Was here recently. The people who work here and the owner are really really nice and make every effort to be accommodating. That makes it tough for me to write this, because they make for a very nice overall experience. I had Chicken Sorrentino, w/a side of pasta with Vodka Sauce and a Caesar Salad. Let's start with the good. The Caesar Salad was excellent and so was the fresh bread brought to the table. The Chicken Sorrentino was just not very good. Sloppy presentation, just not very tasty. The pasta was overdone, in spite of a request for Al Dente. And the Vodka Sauce was extremely bland. They were busy so maybe that was part of it although I don't think that should be an excuse. I truly wish them well. Just a very mediocre meal at best. read more

Usually we avoid trying a new place for a birthday or anniversary, but we had a generous gift certificate, and we'd heard consistently wonderful things, so we bit the bullet and reserved for the night of Donna's birthday. It was a spectacular success. We started with the cauliflower appetizer, which was as enormous as it was delicious. Birthday girl got the chicken rotini, which was generous, tender and perfectly spiced. I got the pasta in pink sauce with shrimp and scallops. Our waiter Fernando was a total gem. My review is based on a delivery experience. I cannot believe all these positive reviews - the food was absolutely awful. Arancini were sour, chicken noodle had no flavor, chicken cordon blue was soaked in a sauce / gravy with mushrooms which made it soggy and it tasted disgusting. Side pasta was an overcooked blob, steamed broccoli was terrible. And not to mention they forgot to deliver a whole pasta dish- maybe it was for the best as I was offered to come pick it up after paying over $100 for this underwhelming experience. Had the pleasure of dining at Elisa's last week after hearing several good things about the restaurant. Our party of 5 were there on a Thursday night which happens to be the Wine Specials evening (half price bottles of wine). We ordered one bottle for the table. Upon completion, we ordered another bottle and was told by out waiter he did not think they had any left. The owner then came over and offered us a higher priced bottle at the lower price (great move on his part). The food was outstanding. We shared the eggplant rollatini, roasted cabbage and blueberry meatballs. Loved the variety and not just the same old Italian staples. Our entrees ranged from pasta to fish to veal and chicken. Again, everything was fantastic and portions were nicely sized. Service and food get an A+. Look forward to returning in the near future. read more

I was not a fan of the food here. Much better places in the area. The charcuterie appetizer was unimpressive. Thick slices of mortadella and some inferior quality prosciutto and nothing appealing on the platter. I ordered shrimp fradiavlo, and the sauce had a very overpowering flavor to it. Someone in our party ordered an individual pizza and the bottom was completely black and burnt. I will not be going back. read more

For my birthday this year my family took me to Elisa's in Bellmore. It was a wonderful experience and I would go again The food was excellent, well prepared and the menu was quite diverse. Our service was helpful especially considering our (then) 10 months old grandson was more interested in tossing the plate as opposed to eating what was in it. The online ordering is a horror show. The food is tasteless. Linguini with red clam sauce--couldn't taste any clams. No red sauce... watery pieces of chopped tomato. No flavor at all. Service was excellent with wait staff we've known for years. We had duck pate, Christmas salad, clams oreganato, stacked portobello mushrooms, chicken cordon bleu, linguine and clam sauce, tuna, salmon pasta with top shelf beverages!!! This past Saturday night for the first time I went into Alyssa's restaurant which was recommended by a friend. We were a table for four and sat down immediately on our reservation that we placed. The service were very attentive specially our server on our table. I had the chicken rollatini and the chef came out of the kitchen walking the floor I stopped them and told him this was the best chicken rollatini but I've never had. The chicken was nice and soft and tasty the spinach was marinated perfectly in their special white sauce. I had a side order of broccoli which was in the garlic sauce that was stupendous. My wife had the veal parmesan very thin sizeable portion very tasty. My other two friends husband and wife they have meals they express positivity on each one. The ambiance is very simple and comfortable. My only concern is it's a little too loud with the acoustics. But that will not dissuade me from coming back again with other friends and family read more

Blueberry meatballs may not be traditional Italian cuisine, but it works. 5 small delicious meatballs in a blueberry port wine reduction... now you get it. The friend Zucchini was golden delicious and enough to feed 8 people. My 2014 Barolo paired perfectly with the Lamb osso bucco, which was on point. Fall-off the bone tender, savory, meaty, flavorful. Vegetable oreganatta should be your side of choice; flavorful and not overcooked. The food was excellent. There is nothing to remotely complain about. Can't wait to go again. Great neighborhood family owned italian restaurant. It always so enjoyable eating at Eliza's. Chef makes great food and always has great specials to choose from each night. We started we baked clams and needed to ask for more bread to soak up all that delicious sauce. We both decided on pasta for dinner and both were great choices. I went with pasta rollo which was rolled up fresh lasagna. After seeing similar dishes online I always wanted to try it glad they had it and it was delicious. My wife enjoyed her pasta with chicken & broccoli. Since it was Tuesday they have pasta night and both dishes came with a nice salad. read more

We came here during not too long ago. The restaurant had outdoor seating in the tent available to accommodate for the COVID-19 safety protocols. In addition to the menu they had several daily specials which also sound just as appetizing. One of the specials was a fig crostini with a balsamic vinegar reduction and goat cheese which was great overall with a sweet and tangy flavor. We also ordered entrees. My husband got the chicken franchese and I got the Penne Villa pasta that had baby scallops and shrimp in a pink sauce. Both tasted good, but could of had more seasoning to elevate the complexity of the flavor. Just an addition of fresh herbs would had made the dishes better. Service was good here. Our waiter made sure we had everything we needed during our lunch. I wouldn't say it's the best Italian place in town, but they are worth a go. read more

Just finished dinner here. the parking is a bit of a challenge but they have added spots in a business next door. we didn't have reservations and waited under 10 minutes for a table. it appears they cater to a lot of regulars but we didn't feel left out. our server christian was very pleasant and friendly. it has an interesting menu with unusual options for italian restaurant but also has the usual american italian staples. portions were good. very nice dessert menu too read more

Started off with the blueberry meatballs and the special portobello mushroom stack. Both were delicious. I ordered the gnocci special, which was in a cream sauce with spinach , tomatoes, and onions . The gnocci were probably one of the best I have had. They were like soft pillows others ordered the Nonnas Pasta with meatballs and sausage. Spinach salad as well. We were able to make a reservation to sit outside on a Sunday late afternoon. The outdoor dining set-up is nice, under a large tent; one side is more enclosed but there were fans to circulate the air. Our waiter was just lovely, not only was he attentive, but very appeasing to my young niece who was talking his ear off every time he came by. Based on the food, I don't know that I would return. I wouldn't consider the food bad, but just kind of fine. We ordered some apps for the table; the tomato/mozzarella salad was good and standard. The special crunchy green beans with an aioli were very tasty. I got excited about the artichoke hearts oreganata, however once I tasted them, I realized they were jarred pickled artichokes, which just didn't work as an organata IMO. On to the entrees. I ordered the veal parmigiana with a side of linguine with garlic and oil. The veal was cooked well with a nice amount of mozzarella cheese. The sauce was kind of one note....almost didn't seem homemade. The linguine was good, but a bit on the salty side. The Seafood Fra Diavola, had a nice amount of seafood, but again just didn't bring the flavors you'd expect. All in all service was quick and friendly, but the food, wasn't up to the same standards. read more
