Tucked in the South corner of Haven City (behind Native Son) you'll find a boisterous and lively restaurant that sells birria as their crown jewel. The service is quick and helpful, and ample sitting. I was in the mood for tejuino, one of my favorite summer drinks to sip on. I ordered a small for $6 and was offered a lime sorbet add-on for $1. Traditionally, the drink is provided plain but understandably the ice-cream gives it a sweeter slush type of thing. I was given a pager and waited around 10 minutes for my drink. The size is probably 12 ounces with light ice. You can ask for salt on the side if you'd like; I must say, the drink came out sweeter than it should have been as this beverage is known for its salty sweet fermented flavorings. I assume this is more for individuals who want to go out on a limb to try something new. I do wish this had it's hallmark taste with possibly a wedge of lime? Either way, the pricing is a bit steep for the amount but it's not the worst thing out there. read more

I had the combo with the quesobirria tacos. The tacos were delicious, so much flavor and the consomme, terrific. I, however, am not a fan of the rice and beans. Where's the flavor, the seasoning? There wasn't even a speck of salt. Add some seasoning and they should rock. The rice is fluffy and the beans were cooked just right but zero flavor. The queso tacos were good, def hit the spot at the time but i think if i wasn't in the mood for it then it would've just been good not great. the consume didn't come with meat automatically (you had to pay extra for that) and it didn't come with onions or cilantro (you had to manually add that yourself). I think it would've been a little better if the queso tacos also automatically came with the consume because i've been to places that pre adds that. However, I understand that maybe some people don't eat the two together. Again, the tacos were good and hit the spot but i just think they didn't have to charge for consume imo. Located at the Rancho Cucmonga Haven City Market now. Wow! This place smells so good, the moment you walk up to it. To be honest, that's what got me to decide to try this place out instead of our usual place. I got the birria noodles and tried their mulita as well. Both were delicious but I'd cut the cheese out of the birria noodles, it was good but too much for me. Their aguas frescas were also delicious! Both the horchata and Jamaica ones! The quesatacos were overall good, the flavors were expected and satisfied my craving for tacos. Everything that wasn't the base meat, cheese, and tortilla had to be added on and paid extra for. The service was good, we used the automated terminal and the food came out in around 5 minutes. This place is fire!!! Went to Haven City on Friday 3/27 to try different foods. Tried the Birria (de res) Taco Dorado and it was honestly so flavorful and the birria was juicy. Salsas were also bomb.. Asked the worker on the grill if I can try the birria de chivo; let me tell you, I tasted it and walked around looking for other food to try and ended up back to this same spot 10 minutes later because of how much I started fiending for that flavor again... We order more tacos, this time had the QuesaTacos de res and de chivo... Hands down some of the best birrra I've had. We are so use to going to Birriera Gonzales, but I think this is our new spot!!! Second time I came back to this place because I had a great experience the first time. Never coming back again! Dude that was at the counter taking my order was super rude and dismissive as if I was a burden to him ordering food. It's not like the place was slammed because no one was in line behind me and there were only two tables occupied. I wanted to cancel my order because I was so irritated with this guy but my pregnant wife at home was craving tacos and I was crunched on time. I didn't get his name but he was a Younger dude, kinda short, black shirt. Customer service goes a long way with returning customers and that guy just ruined it for me. First time I went was a few weeks ago and this other taller younger guy was super cool and I told him how great the food was and I even ordered twice within 20 mins because it was so good.
