My girlfriend and I go every other week to get the half price sushi. There are a bunch of different choices on the half price sushi menu and all of them have been great so far. We have tried about three quarters of them. If you spend about $20ish per person you get free soup and salad too and those are both really good. Horrible ! I ordered the steak and scallop habachi. They served the noodles on the side and she didn't bring them to me at the same time as the veggies and meat. It was cold. Taste was bland. I dined with 3 friends and all our food didn't come at once. Their fried rice looked like it had been reheated. Restroom was dirty and toilet almost overflowing.. gnarly sight to see.. cost was not worth the food quality. And service was lacking. I've heard the sushi is good but I will not be going back or referring to anyone.. waste of money. I went Fuji for lunch with 6 co-works a couple of days ago. Later, 3 of us was informed by our credit card issuer that our card number is stolen. One guys with his card just opened and used no where other than Fuji. So we are pretty sure, there's something wrong with this restaurant. Worst part is, when we talk to their manager about this issue, he tell us to do whatever we want and they don't care! We are lucky we didn't lose any money because the fraud detection system. However we don't want any other people to take this risk, so I suggest DON'T eat there! read more

We were a party of 9 celebrating a birthday. We had a great time! We had drinks at the bar as everybody arrived. Didn't have to but wanted to. They seated us promptly at a hibachi table and the fun began. Our server kept our drinks coming and took orders all around. We had a couple of the crab Rangoon apps - pretty standard but tasty. All of us had combos of steak, filet mignon and shrimp or scallops. Soup, salad, rice - you can upgrade to fried rice and most did, veggies and shrimp appetizer comes with each meal. The soup was just broth with some noodles - weakest link. Salad was flavorful as were the veggies and fried rice. Never did see our shrimp appetizers?? Our chef was funny and personable. Teasing the birthday girl, tossing food for us to catch as well as sake! The dinners were great - chef made sure all were cooked perfectly to order. The sauces were delish. We all agreed we would definitely come back. And of course they sung Happy Birthday and appropriately embarrassed the birthday girl! read more

I have to say that this is (THE BEST) Hibachi Steak House that I have ever eaten at the staff is so amazing and the place inside is beautiful and the food is melt in your mouth awesome. If you like Steak and fried rice this is your place and the prices are reasonable and the whole family will love watching the Hibachi Chef cook for you and maybe even toss some food your way and I mean that literally. I give Fugi 3 stars because I will say that I still enjoyed my meal. Here was my problem. This restaurant has had 1/2 price sushi and appetizers for as long as I have been going there. We went to dinner last night with friends and our bill was high. We noticed nothing we ordered was 1/2 off. When we asked, the already terrible server who rushed our order, forgot to order part of it so we never got it and was slow to bring drinks, never told us that the half price sushi was no longer on weekends. Were there signs? Yes, after he told us we looked for them. One on the door you don't enter and one and the hostess station below her so when she greets you, your eyes never go down. I politely told him that he may want to mention the change when people are ordering so they are aware of the change if they had been regulars and didn't know. He didn't apologize. His response was to get and attitude and say "Well there was a sign". Dude, you already sucked and that's what you have for me? FYI, our friends have had him a server before and said this is just how he was, he was not just having an off night and they knew our order was going to get messed up before they even sat down. For the first time ever, I did not tip. This was painful for us. To go from a 25% minimum tipper to nothing is not our nature. But he was that awful. So the moral of the story Fugi...please let your servers know that they should ask people "Have you been with us before?" And when they say "Yes", please make your guest aware of your pricing change. If not, then you just seem shady and people won't return. read more

this commend is for the Fuji at Hyde Park~~ very disappointed at the place. tried because of groupon; however, i was forced to charge 18% of gratuity that the groupon did not stated but on the menu; just like a trap!. no body told me ahead of time that this is gonna happen. the waitress missed my order also!! i ordered the dinner for 2 that the menu listed as $53.95 but i was charged $59.95 the lady boss told me i was wrong and was very rude!!!! before i walk out of the restaurant she did not even look at me or say thank you!! My family and I dined at Fuji in Eastgate to celebrate my nephews 18th birthday on 10/16. I don't normally leave reviews, but this time I must. We had a wonderful experience from beginning to end. The staff was friendly, helpful, and efficient. The food was wonderful. All of us had just a wonderful experience. I do want to highlight one particular person that made our experience so nice. We were blessed to receive Gary as our chef. Gary was incredible!!! He's from Indonesia and is just the best! The worst visit that has ever happened!!!!! This place was the worst tonight. Went there to celebrate sons birthday for the entertainment that goes with the experience. None of that happened. Man cooking did not talk once. I mean he stood there cooked the food and walked away. He then cooked all the rice and noodles first that he sat and placed on our plates 5 minutes before he started cooking meats and vegetables. Then he didn't bring enough vegetables to the hibachi and wasn't going to do anything until I asked if there were more veggies. I only ordered the veggie delight, so yes the vegetables were the most important part. I didn't cause a scene at the time cause we were there for my sons birthday but once kids went to car I talked to manager. He said that that man is being let go tomorrow cause he wasn't doing his job prior. Well then why did you give him another table? Went here for dinner and was greeted immediately when we walked in the door. After being seated in the dining section we chose our dinner, filled out our sushi menu and proceeded to sit for 20 minutes with not as much as a staff member getting drink orders. Instead we watched our waiter go to the table next to us multiple times then walk back and forth with another staff member and a small child holding onto their aprons as they walked around. I went in with high expectations, but left with a bad taste in my mouth. The food was decent, but my main complaints all stem from the horrible, horrible service I received from ALL employees. Not only did it take our server an eternity to greet our table, refill drinks and do quality checks, but they wore a grimace on their face the entire time. The place was a ghost town, so there wasn't any excuse for such a lack of hospitality. When my party and I had a major complaint about the food, we asked to speak to a manager. This person must have had no managerial training because I've NEVER witnessed such a lack of customer service and communication skills. She was downright rude, unapologetic and accused us of being illiterate because we apparently didn't read the menu correctly. I will never, ever, ever be back to this place. I'll be spending my time and money down the street at Koto Japanese Steakhouse, where the prices may be just a hair higher, but you're paying for what you're not getting at Fuji Steakhouse, and that is hospitality, good food and a well-rounded and pleasant dining experience. Couldn't believe the lousy service I received from this place! We were celebrating my sister's birthday and our meals came out at different times. When I had finished my meal, my boyfriend was just getting his. I understand that they were busy, so I let it slide. But, when we discovered that my boyfriend's dish was not only late but missing scallops, I had to say something. I went to the manager and simply informed her that the scallops were missing out of his dish. She replies by saying to add scallops it costs $20. I looked at her confused thinking she might not fully understand what I was talking about. I grabbed a menu and showed her where it said that the dish included scallops. She said that they were updating the menu and that was incorrectly listed. Honestly I was confused at this point. I explained that this meal clearly shows that it includes scallops and she begins to chuckle as if I wasn't understanding her! She again says that scallops cost more and they haven't updated the menu. At this point, I'm completely irritated. I said they can not sell a listed item if they plan on cheating the customer. If the waitress would've mentioned this when we had ordered, we would've made our decision at that point. However, nothing was said. They were going to simply cheat the customer. She reluctantly agrees to throw some scallops in, which were minimal and diced even. Upon receiving the bill, I see how they decided to still charge us the full price as listed on the menu. Unbelievable! I've worked in hotels for 10 years and never had I seen such poor customer service. They've lost my business and loyalty for something that could've easily been prevented. read more

We have been frequent visitors of the Fuji steakhouse in Eastgate since it opened, probably at least twice a month. Our children all love it and are sure to clean their plates. We will however, not be returning. We arrived today at 12:30 after driving a half hour to eat there and upon being seated were told they were only serving dinner menu due to the holiday, it is New Year's Eve. We weren't happy but agreed to Stay because the kids were all seated and excited. We were then told that the kids meals would not be their normal 50% off either. I asked to speak to the manager and she was VERY rude. The menu clearly states that kid meals are 50% EVERYDAY. she said we should have checked the website before coming because it would have told us of the holiday pricing. I DID check the website and it does NOT mention the price change. Way to go, you lost very loyal customers and all of my FB audience. read more
