A nice hidden gem in Fulshear area! Tasty sushi at a very reasonable cost. Nice local eatery!

We started off with a sashimi dinner for the table and cruncy calamari. The sashimi was all fresh cut fish:salmon, tuna, albacore tuna, escolar (small for if chili sauce aghhh so spicy) and red snapper. They brought out the wrong kids meal but she loved it any way so it wasn't a big deal. (tempura vs katsu chicken). Each meal (not ramen) come with soup and salad. The salad has a ginger based dressing which was tasty and not over powering. I ordered the ramen. My tamago over cooked but the ramen itself was good quality with a good broth. The tonkatsu was cooked well and tender. This place is good for families. The staff handles the kids very well! My neice was being a terrible two of a girl and they gave her some "fun chopsticks" and brought her food out right away. There were 3 families in the restaurant while we were there and they all understand the struggle! Overall a great place! Now I have a place to have some ramen or a quick sushi roll. read more

Customer service simply isn't here. It's sad because it's decent food. I accidentally stumbled upon it when i was trying to order from Fuji sushi Katy (on Katy Mills Blvd...their Google listing mixed up the numbers). I've had conflicting delivery policies and the amount is always changing. I also have picked up and called 30 minutes before, and still had to wait 30 minutes (I was one of 2 people in there..the other was sitting down to eat) The Fuji Sushi on Katy Mills has far better customer service and much cheaper and the food is really good. It's just less flashy. The waitress remembers me each and every time I come in and is SO nice! I can't find their yelp to review, but I would suggest trying the other Fuji Sushi located in the Wal-Mart parking lot on Katy Mills blvd. It's much better! Save your money and try the other Fuji Sushi, you won't regret it! read more

Make no mistake: 4 stars is high praise for a sushi bar outside of downtown Houston. The fish was fresh and flavorful at a reasonable price. So long as you don't go in expecting Uchi-level quality you'll come out satisfied. Nothing on the menu will blow your mind, but if you're used to quality sushi, this fits the bill. read more

If I wanted sushi I would go to Miyako but I tried this place. Not bad! Very decent and good size for the amount of sushi you get. The one thing that really bothered me was the hot green tea. Sushi is just ok good but the beginning and end of my experience is the tea and this tea was not hot. I got a refill just incase mines was just the last batch but it came back even colder than the first. I'm picky and yes my hot tea needs to be hot! Like I can barely hold the mug hot. Other than that I will return when I want that sushi craving. My hubby didn't care for the Salmon Sashami which I agree needs to be colder and served on ice, it's raw fish. This place is on the small scale and the service is decent compared to all other sushi restaurants. But they get what you need and are nice. read more

Excellent! We've ordered takeout 3 times and every time the sushi has been fresh, well portioned, and delicious. The quality of the fish here is, in my opinion, the best in Katy. I give this 2 only because delivery was ultra bad. Bottom line Grubhub sucks. We verified our address twice, and yet the driver was sent to the wrong house. The only reason we found our food was someone knocked on our door and we luckily saw the delivery driver. When we stopped him he even showed us the receipt which was wrong. Food is good, but service is horrible. I had preferred on the phone and they told me it would be ready in 30 mins. I got there and there were 5 people waiting outside. I asked if my order was ready and the lady went back and didn't come back for 15 mins only to say about 5 minutes more. Then she came after 5 minutes to hand me the bill and said they're still working on the order. Ended up canceling my order because the other person had said they had been waiting for 25 mins before I got there. Food was excellent. I agree with other reviews on quality of food. The only reason this review isn't rated higher is the "bait and switch" on the menu prices. The in-store menu is different than the to-go menu which is different than what is on their website. When you finally get your bill, the price charged is totally different, i.e. more than any of the other menus. With three separate menus and three different prices for the same item, it's hard to know what the actual price is for the items your order. I asked about it and they said the prices are always changing. As a customer, it's very disturbing with such inconsistencies. I asked if they were planning on fixing the pricing issues; she said no one else notices. The owner doesn't seem motivated or care to have accurate menus or pricing. I will be back because the food is really good, but will ask for the pricing beforehand. If you eat here, be aware of the pricing variations and ask in advance if necessary. read more
