was busy, I am very patient but the gentleman in front of me was trying to pick up his to go order and asked the woman across the counter twice if the bag on the counter was his. She refused to even look up, finally on the third try she acknowledged him with a "what?!" and then got his order. He was super nice and took it in stride. A nice woman from the kitchen came out to help me since they forgot my milkshake but didnt really know how to use the register. She was the only helpful one so thanks to her! Food was good though! Only downside was that they forgot the sauce on our bourbon burger which was a bummer cause that kinda makes the sandwich. It was great to get back to Fuddruckers! It has been a long time since I've been to one and based on this experience I'll be back! This location is new, clean and the menu is packed full of different burgers from a 1/4 pound to a 1 pound burger. They also still carry other meats like elk. Only gave them a one as the food was ok . This place is run by a group of Incompetent high school students who think that it is ok to give a customer 3.00 in coins as change . The place is dirty , no one is wearing a hair restraint and they are not sanitizing the tables after each customer. They only remove the dirty dishes and dont even wash it . Will not come bacck . And they are very slow in getting orders out , we must have waited over 30 minutes and the place was almost empty . Is any one in charge here ??? read more

Along with tasty food comes a helping of great customer service. The staff members we came in contact with seemed genuinely concerned that we found everything to our satisfaction. (And our burgers were!) We were fans of Fuddruckers when they first came to the area many years ago and were disappointed when those locations closed. Their return is a nice addition to our rotation of casual dining options. I like being able to decide for myself how much to load onto my burger rather than receiving an assembly line sandwich. First time here. I liked it. Very clean and modern open area. Plenty of seating. Service was friendly. Food was good and fast. I liked the fresh toppings bar. Didn't look gross as they keep up with cleanliness. They also give a free beer per customer which is nice. These are the absolute top rated burgers. Very filling substantive cooked just right and delicious. The toppings bar is always fresh clean and overflowing. I never leave this place feeling hungry or dissatisfied. The staff is really friendly and if you're a beer drinker and you're 21 you can get a free beer with your meal. There's plenty of parking is easy to get to but it's not on the main road so you have to know what you're looking for.I would definitely recommend you visit Fuddruckers especially if your belly is empty and you're interested in something yummy. read more

I absolutely love the customer service here. All of the employees are AWESOME! A small mistake was made today with a large order and the manager went out of his way to bring us a gift card and cookies! That is the definition of customer service. This is one of the reasons I will always choose Fuddruckers for lunch or dinner!
