We had a fabulous sushi lunch at Fujiyama! The service was excellent. The vegetables in the salad tasted so fresh. Always enjoy miso soup, this one wasn't my favorite miso but still good. The sushi rolls were so delicious! Very generous portions and tasted amazing. We will be back!

Solid! I will say I enjoyed my time at Fujiyama. My biggest down fall was no yum yum sauce! I truly enjoy Hibachi style food and don't even have to have the experience portion. We did not sit at the big table as there is often a wait for that. However I will say the service at our table was pretty good as our waiter helped us navigate the many options they had. I think it served the craving but not fully blown away. I also am used to a slightly larger portion size of shrimp.

We had a reservation for a hibachi dinner for a birthday celebration. The chef makes it a very fun, interactive experience by flipping broccoli to each person and having them catch in their mouth, pouring sake to everyone individually in their mouths (don't worry, the bottle is still far enough away and doesn't touch), and putting on a cooking show. You can pick your protein and pick if you want noodles or fried rice. It also comes with miso (clear) soup, a ginger dressing salad, 2 shrimp per person, vegetables, and a small cup of ice cream or sherbet. Everyone really enjoyed their meals. They brought the birthday girl a "fancy"chocolate ice cream dessert and balloon hat. The service was excellent during the meal. Constantly removing dirty dishes, refilling drinks. The worst part of the night was we felt very RUSHED to leave. I had taken 2 bites of my meal, and the server came to me with a box asking if I need to pack my leftovers. It was off-putting. We were only there one hour and then the staff was glaring at us, as if they needed our table. I expected to see people lined up waiting when we left, but there was no one. Very confusing. I would, however, recommend for a fun celebration with a group.

Incredible experience overall! The place is clean and the staff is very kind. We made a reservation for the hibachi area for a birthday and had a great experience! The hibachi food comes with salad that's fresh with a nice ginger dressing. Clear soup that's well flavored. And whatever protein and base you requested whether it's rice or noodles. Between the two I highly recommend the noodles as they were seasoned better and the rice seemed a little plain. All the portions were huge! The shrimp, steak, and fish were all great! My husband had and loved those along with the chicken - which was his favorite! They then bring everyone ice cream for dessert that's in a small prepackaged container. It took a couple hours but overall was really fun and the chef made it very interactive for everyone!! They will likely have you sit with people you don't know if your reservation is smaller, which was totally fine for us. Overall great!

If your going to sit at the hibachi table you will need half people eat hibachi and half eat sushi. There was a couple on their website that give 10 percent off and u need to print it to use it. I am out of town and we had to fight to give us 10 percent off. We will order a lot of stuff and they don't give us that discount. We finally got it. The hibachi chef was pretty good and foods came out pretty fast. The sushi and sashimi came pretty fast. However at the end they are like rushing us to leave they gave out the take out box and bags. Probably try another place if i come back here again

We were on the hunt for a later evening dinner spot (8:30ish). My dining companion was in the mood for poke, I was in the mood for soup and maybe sushi--Fujiyama fit the bill for all. Their cocktails are all very sweet/rum based, so I stuck with water. We started the evening with tempura vegetables, which came out piping hot and delish (zucchini, broccoli, eggplant, spaghetti squash, and asparagus). For our main, my dining companion decided to go for sushi over poke (yay!) and we got the love boat for two. It came with fresh salads with ginger dressing (amazing) and miso soup (fine). The love boat was incredibly ample (see the pics) and was plenty for probably 3-4 people. In addition to the assorted sashimi and sushi, it comes with a dragon roll, california roll, and a tuna roll. The salmon was perfect (fresh and beautiful) as was the tuna. I'm not a big fan of escolar (not a fan of oil fish in general). The dragon roll was perfect. The california roll was aok and the tuna roll was by far our least favorite thing on the board (fishy and not really fresh tasting). Our server was attentive and kept our water glasses filled. She was wonderful! Get to it!

I am absolutely disgusted by my experience at Fujiyama. We went there to celebrate my birthday, and instead of having a fun night, the hibachi chef made repeated sexual comments toward me and my girl cousins the entire time. It was inappropriate, unprofessional, and completely disgusting. It was so bad that the family sitting across from us asked if we were okay after he walked away. We didn't speak up because we were uncomfortable and worried about how our food would be handled while he was cooking. I'm posting this because no young group of girls -- especially anyone under 18 -- should ever have to deal with that kind of behavior. I will never be coming back.

I love sushi and this place hits the spot! I love coming here to catch up with friends because it's louder and so we don't have to worry about our own noise level. The service is relatively good. We don't come too often but when we do, we never have anything to complain about. Everything comes out at the same time!

Fujiyama is my parents and I go-to sushi restaurant. We love going here and the service is great. As often as we've gone we have never had a bad experience. This restaurant holds many good memories, birthdays, graduation, and regular dinners with friends and family. While the restaurant holds many good memories the food is delicious and makes the memories even better. I sit at the tables and booths by the sushi station which I love. Seeing the sushi being assembled and then taken directly to your table is a joy.

I got Terrible portion sizes for the meat and I didn't even get a proper hibachi show

Used to be good. Came here recently and got Terrible service. Terrible portions. Everybody at the table had way more portions. Got laughed at when asked for a better portion. Even the rice taste worse. Chef didn't provide a proper hibachi show. Didn't throw the food in the air, didn't crack any jokes. Didn't even speak the whole time other than asking what we ordered. Go to Ninja in Menomonee falls. They will treat you right as apposed to this place. $30 for 4 peices of steak and 4 peices of shrimp stacked on noddles and veggies

Fujiyama makes me happy. The sushi rolls are filled with fresh ingredients and they are BIG. Service is kind and fast. My favorite rolls are tuna, spicy tuna, Philadelphia, and shrimp tempura. Their soup and salads are good. Hibachi area is fun if you're in the mood to sit with strangers. This is my favorite place to get take-out sushi from. They've made a few mistakes here and there, but all in all, they do a great job!

The least pleasant part of it was the manager, Belinda, who needed convincing to let our mother and father go upstairs and sit down comfortably before the rest of our party arrived. We were only waiting for a few more people, and our mother has a lot of health problems and was walking with a walker. Belinda's attitude was unhelpful, though she eventually relented and let our mother go upstairs and sit at the table. How charitable of her. Most of the people in our party were vegan. Our sister called and spoke with the restaurant several days before we arrived and was assured it would be easy to order vegan. Wouldn't you know: Belinda was the person who came to the table to find out if there were any food restrictions. We made it simple: no butter. What we got was the most annoying attitude possible: a long rambling speech about the different policies of the restaurant, with all of us listening and looking at each other in awe of the needless ranting with no understanding of what it's like to deal with people in a positive way. Really...just don't use butter. Food was average. Windows to the outside with filthy. Benihana is usually better. Guaranteed that there is a better hibachi experience in the Milwaukee area. The sign that I posted to this review tells the whole story: you are treated as if everyone is annoyed to have you there, so stick to the rules.

The food was great, beginning with our appetizers and ending with our hibachi chef who brought his A-game (and a thrilling little sake squirter- naughty naughty!). The father of the family next to me notably took two tries to catch his airborne broccoli while his wife waved off the attempt from the chef entirely, but I (unlike past reviewers) would never dock a stable for its individual horses. Their younger kid did ask her parents if "they showered together" right as the hibachi chef came out- that rocked. Our daughter got a kick out of the whole situation, although the initial fire start did scare the bejeezus out of her. She particularly loved the egg in the hat trick. The ambiance? Great, totally happening even for a 6pm reservation on a Saturday night. The food? Great, and ample. We brought three boxes home. The staff? Practically family. Will I be bringing the family back? Yes. Did it take a little bit of time for my second drink to come? Yes, but you know what, that was probably for the best. Long live Samurai

We were really hungry, and I was eager to try a variety of what Sake House had to offer, so we ordered more than we normally would for a standard outing. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were told the wait for hibachi would be quite pretty long, so we opted for the non-hibachi menu. I'm not big on sushi, so I chose to get Chinese, which, didn't seem like too much of a stretch given the Chinese lions outside the front doors. To get started I ordered their calamari, which resembled Kopp's onion rings with the texture of Haribo gummy worms that were in a bag "closed" by a three year old and left out for weeks. If you've never experienced that, it means like rubber, and when you try to rip a bite away with your canines, the onion ring coating crumbles all over the place. Nice! After about a 40-45 minute wait later the food arrived. The servings were huge, but that's where the fun ended. I ordered sesame chicken, but what was placed in front of me was hella orange, not only in color but flavor. I informed my waiter that they mistakenly served me orange chicken, but good old David, the waiter, informed me that even though it tasted like orange chicken, in no way could it be because it had sesame seeds on it. Ok cool, throwing sesame seeds on anything doesn't make it sesame. After a few back and forths with David and the manager, they insisted sesame chicken is the same as orange chicken, and general Tso's chicken but with sesame seeds. Hmmm, since I've cooked sesame chicken and general Tso's chicken myself (Made with Lau, look his videos up on YouTube) I knew sesame chicken includes sesame oil, which was not at all present alongside the orange flavor. You would think that makes sense, but good old David let me know that in none of his stints as a Chinese food chef, all across the country, did the sesame chicken recipe call for sesame oil. I wonder where the name came from then, sesame seeds? I can't believe they were so set against being wrong that they would argue there is no sesame oil in sesame chicken, and presumably that sesame chicken should taste like orange chicken, minus the orange zest. If you decide to visit Asiana, heed my warning and stay away from the Chinese food. Don't be fooled by the inclusion of the Chinese lions, and stick to the Japanese theme, since my brother did enjoy his sushi. 2 stars only because the rest of the group had decent meals. Just avoid any Chinese chicken dish.
