Food was delicious and fresh, went on a Friday around 4:30 and no crowd, great service

So this review is more like a 4.5. This was some of the best sushi I have had on Long Island. It's actually such good sushi and presented very nicely. The prices here for sushi are very reasonable especially for the quality of sushi it's for. Our waitress was also very nice and good. As shown in the photos (they gave us 6 pieces for each roll I was just quick to eating them before taking the picture ) me and my mom shared the Spider-Man Roll, the Crazy Roll and spicy tuna, salmon and yellowtail rolls. All was very good. Only reason this places loses .5 is because of its ambiance. I feel that it had so much potential and can be fixed so easily. First off the background music needs to be rethought. It's like covers of pop music of artists like Justin Bieber, Nicki Minaj, Taylor Swift etc. and it has kind of a sad melody to it and I don't know how to really explain it other than it was of uncomfortable from how over powering it was and didn't match the vibe of a sushi restaurant. However I don't think that means the regular versions of these songs should be played. Rather I think maybe stick to Japanese roots and play tradition or modern Japanese background music that isn't so over powering. Lastly I believe maybe dim the lights a little this could just be a personal preference but I prefer sushi restaurants to have that dimmed lighting and colorful light pattern interior. I'm telling you that these changes will bring in serious crowds because the food doesn't need to be changed because it's phenomenal. I would say Fukee is the number one sushi restaurant if your just looking to go out for a last minute dinner don't feel like getting all dressed up and want to just enjoy some good sushi! read more

Beautiful and clean place. When you walk in after being there one time they know you, your name, what you ate and drank and treat you and your family like kings and queens. We go with our two daughters and they always treat us right. Food is delicious and fresh. They are always offering to make special items, do yourself a favor and try them, you will not be disappointed!. We love tyre crispy onion roll, avocado roll, spicy tuna, the soups are great and the alcoholic beverages spot on!. I've gone to restaurants where cocktails are inconsistent each time, not here!. Don't know really where to start, I been eating here for years even before it was fukee and it was Izumi under different owners . The food that they provide at fukee is absolutely amazing . The quality, the hospitality, the cleanliness of this restaurant is out standing. I am so happy and proud to see this restaurant grow. Recently I moved to Pennsylvania and always my first stop to eat here in Longisland is fukee . The owners, the chef really remember you, care for you . And hope you have An amazing experience . If you are looking for the best sushi/sashimi place, this is the one. I never post reviews. This restaurant has the freshest fish that we have had in years. Equivalent to a New York City sushi restaurant. Eat in, or take out they have have been consistent four times consecutively. You will not be disappointed. I ordered dinner and Went to picked it up on Christmas Day. This is my first time ordering from them. Everything we had are delicious. I ordered tempura appetizers, edamame, beef negimaki is my favorite appetizer. They made them really great, almost crispy on both side of the steak and still juicy inside. Then my kids had 2 clear soup , 2shrimp tempura roll And 3 California roll. Kids are very happy with food. Then I got myself sashimi for diner. Everything is on point. My husband and I live in the area and decided to give this place a try on a Friday night. We entered into an unnecessarily bright room which added to the awkwardness of waiting at an empty host table for a host to greet us. Nevertheless the friendly host finally arrived and seated us immediately, it was all downhill from here. The service was painfully slow because all the tables were taken and there wasn't nearly enough waiters, 1 or 2 only. When the waiter finally arrived with food- it was something we did NOT order, it was a consolation appetizer for the fact that our food was taking so long. I ordered a soup appetizer which never came, neither did they apologize. The table of 6 people right next to us seemed to have been receiving exceptional service compared to our empty table, with the waiter checking in on them frequently and me having to catch the waiter's attention to request a glass of water. The waiter brought us water filled mostly with ice in a sticky beer glass mug, without a straw. I had to go look around for a straw myself. The sushi rolls were average but due to our hunger levels, we ate what we ordered. Needless to say, we will not be back. read more

American dream roll, 107 Roll, Sweatheart roll, avocado dumpling (I think that's what it's called), Vegetable gyozas, Rock'n Shrimp, and so many other fresh and flavorful rolls. This is the best sushi restaurant I ever went to and it is my go to place. The prices are great, and the food will make you fall off your chair! You pay only a few dollars more for lunch compared to Chinese takeout and the food is very fresh, tasty, and healthy with satisfying portions. Chicken teriyaki bento is all white meat, with fresh broccoli. Even the rice is fresh! Very little oil used here. This is my new favorite chinese/Japanese takeout place!!!
