I have to take my bike somewhere else to have the transmission repaired for what they did at full throttle.

I've been wanting to find a more economical alternative to an HD dealership. I recognize that FTM will not offer the same level of service since it is much more economical. I contacted them (Tommy) through Text earlier this week and asked for a price to perform a 5,000 mi service on my 2022 HD Fat Boy. I was told $350 I said that I thought that would include Synthetic and he did not say no. He said he could "add the synthetic". . this is a yes it's included to me unless he tells me how much additional it would be. He did not. Tommy offered me a non stock Oil Filter for an additional amount of $129 and I declined requesting only the stock option. I arrived at the agreed time intending to wait as agreed. He tried to upsell me on the non-stock option oil filter which I had already declined. He showed me the synthetic oil that he intended to use, still not mentioning increased cost over what we discussed and I attempted to clarify by text. He said he was sending me an estimate before he started work but did not send it until they were almost finished and I reminded him that he said he was sending me an estimate (over an hour before this time). Instead he sent me an invoice and this is when I discovered the price discrepancy. But, it was too late..... I paid it rather than argue (my bike and FOB were in his hands and his reply to my clarification request was vague and not complete. I then had to inquire about two things that he said he would include - 1) inspection for a noise in my front fork, 2) to buff out a smear on my tank. The above raises questions for me about business ethics as well as a tendency to persist on upselling and also their follow through on what he agreed to do - including syn price, buffing of small area of tank and checking a noise in the fork. He did not react to any of this until I reminded him. I was marginal on using his services again when I left but what happened later quashed any interest in reutilizing his services. I went to the HD Dealer to have my bike washed and after leaving it with the tech they informed me that the cover of my throttle body area was hanging by one screw (not four). Yes, I didn't inspect my bike before leaving FTM.... But I just paid someone to do that, right? So, I recommend that you steer clear of this guy unless you're going to check his work and get an estimate before you allow them to start work.... maybe even before you do. Make it a detailed estimate, not just a bottom line. The above represents my opinion. You may differ. read more

Brought my 2021 Road glide to Full Throttle for an S&S 128 big bore kit. Tommy is very knowledgeable of Harley motors and always very commutative when working on your motorcycle. What more can you ask for is someone to know exactly what needs to be done. I've been to a few shops now and I can say Tommy is at the top of the list for me. Along with having his own dyno machine, this is one stop shop for any work that needs to be done. If you want feel comfortable leaving your motorcycle with someone it's definitely gonna be Tommy. Called today to see how much a firearm transfer would cost. I'm not talking DROS or taxes, just the use of their FFL 07. Mind you, there are NO consumables in this equation. I was quoted $100.00! If you're in the 209 or even if you're not local I highly recommend going out your way to have Tommy and JJ wrench on your bike. I'm a disabled rider that requires an auto clutch set up to stay on 2 wheels because of a paralyzed left arm. I bought an auto clutch set up but wasn't advised by the manufacturer on how you're supposed to ride at high rpm all the time to keep the clutch engaged well I burned out the set up took it to Tommy he built me a lock up clutch set up like he does for his drag bikes, did the research to make sure it would not fail on me and his set up worked way better than the manufactured one I bought. My pops takes his bike there too over taking it to Mitchell's HD because Tommy is reputable and does great work. read more

I don't have much good to say about this shop. I had my bike there on an insurance claim repair and 3 months and almost 9 grand later there was no sense of urgency (my bike sat in the shop over a month before it was even touched), no communication unless initiated by me and corners cut in many areas. Parts were replaced with used items when I was told they were new and Tommy increased the labor hour rate on his final invoice so that he didn't have to refund me any money. Also, many of my old parts were not returned to me that I could have resold. I wanted to like this place but they do not do good business here. It gets 1 star because 0 isn't an option. read more

I have been dealing with Full Throttle for a couple years now and once again Tommy came through for me. Bike wouldn't start and they got it started. I don't know how much time they spent working on it but he refused to charge me. So I gave him a tip and a big thank you and went home. The last time they worked on my bike they worked until 7:30 pm to get me on the road. And only charged me half of what he could have. I took my 02 Road King in with a catastrophic motor failure. Tommy and crew got right on it, gave me several options and recommendations for a fix. Ultimately decided on a new S&S 111 motor. Due to an unfortunate mistake by an employee (failing to put oil in the crankcase of my Suzuki 650) the engine seized during my first ride. I called the owner, Tommy, at once. Although it was Saturday, his busiest day of the week, he dropped everything and drove to my house to look at the bike. Without denial of any kind, he went right to work to make this awful situation right. It just happened that he had the same bike on consignment on his sales floor that was a year newer and had just 700 miles on the odometer. He worked with the bike's owner and made a deal with me to trade my now ruined bike for the newer one. We agreed on a fair price difference since the bike he had was newer and had less miles. Within a few days, Tommy had the deal done, all the DMV paperwork complete (and he paid the fees). And I headed down the road with a newer, better motorcycle. Took the bike in for a simple fix. To make a long story short, I had to bring the bike back twice and the problem was never fixed. On top of that, it sat in the shop for several weeks waiting on parts. I took it to another shop and the problem was easily identified and fixed quickly. read more

Before I went here, I had heard nothing but awesome things about this shop, and I am surprised there are so few yelps bringing the stars back to where they belong. Tommy's customer service was amazing. He's full of excitement and really listens to you to give you exactly what you're looking for. He totally worked around my schedule as he came in on his off day to pull my bike into the shop on a day the shop was closed. Next day service, he got me back on the road when I was short vehicles. Great attitude, great service, highly recommended. He stayed way past his hours of operation just to finish my bike. You can tell a family owned business by the care they have for their customers.
