I decided to try their matcha. It tasted wonderful, balancing between sweetness and bitterness. Amazing price, my matcha with double boba was $8. The only complaint was the boba was not chewy but soft. The service was great. Not many seats inside but the store was well organized and decorated. Will come back to try more!
This boba/coffee store is in the Metropole Center Plaza near Hmart so there's plenty of parking (even on the weekend). The inside is clean and has a good amount of seating space. Menu-wise there is so much to choose from and they have a good selection of different matcha drinks. I ended up getting the Banana Matcha Brulee Latte and the White Peach Oolong Tea Latte with Boba. Both drinks were delicious but I would highly recommend the Banana Matcha Brulee Latte- I personally don't really care for bananas but this drink is creamy, smooth, and the sweetness is balanced well with the matcha. The White peach oolong tea latte was also delicious but I got 30% sugar and even with the boba topping, the drink wasn't that sweet so this place is definitely moderate in terms of sweetness which I appreciate. Looking forward to coming back and trying the banana drink again!
Came back to Fuji Tea today and had a perfect experience. I ordered the White Peach Oolong Tea Latte with boba -- and it was spot on. The boba had that perfect chewy consistency, exactly how boba should be. I went with 25% sugar, and it hit the sweet spot -- not too sweet, which I really appreciate. It's hard to find places that get the sweetness level just right, so I'm grateful Fuji does on this drink. Service was quick as always, which I love -- I like to grab my drink and go, and they make that easy every time. I also want to shout out the owner and team for clearly taking customer feedback seriously. It really shows in the consistent quality and attention to detail. This visit brought back the same great vibes I remember from when they first opened.
Honestly one of the most underrated boba shops in Chinatown. The customer service is always so kind, and it's a local business. The shop is chic, and there is a huge variety of drinks on their menu. They have one of the largest menus, ranging from matcha to fruit teas, panna cottas, cheese foams. They also have more niche flavors like osmanthus. Love this place. Always refreshing!
The boba chain with the nicest service! I happened to be in the area for lunch and craved a boba for dessert. Seeing Fuji Tea menu outside as I walked past, I was enticed by the unique selection available. Not knowing the Fuji Tea brand, I thought it was a small mom and pop shop, but upon chatting with the staff, I learned that it has been operating for multiple years with a few different locations. I ordered two drinks to try, and before I received my drink, the manager of the shop realized that I had ordered one of the sweeter drinks that didn't allow for sugar modifications and confirmed whether it was still ok. I hesitated a bit since I do typically lean on my drinks being "not too sweet". Seeing my slight hesitation and before I could respond, the manager offered to still make the drinks but also offered to give me a separate drink for free in case the drink I ordered was too sweet for my liking. I have never seen any boba shop be so generous and accommodating, especially as a first time customer ( not a regular). I was completely blown away by the service and will definitely be returning again. The reason for the four stars is because all three drinks I tasted (two bought and one free) still ended up being on the sweet side even after sugar level modifications. However, the taste combo were quite unique. Maybe it's just that my personal preference is for less sweet or the drinks I ordered weren't the highlights of the tea shop; next time I'll try something different. If you are looking to chill at a boba shop, this could be a new option to add to your list. It was very clean and quiet when I visited. Most folks seem to order for pickup, so plenty of space to sit and chill. The decor is also one of a kind.
Stumbled upon this quaint boba on a Wednesday after lunch, in the same place as a restaurant we were looking to try. We tried the black milk tea with cheese foam combo with 2 mochi nuggets and the roasted oolong tea. The drinks hit the spot after lunch, as the cheese foam was VERY decadent in a good way and the roasted oolong tea wasn't sweet but refreshing to my friend. Small but cute space, reminding me of a tea shop I'd find in NY. Would recommend!
Signature Milk Tea with boba here. Tried coming here for the first time after eating lunch nearby. Good parking spaces- ample amount & tons of places for lunch. Then, boba = good dessert here after. Will definitely come back when visiting Tainan Bistro nearby to try their other teas. They've got clean tables I can work at when I need to get some lesson planning done, etc. and their boba balls are deliciously chewy. Not too hard and not too soft. Just the perfect consistency! No hard centers- like when I attempt to nuke the diy packages at home in the microwave.
Went out to dinner with some friends and decided to get some boba for dessert! I've never been to Fuji tea before, but the friends I was with introduced us to it. They said that this was one of their favorites, so we definitely had to try it out. Service was okay, I deducted a star because the service was sub par, nothing really great about it. The tea is the selling point here. I got the Milk tea with an Oreo cheese foam. It was pretty good, you'll definitely have to mix it tho or else all you'll taste is regular milk tea. My boyfriend got the Tiramasu Milk tea and that was soooo good! If I do go back, this is for sure what I'll get! Overall, it was a decent experience and will definitely be back to try some other teas.
Very cute inside. The employee was nice. I had the super grapefruit tea and the tea flavor was very strong. It overpowered the fruit and left a little after taste. Not bad, just different than what I've had at other tea houses in the area. I'd come back and try something new. I want to try other items on the menu.
The staff was helpful in getting me something I would like for my first time visiting. Plenty of options to choose from on the milk tea or fruit tea side of the menu. I really like the cups too! Having a high quality cup is such and underrated part of a boba tea. Well lit and not overstimulating seating area is nice too. The drinks were good, but the tapioca is better elsewhere sad to say. I'll check other reviews to see if there was a hidden gem I should try next time.
Ordered Jasmine Green Tea w/ boba & Brown sugar boba milk. Shortly after waiting I was told that they were out of boba for my jasmine drink and they only had about half a scoop or less and if I'd like a different topping. Boba is my fave and what I was wanting so I was fine with the last half scoop of boba. The person was super kind and apologetic. The only reason I give less stars is because I think they should've monitored the boba more closely as it gets older and closer to the end because it seems as if the boba had broken down into the sauce making the sauce SO stringy with a weird mucus like texture. It was so unpleasant to drink. We honestly couldn't drink them because of how thick, stringy, sticky and mucus like the boba syrup was.
Fuji tea used to be one of the top choices in our boba rotation, but it is just not the same anymore. I was initially drawn to the shop because of the unique drink options specifically the matcha strawberry, peach cheezo drink, and fruit tea. We usually order through chowbus and for the past few months, I've noticed that we always get the smallest scoop of boba, the tapioca pearls are way too soft, and I don't think I can justify paying over 6 dollars for each drink anymore. read more

With so many tea places in Bellaire, I can see this place being overlooked a lot. For me, what pulled me to this place are the cute cups. Little did I know, coming here I would run into a nice interior decor. Small, but gets the job done. I went with the original milk tea with tapioca to test the waters. Decent. Boba not too chewy, tea not too watered down or bland. But I can't help that it might be too original. Not a bad option to play it safe, but next time I will shoot for the stars with their wide selection of drinks read more

For me, I like my tea to be not too sweet and a solid tea flavor. My two go to are their signature fruit tea and regular milk tea. It's also a plus that parking is plenty in this plaza! read more

Generally wouldn't order a tiramisu with the temps above 100* but the flavor caught my attention. The staff was really sweet, bubbly, and helpful. It's odd to say, but not many places make you feel welcomed and this definitely is a friendly, homey place! The tiramisu was good! Another boba tea spot to add to the others in Chinatown. Interior is clean and aiming to please the hipsters. Drink selection is decent and priced in line with its competitors. The cups are decent quality; definitely helps with the experience and the aesthetic. read more
Cute little shop in a complex next to One Dragon! We were grocery shopping in the area and I was thirsty and wanted something refreshing! I did a search and Fuji Tea came up! I opted for the Lemon Passionfruit Yo-yo and it was delicious. Refreshing, not too sweet, tasted like a fruity lemonade. I enjoyed it! read more

We were out in the morning and wanted to stop for boba on our way home . Unfortunately a lot do the places we were thinking about going were still not open til 11:00am. We have never been to Fuji Tea but they were open and we decided to give Them out business . The place is very clean and welcoming . The two people working the store were very friendly and inviting . They gave us some helpful suggestions and we were very happy with our drinks . We also enjoyed the material the cups were made of . We have never had a drink out of a cup like that so it was pretty cool. ( it's the little things ) this is definitely a place I would like to try again . They have made a new customer . One of the best milk tea/tea shop in Houston. Their tea is brewed freshly! You can adjust sugar and ice levels here . Their cups are adorable. Try any of their signature drinks , can't beat it ! I've came here many times and highly recommend it . Super friendly staff too. read more

Solid boba spot. Reasonably priced with a lot of boba drink options. Their boba syrup is a good level of sweetness- I got 0% sugar and thought it was a nice amount of sweetness. Cups are pretty nice and could be reusable. Definitely a good competitor in the boba world. read more

Fuji tea is tucked away in an authentic Chinatown shopping center. It's clean aesthetic with soft kpop playing in the background is a vibe. Plenty of power outlets available, great staff who make solid recommendations. Pricey spot but the drinks are pretty premium. I got a tiramisu bubble tea that used the house milk tea with brown sugar Boba and a tiramisu cheese foam. It wasn't gimmicky, it was legit. I wanted to try their bubble tea Panna Costas but didn't get the chance. Next time! read more

It's a super authentic bubble tea place! It's not located as close to some of the more popular squares in Bellaire, but I would still frequent this place. I ordered their brown sugar milk tea, and the boba was cooked perfectly. I would come again! read more

I love Fuji Tea! I'm kind of a boba tea fanatic and this place is definitely in the top 5 for me in Houston. They use good quality teas and toppings, a difference you can taste! I like their tea with milk foam the most, and normally get straight up tea (likes peach oolong) and add milk foam while decreasing the sugar to 25% or none so it's not too sweet but still so so good! Easily has become one of my favorite Boba shops in Houston. This shop is very small and cute and doesn't seem like it's a chain but that's part of the appeal. The flavor is very traditional and reminds me of the Boba that I had back in Taiwan. If you're looking for the most traditional milk tea, I would highly recommend this place. My s/o and I can't stop coming here. We've probably already gone through half the menu. But favorites are the Assam milk tea, rose milk tea, and signature milk tea. read more

This is my favorite boba shop in Houston now! Although it's on the pricier side, their drinks taste so fresh and delicious. I recommend getting anything with cheese foam. I cannot say enough good things about their cheese foam. It is life-changing. Pink Peach Cheezo: This drink is a game-changer. Every time I come to Bellaire, I crave this drink. This is the first peach-flavored boba I've gotten that tastes like a real fresh peach, and not syrup. There's even peach chunks in the tea. The peach is perfectly balanced by the cheese foam to create an amazing sweet-salty flavor. Rose Milk Tea with Cheese Foam: The rose flavor of this tea is so uniquely delicious. I can't place what it is, but I love it. The cheese foam is of course amazing. White Peach Oolong Tea: The issue with anything that's not milk tea here is that it's literally tea... as in water boiled with tea leaves. If that's what you want, this is great. But as someone who wanted a sweet dessert drink, I was disappointed by how subtle the peach flavor was, and how watery the drink was overall. read more
Stopped by after running an errand in the area. It's in the building next to Jusgo and has plenty of parking, though it could do with some fixing (it's on the bumpy side). The sign is clear but with the same styling and text, they all sort of blend together, so thank you to Yelp for introducing me to this place. The place looks sparsely decorated (incomplete?) with surprisingly fancy bar stools at the counter. It was fairly busy on a Sunday afternoon, complete with 2 seated parties and a line. Decor is a little on the bare side. Some other reviews mentioned a smell; I didn't detect anything bad but there was a slight whiff of something interesting I couldn't pinpoint through my mask. Half the patrons were masked, half weren't. I was intrigued by a number of their drinks but I soon discovered that some sort of tea making machine wasn't working so half the menu was suddenly off limits. Disappointing, to say the least... on a weekend, no less. We usually go for tea drinks. I ended up getting: - Mango Milk with Coconut Jelly ($5.75): essentially, fresh sweetened mango purée (blended to order) with milk and coconut jelly. It was at 75% sugar and less ice. It tasted like milk with a hint of mango, when mixed. The coconut jelly... where was it?? Quite sparse. For the amount of liquid, they could have easily doubled the jelly I got. I also felt like the mango flavor could be more apparent with the big cup of milk; I'm not sure if the decreased amount of sugar could have been a contributing factor, but I doubt it. Overall, it has potential and though I didn't dislike it, it fell a little short. Perhaps it would have had a better tasting ratio in a smaller size. - Kyoto Matcha with Taro and Boba ($6.25): exactly how it sounds... yummy matcha with sweetened taro purée, and boba. I got this at full sweetness and ice (Because she said the matcha is hot going in). The matcha is your typical earthy matcha with a slight bitterness - not sweetened at all, but I liked it. The taro was perfect (but there could be a little bit more). The boba, like the coconut jelly, could be more, but the little I got was pretty decent in taste and texture. The only problem with this drink is how much you need to mix with your drink so the thick taro is completely combined with the matcha and even then, it's not all that sweet (hence why I think it could do with more taro). This one was my favorite of the two. I feel like I need to come back to try the drinks I originally had my eye on. Luckily, the matcha was one of them, but I went through 3 drinks before I landed on mango milk. I love how they use real ingredients, which might account for the prices. I wasn't asked to specify a size (or maybe I couldn't hear) but I got two large drinks. Not a huge problem; I share drinks with my husband. Including tax, it was $13 for these two. When did boba/drink prices go up?? The second store I went to where TWO drinks equate the price of a full balanced meal for one, including tip. Boba has become a luxury! Haha... So far, I have a moderately good impression. Hopefully it continues and they get that machine fixed for my next visit! read more

Very fresh and flavorful tea but definitely on the more expensive side for boba. I ordered the signature fruit tea and it was packed with real fruit inside but at almost $6 without toppings I don't know if I'll be getting it again. The cup is super cute and I will be keeping and reusing it in the future. read more

The interior of Fuji Tea had a nice modern feel to it. Also had some instagramable places to take pictures for instagram. But when I came in the place had a funky smell to it. Like it was unpleasant smell. The drinks were actually pretty good. I got the white peach oolong tea with boba. It isn't sweet at all with regular sugar level so if you like your drinks to be sweeter I'd go with a higher sugar level. It had bits of white peach in it, so that was a plus. It was small bits that were chewy and sweet. My boyfriend got the grapefruit drink with aloe vera. He didn't really like it since it was a bit too sweet for his taste. But if you like sweet then go for this read more

I ordered the Assam Milk Tea, 75% sweet with boba and cheese foam. It was sooo delicious!! The perfect pick-me-up in this hot weather. The boba is on the softer side just fyi. 75% was the perfect sugar level because the boba adds some sweetness too. I'm usually picky about cheese foam because I've been to places where it wasn't mixed well so I had tiny balls of cream cheese coming up through the straw (yikes) but Fuji knocked it out of the park! We tried this place since it was next door to the restaurant we were eating at. I love their window decal with all the drinks on it. That's what caught my attention. The interior was very clean and nicely decorated. The person that took my order was very kind and patient. She helped me order my drinks. I ordered the white peach oolong milk latte with no boba and a brown sugar milk tea. The peach milk latte was delicious! You can taste the freshness of the fruit. fuji Tea is a famous boba shop from Taiwan that recently opened their first US location in Houston. They have so many different drinks to choose from. I love that they use real fruits only and not powders, tea from Taiwan, and organic cream!!! That's definitely a plus. We got all our drinks at 50% sugar level, and they're perfect for us. Our favorites were the Mango Milk w/ Coconut Pudding, Cheezo Pink Cheese, and Watermelon Passion Fruit Tea. But overall, all their drinks are very refreshing! Really unique drinks and tasty! There's so much competition in Chinatown, it requires stores to be different or innovate! Fuji tea proves to be unique. Drinks: -passion fruit watermelon tea - delicious!! Got it at 75% sugar and it was perfect! -longan milk tea with boba. A unique tea that keeps you guessing! Not sure if we'll order it again but it was definitely different and worth a try! Price: Both drinks costed me $10.50! One was regular sized and the other was small. Ambience: cute place! Recently came across this new boba place thanks to Yelp and Google Map, and decided to give it a try. I got their signature fruit tea and signature sparkling pineapple punch. They're both pretty good, very refreshing for the summer time. My signature fruit tea was 25% sugar and it was still pretty sweet for me, so I definitely reducing the sugar for those who like their drinks too sweet. I prefer the sparkling pineapple punch (50% sugar, for me) because how of bubbly and carbonated it was. Their boba was soft and chewy! The interior is clean and cute. Today we tried @fujitea_us and got a sugar rush that lasted us both a few hours! Fuji tea was good, however SUPER sweet. I recommend you get either 75% or 50% sugar. All three drinks were unbearably sweet. But with less sugar I feel they bring a lot more different flavors compared to other boba spots. read more
