A little basic..... I had high hopes, it's super clean, newer establishment. They have a good menu with a lot of variety. We ordered a few things as we usually call our "ordering style" a buffet lol. We got carne asada nachos that were real basic, no tomatoes, just onions, cilantro, jalapeños and liquid cheese, they were soggy upon being served. The fish tacos were "good", not amazing and the chilaquiles were the highlight. I'm am always looking for good chilaquiles and I would have these again, they were just a tad greasy. This place has good reviews and I wasn't having a very good day so I turned to comfort food and decided to give this place a chance. Unfortunately I won't be back. To start, we were greeted by the cashier not with a Hello but he said "Do you have a complaint?" We have never stepped foot into this place until yesterday when we ordered. He said we looked exactly like a couple who had just left and didn't seem to believe us when we said no we're just picking up an order. He didn't seem to believe us but I shrugged it off. I ordered chicken enchiladas and as a big enchilada lover I almost always lick my plate clean. This time I couldn't even finish, the chicken was like pellets and hard and the enchiladas themselves were dry. They definitely skimped out on the sauce. Also no sour cream, when it was supposed to come with sour cream... the rice was okay and the beans had a weird taste. I'm not sure if the cheese on top was expired or what but it had a funky taste. I couldn't finish my plate. Also ordered the birria quesadilla, it was okay but not the best. Honestly the only good thing was the Horchata. It was not overly sweet and had good flavor; the consomé was not bad either. Everything else especially the enchiladas was not worth the money. I would have rather just stayed home and made my own. Also be aware other customers; they're door dash prices are a couple $$ cheaper than placing an order through Yelp. I saved myself nearly $10 by placing the order through Doordash. This place is super unhygienic. They mess up on my order. Gave my meal to another group. That group complain saying it wasn't what they order. The worker took the plate and went to the counter to check the order. With the same plate she took from the other group, went to my table and try to give it to me, then say "the other group didn't touch it". I told her that I'm not going to accept it. She took the plate back (to the the window of the kitchen, behind the cashier), left the plate on the counter (under the kitchen window). A minute later, grab the same plate, brought it back to me and said it's a newly cooked. I touched the fish and it was not hot. No way it was freshly made. How does it take 15+ mins to cook the meal but only a minute to remake the same meal? Because it wasn't remade. My bf ask them was it really remade. They continue to lie and said "it was" because they had extra one "made" already. Which doesn't make sense because I watch them and nothing was remade. They didn't even give us the whole meal we purchased, where was the chips and salsa. I have attached the photo of my meal. The plate had finger prints all over it. How was it a new meal. It looks like finger prints from so many different people, from the cook, the group that received the meal, and the person who brought out the meal. This is a major health issue. It is unsanitary to give a plate to another person off someone else's table. Doesn't matter if it's been touched or not, you don't take food off another table and give it to another person. How would the worker there really know if it's been touched or not. She dropped off the food and left right away. The group didn't even get a chance to say anything. read more
