Shrimp Tempura Roll: too sweet, couldn't taste the shrimp tempura. Fried Oyster: overdried - dry - tasteless
    Joyce H.

My friend & I came here. We sat at the tepanyaki area, but we also ordered fried oyster and shimp tempura roll. Both were not satisfying. The oyster was dead-dead, meaning overfried-dry-tasteless. The shrimp tempura roll was too sweet with its sauce, barely could taste the tempura. Tepanyaki was good experience, but it could be much better. Based on my observation, many chef seems lacking of energy, they need to be more excited and speak up since the restaurant is loud already, plus the sounds of the exhaust fan. If they elevated their energy level, excitement, and improve their own skills to do much more, certainly, this restaurant can be the favorite place to go for many people. Thankfully, the taste of the food from tepanyaki was great. That saved my day! It was pretty entertaining, but the spirit was up and down. Wish the owner/management can step up more for better in all.

Teppanyaki with the chef's performance was really fun! Definitely check it out if have not tried it before. I think this might be the only place in the area that has something like this. Food was pretty good and the fried rice had a wok hei flavor and meats are cooked well. The ambience is very exciting with multiple tables having shows with their chefs!

My daughter had her birthday and we watched a great show!

We came here to celebrate my daughter's birthday, and it brought back so many amazing memories. I've been coming to this restaurant since I was a kid for my own birthdays, and even though it might have changed owners a few times over the years, it still has that same special magic. The show was everything we hoped for--flames, flying shrimp, spatula tricks, and plenty of laughs. Our chef was so fun and engaging, and the entire staff went out of their way to make my daughter feel celebrated. They sang, brought out a birthday treat, and truly made it a night to remember. The food was fantastic as always--tender steak, flavorful chicken, and fried rice that hit the spot. Even the pickiest eaters at our table were happy. It's rare to find a place that can stay this consistently fun and delicious across generations. Whether it's your first visit or your fiftieth, it's a great spot for birthdays and family celebrations. We'll definitely be back again!

What an Amazing Experience!!! Head Waiter Justin & Chef Neil ensured we had an awesome dinner event. To be honest it was so much more. Customer Service was on point explaining all the different options for dinner and Master of Fire Chef Neil stole the show with cooking, and delivery of our food. A once in a lifetime experience making our son's 21st birthday a dinner to remember. 10 out of 10 recommendation!!

Had the best time with the family at Fuji. The perfect place to celebrate a happy occasion.

Came here with my family of 4 including two young children to celebrate some great news my family had received. Our kids are autistic and are accustomed to family restaurants but teppanyaki was something totally new for them. We weren't sure how it was going to go, but we needn't have worried because the kids LOVED the show put on by the employee wearing a Donald Duck button but more importantly they loved the food. Wolfed it down, even my son who is usually a pretty picky eater. We almost didn't come here because Fuji is not listed as "Good for kids" under the restaurant attributes on Yelp. But it SHOULD be, because any place with a kid's menu is kid-friendly in my book. And while this place was on the spendy side, it was definitely worth it between the entertainment and the mountainous portions. I thought I was going to need to be rolled out of there. We all left with big smiles and full bellies. And early the next morning, when I opened the fridge to make breakfast, my 7 year old reaches instantly for the Fuji takeout container, saying "Mmmmm steak." It was a wonderful meal that won't soon be forgotten.

Good, it's typical Japanese steakhouse, went because my grandma loves it so what else do you do to make them happy!

After our chef finished cooking, he juggled with fire, which was fun!

Had dinner here last night. I think it's related to the location in Redmond? This Fuji location seemed more casual and had great music and a warm atmosphere. Servers were quick, and the chef was entertaining and super friendly. Had the filet dinner and it was SO MUCH FOOD! Included miso soup, a small salad, and then the fried rice (extra charge for that), veggies, noodles, and then the steak. So tasty! Always a fun night. This would be a great location for a family or casual and fun date night.

Scallops and steak. So much food - this was two meals worth of food! Lots of leftovers!

Delicious food, prompt, thorough, and friendly service, and such a fun atmosphere! A standout amongst rivals! We went here recently to celebrate my son's birthday. It was, as always, a hit! Our chef was really fun, and most importantly, cooked our food to perfection. We especially love how tender and juicy our chicken and steak was. I also ordered scallops that were perfectly seared and crisp on the outside, yet still tender on the inside. The vegetables were fresh and tasty, and the fried rice is a standout. All around, dishes are very flavorful. The price point is fair and excellent considering the quality of the food and experience. We will be back soon!

It was a co-workers birthday so we decided to come have dinner here. We arrived at 6:30PM on a Thursday. When we arrived they had 2 stations with the Chef doing their thang. They sat both of us at a new station and told us they were waiting on more people before they could start. We ordered fries while we waited since we were hungry. 30 minutes waiting and they did not have any other diners walk in so we had the table to ourselves and the Chef was really playful. The food was decent but it's the same sauce used for the veggies, the fried rice, the shrimp and the yakisoba. SOY SAUCE We left the restaurant around 8 and they close at 9:30. We were the last diners to have been seated and the last diners to have left for that day.

    Amazing. So so good

If you're looking for one of the best Asian meals, Fuji is EXCEPTIONAL. The chef was hilarious and super friendly. The food was cooked to perfection, and the service was top notch. Highly recommend for a date night, family get together, special occasion, or an overall great time. Cannot wait to be back soon!

This was only our second time visiting, and he took the time to explain the menus, something we didn't receive during our first visit. When our sushi arrived, he didn't just drop off the food and leave. Since all of the rolls were served on one platter, he walked us through each roll so we knew exactly what we were eating. That level of attention made the experience so much more enjoyable. He also checked on us frequently without being intrusive and made sure we were able to place our entire order before happy hour ended. During our last visit, our server avoided our table until about five minutes before happy hour ended, so we missed out on ordering several items we wanted to try. David made sure that didn't happen this time. We left completely full, happy, and very satisfied. His service was intentional, attentive, and truly top-tier. Customer service like his is exactly what keeps people coming back. We will definitely be requesting David the next time we visit! Also, the ambiance is lovely!

The food is not nearly as good as the famous Teppanyaki restaurant most people think about. The salad dressing is not very good, the soup was too salty, and the sauces were mediocre. The protein is almost as good, as is the fried rice. The chefs phoned it in a little bit, but the wait staff was very nice and attentive. We also got seated quickly. I just wish they did something different to justify the pricing when comparing against the famous Teppanyaki place, which they don't.

I came here with a friend and was a little worried seating without reservations would be tough. To our surprise, we were immediately seated. The place was almost empty, which is surprising for a Friday night. Their menu had an extensive list of options for teppan yaki, sushi, and cocktails. We both ordered a couple of bottles of Rihaku Dreamy Clouds sake and filet mignon and shrimp teppanyaki. Our teppanyaki came with salad, soup, rice, vegetables, and 2 piece prawn appetizer. The main attraction was the theatric presentation put on by our chef. There were towering flames, food being tossed up in the air, and even an opportunity to try to catch food using only our mouths. Our steaks were perfectly cooked and rice and vegetables nicely seasoned. There's a sauce that came with the steak and it was addicting. The meal ended with a brief pyro show where the chef set the whole flat grill on fire. This is a good option if you would like entertainment while watching your food being prepared. Service was excellent and our server consistently checked in and refilled our drinks.

I paid the bill & my sister paid the tip...a 30% tip because apparently they included the tip in the bill, so she tipped on the included tip! Our chef posted a QR code for his tip, but we gave him $30 cash. gave the server $30 too. I got home and noticed the $48 charge for tip. So we paid $108 tip for a $225 bill with poor service. I called to get a refund for the 'included tip' and the manager said THEY tip the chefs out of the main tip! We should not have tipped chef directly ! What's that QR code for that the chef gave us to tip him!!!!!?????? Anyway, since I paid tip in cash, he could not help me, especially with a tip directly to the chef!!!!!! So, my public service announcement is to NOT tip the chef directly. Watch out for the included tip on parties of 6 or more. I should have known, but was distracted and having fun while visiting family from out of the state. Ugh. Wasted $

My family and I often come in for lunch; we're big fans of the lunch sets where you can choose 3 meats, salad, and miso soup for about $20! I think compared to other people's experiences, I thought the staff were kind, attentive, and really improved our experience this time around! They told us how long to grill the meat for, what sauces they thought paired best with each cut, and even fixed our grill when it wasn't working properly. I was already a big fan of gyu kaku cause of their food, but the staff here were an added bonus as well. We'll definitely be coming back!

The sauces definitely helped bring everything together though! You also get to choose sides like veggies, miso soup, karaage, edamame, and more.
