Another great hit for the Time Out franchise. This is very similar to the other Time Out I went to in Chicago. This one in Boston has a great collection of unique trendy food concepts. There is a wide variety all with great offerings, and a few snack and drink places and a bar. It is a very nice and huge facility, so stylish. The ambiance is great. There was a bird in the rafters which was kind of funny. Unfortunately there is a not a clear online menu that is up to date with all the restaurants and their individual menus on the main Time Out Market website. You have to go into each restaurant and look at their online ordering POS to get to the menu. It was hard to decide what to eat because I could not look at all the options all at once, i had to walk around and look at the individual restaurant menus one at a time. I ended up choosing the Italian food place POE-lenta. I had a very tasty Creamy Chicken Rigatoni. It came with spicy crushed red pepper and grilled lemon as well. It was a good choice and was enjoyable. I did not finish all the chicken but it was pretty good. I also ordered a very yummy mocktail from the bar. I got a Coco Pom, which the bartender described as kind of a pina colada without the rum and with a pomegranate twist. It was really good, I drank it all. They also have convenient cups and a water tap to fill your water by the the two bars. The restroom was huge and very nice, but the stalls are so dark inside, the lighting was so dim I could not really see anything. I think the building should really work on those light levels. There was some appearance of construction ongoing in the hallway to the restrooms. Time Out is a great place to stop and spend some time, with great food, drinks, and atmosphere. This inexplicable blemish on Boston is a dystopian concrete nightmare that begins with you navigating a signless parking maze you get to pay at least $12 to enjoy, then progresses to a set of overpriced dining options with an interface designed by what appears to be chatGPT 3.0, allowing for next to no customization or, most problematically, inclusion of information of allergies/food protocols. Timeout Market is a super convenient food hall in Fenway if you work or have meetings in the Landmark Building or nearby. It's right downstairs, so it's an easy go-to for lunch. The stalls offer a decent range, pizza, burgers, pasta, ramen, tacos, bowls, sushi, smoothies, ice cream, and donuts. Pretty solid mix, though after a while it all starts to feel kind of the same. Would be nice if they brought in new vendors once in a while. Prices are definitely on the higher side. You really feel the upcharge, especially if you eat here often. What I do like is the seating. There's plenty of space at the community tables, and even when we come with a big group, we always manage to find a spot. There's also outdoor seating around the building, which is great when the weather's nice. Overall Service: The staff here are really strict about outside food. Even if most of your group orders from the hall, they'll still call it out if someone brings in something else. It feels a bit much for a casual food court. We've had situations where friends were asked to leave or put their food away, even though the rest of us were eating from Timeout. It kind of kills the vibe. My family and I were in the area and decided to get dinner here on a Sunday and do some word puzzles, and this was a great spot to hang out since it was so spacious and with an energizing ambiance. There are so many food options (including vegan and gluten-free!) and different cuisines available including Korean, Japanese, Mexican, American, Mediterranean and more. There are also smoothies, juices, pastries, donuts, and ice cream. We tried the crispy chick'n burger ($17) and yucca fries ($7) at Lulugreen and 2 bowls (one Korean-style and one chick'n and kale). The yucca fries were delicious and crispy on the outside while soft inside; however the aioli dressing was extremely salty and inedible, but the harissa dressing was nice and had the perfect amount of heat. Maybe it was a bad batch of the aioli dressing, no big deal. The burger tasted great, though it had a strong dill flavor, but it went pretty well with the honey glazed chicken. Be sure to get plenty of napkins. The portions were generous and appropriate for the higher prices, and everyone was eventually able to finish their bowls. I couldn't find Trillium on Yelp, so maybe they are joined together on this app! Either way, I've been to TimeOut and Trillium both a few times and always enjoyed. Trillium has a few seats inside with standing height tables, as well as a nice outside patio area to meet with friends. Their beers are pretty good & generally affordable for what you get. The vibes are great and I always enjoyed being there! Timeout is very crowded and loud at busy times, so I don't like being there on weekend evenings. But it's a great concept with a lot of food options, allowing folks with different tastes to still enjoy time together. You can eat inside or take things to go at Trillium. Located just outside the heart of Fenway, this spot is a convenient option if you're heading to a ballgame or concert at the park. It's lively inside with all the different vendors, but seating is plentiful and open to everyone. Service is ok and fast, and they clean the trays for you. I opted for the Sushi Tacos from Gogo Ya--my third time having them. However, this time around, they didn't quite live up to my previous experiences. I ordered the Torched Salmon Teriyaki and the Spicy Ahi Tuna. While both were decent and edible, there was a slight sour taste that I couldn't pinpoint. At $10 per taco, I'm not sure I'd justify getting them again. One of my friends tried Ms. Clucks Deluxe, which turned out to be much better and had a more reasonable price point. We particularly enjoyed the rolled gyoza with its nice cheesy crust and delicious dipping sauce.
