Sat at the bar, watched the Sushi chef's prepare our meal. Greeted at the door and we were asked where we would like to sit. Nice music in the background and comfortable temperatures! Appetizer spicy edamame. Salmon teriyaki and sushi rolls. Just perfect.

In a nook and cranny which is surprising long is a restaurant and Sushi place called Fukee in Bethpage. I'm told that is been there 6 years. I ordered AAC vegetable sushi. They have tasty onion soup but I think they garnish it with mushroom shreds on the top. The beef appetizers of Negimaki had 4 small rolls. Everything was made fresh.

My favorite sushi spot in the neighborhood. Their rolls are just excellent and the quality of everything is fantastic. I love how the rolls are warm and you can tell everything is prepared slowly as I've seen my rolls perfectly cut and never sloppy. These rolls never fall apart. Parking is pretty easy here so it's very quick picking up your order. They have killer sweet potato rolls here as well that my husband is just obsessed with.

Fukee is one of those spots you could easily walk right past... but it's unapologetically my favorite sushi spot. Cozy, lowkey, and the perfect impromptu date night every time.I should probably know the staff's names by now (sorry!) but they always remember us and take care of us like regulars. We've even gotten surprise apps on the house more than once. If you know, you know. It's not flashy, but it never disappoints. Forever my go-to.

Wow. Let's just start with that. If I could give 6 stars, I would. We went to Fukee because we were going to be in the area and saw the reviews were good. Man, we're they right. We went in and were the first customers of the day. There are a handful of booths and tables. Very plain decor which works well because the food does all the talking. Our waitress, who we suspect is one of the owners, was very attentive even when more people can in. She even started us off with a piece of spicy tuna and salmon. The sauce was a little sweet. The fish was buttery and melted in you your mouth. My wife had the Chirashi and I had the sushi/sashimi combo. She asked for it without shrimp and crab. I was very surprised it wasn't the same fish at every other place we have been to. I asked to substitute the California roll with a peanut avocado. We were started with miso soup and salad. The dressing was the typical ginger dressing. It was good. The soup had a different kind of seaweed. It had more texture so you knew you were eating it. We both enjoyed it a lot. They substituted for her shrimp and crab with a bunch of different "white" fish. She loved her meal. Mine was fantastic. You call tell the quality of ingredients they put into. We also ordered The Magical Roll which has spicy tuna, avocado topped w. eggplant & sweet miso glaze. So delicious! Last but not least was the Tiger Roll spicy tuna top w. tuna, slamon, yellowtail, crunch & served with special sauce. So good. Can't wait to try more on our next visit.

Fukee is one of my favorite take-out spots. I enjoy their veggie lomein 10/10. Their chicken dishes are phenomenal because it's not dry when i get it . I would definitely recommend the general tso && sesame chicken 10/10. Also tried their mango cosmo , refreshing.

I just happened to be hungry and on the mood to try a new place when I came about this place, the place it self is clean and the staff was excellent, the chicken dish I had was good, but nothing that I would say that I have to come back to eat again, and so was the seafood dish, I will come back tho, I liked the service and I know there's other things on the menu that I want to try, am sure something there will be excellent

Came here with a friend for lunch. We both started with a mango cocktail. It was tasty, not too sweet. I ordered a kani salad to start. It was flavorful, but had more cucumber than kani. For my sushi roll, I had the cherry blossom roll. It had salmon, avocado tempura, and it was topped with salmon, eel sauce and spicy Mayo. It was fresh and delicious. My friend ordered the Hicksville roll. It had tuna, salmon, avocado and it was topped with tuna. It was cold inside. Our waitress didn't really come back to check on us.

This spot is pretty close to me located in Bethpage. The sushi and sashimi here are amazing quality, something rare to find in Long Island. The owners and chefs are also gems, they are super friendly and nice once you get to know them. Not to mention they are also super hard working. The ambiance of the place is pretty open and super clean. Really like this place to come with the family and friends.

***INDO-CHINESE FLAVOR BOMB IN YOUR MOUTH*** ***SUPER…read moreFRIENDLY FAMILY-RUN RESTAURANT*** INDO-CHINESE? In the early 1800's a large number of Chinese citizens, immigrated to Calcutta, a city in the northern part of India, close to China. After becoming established, many of these immigrants started opening restaurants to support themselves. And then, because of a lack of certain ingredients, and to tailor the food to the palates of the Indian citizens, these Chinese chefs altered their recipes. And these new recipes, incorporated certain Indian spices, and a heavier use of spices and sauces - which made these new style dishes especially appealing - and created what is known today as Indo-Chinese, or Indian-style Chinese food. MASTER CHEF MIKE TENG Mike Teng, son of Hakka Chinese parents, was born and raised in India. He started cooking at 14, and eventually became a head chef preparing Indo-Chinese food in Mumbai. Then in 1984, he emigrated to the US and worked in the restaurant industry, until he became executive chef at the famous Jade Eatery & Lounge in Forrest Hills Queens. And it was here that he became notorious for his unique cuisine, and went on to receive numerous accolades. A DIFFERENT APPROACH After seven years of grueling work at Jade, Mike decided to take a break from the restaurant industry for a while. Then in 2019 he opened Teng's Restaurant, and set up operations in a way that would minimize work. As such, the restaurant would only open for dinner, between 4-11 PM, and there would be minimal table service. So let me explain how this works: You sit down at a table, and a friendly family member takes you order and helps with recommendations if necessary. And then you grab paper plates & cups, and plastic utensils from a shelf by the front counter. There's also a refrigerator here with drinks to choose from. And then the food is served to you at the table in take-out style containers. THE KEY TO ORDERING HERE There are a relatively large number of items on the menu, but most of the dishes can be broken down into a few different styles, such as Hakka Chili, Manchurian, Salt And Pepper, Orange, Szechuan, Basil, Kung Pao, and Ginger & Scallion. And the key to ordering here is to avoid choosing multiple dishes in the same style, as the meal & flavors can become one-note in nature. But if your vigilant, and pick some of the best items from each style, you will be rewarded with an Indo-Chinese flavor bomb in your mouth. FIRST TIME? GIVE THESE A SHOT So a few recommendations to try on a first visit, if you're able to enjoy spicy foods would be: - Hakka Chili Style Chicken or Beef - Salt and Pepper Style Fish Filets or Chicken - Orange Chicken or Kung Pao Chicken - Manchurian Style Fish or Chicken - General Tso's Chicken or Tofu - Ginger and Scallion Chicken - Szechuan Wontons or Momos - Orange Glazed Wings or Hakka Chili Wings - Basil Fried Rice - Hakka Noodles And here's a few vegetable recommendations: - Manchurian style Cauliflower or Salt and Pepper Cauliflower - Szechuan Potato or Potato with Black Bean Sauce - Spicy Stir Fried String Beans. - Mapo Tofu - Manchow Soup with or without meat YOU'RE PROBABLY GONNA LOVE THIS PLACE After many visits here with dozens of different people, I've noticed first-timers always react the same way when trying one of chef Teng's best dishes. Their eyes open wide, and the head starts slowly shaking side-to-side, and then I hear grunts of mmm! or wow! I mean really, it never fails to be a wonderful surprise for everyone. But don't get me wrong, not everything on the menu is a home run. For example, some of the Asian fusion dishes such as Pad Thai or Mango Chicken are just weird. So even though there are some things to overlook here, such as no lunch service, or the cafeteria style vibe, If you choose some of the chef's best dishes, for sure that flavor bomb is going to hit you right in the mouth, and you'll definitely be coming back here for more. I always do.

Noodles on point, shrimp wonton soup excellent, and the shrimp with broccoli entree was pretty good too (albeit a little heavier than I anticipated). Our dissatisfaction came from the service. INCREDIBLY slow given the restaurant wasn't packed. It took an unacceptable amount of time from when we sat down to when our waiter even arrived, and even longer to get the complimentary noodles and tea. Even when we finally placed our order, it took over 30 minutes for a couple of appetizers and 4 entrees, one of which they got wrong... and what was probably most irritating is that the staff spent more time and attention cleaning a table that just finished eating, rather than attending to diners still in the restaurant. And it was after 8pm when they close at 9, it wasn't like another party was coming in for that table. I love this place man, but ya gotta be better.

I ordered the chicken pad see ew, beef red curry, chicken satay, and basil chicken. Tried to hit every meat group. Next time gotta try the fish The Chicken Pad See Ew was a standout. Wide rice noodles with that perfect chewy texture and beautiful wok hei char. The savory-sweet soy-based sauce coated everything perfectly, and the mix of tender chicken and juicy pieces made it incredibly satisfying. The Beef Red Curry was rich and aromatic with a luscious coconut milk base. The red curry paste had great depth. There was layers of lemongrass, galangal, and spices. The beef was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the bamboo shoots, bell peppers, and Thai basil were fresh and plentiful. I loved how it had a nice kick that built up without overpowering the dish. The Chicken Satay came out perfectly grilled with beautiful char marks. The chicken was juicy and marinated well, and the peanut sauce on the side was creamy, nutty, and addictive. Finally, the Basil Chicken delivered that classic Thai street-food flavor. Plenty of fragrant holy basil, lots of garlic, and just the right amount of chili heat. The chicken was tender with great texture, and it paired amazingly with jasmine rice. Everything arrived hot, fresh, and beautifully presented. The portions were very generous too -- we had plenty of leftovers for the next day. As my son would say "10 out of 10!" but since we are on yelp, we'll have to settle with a 5.
