Found this place via google. Yes they do allow dogs, but sign says must be on leash. Only saw one other dog around park. I think I said everything in my check in. And heres plenty of parking. Not sure if you should go here alone there, it seems a little iffy with all the guys around. 2 Stars because of safety.

That's quite a lot to offer the community and still be in pretty decent shape. It's probably not always the safest area but it's not that bad. I come here for the racquetball courts. There are 4 courts which cost $10 per hour and there is even a balcony where you can watch the games down below. That's pretty cool but it sucks that if you try to hit off of the back wall your ball may go to another court so be careful. The floors and walls are in good condition and taken care of. I've actually seen a lot worse. They even have little lockers outside of the courts so you aren't tripping over anything while on the court. I just wish the hours were more flexible for the courts. Right now I believe they are open until 9 M-Th, 6:30 on Fri/Sat, and closed Sundays. (53/100)

Also, large fields for competition games, clean and modern restroom facilities and rolling hills, trails, and a manicured landscape. Parking is near the outlets leading to the home tracks, and in addition, the trails are inclusive to the olinda oil and museum trail located to the Noth west of the park. For young people to older people, from walkers to joggers and bikers to skaters, there are so many opportunities. A strong 4.0 to 4.5 park.

I remember doing an Easter egg hunt here as a kid decades ago. A Gaudi-like organic structure dominates the park and you can walk from one end to the other. Whoever designed this made something truly special, you'll see in the layout of the park and on some of the details like the retention walls and path to the basketball court. This is a cool local secret, I come about once a year when visiting my parents and it's always empty in the early morning. Love this place and hope others discover how awesome it is.

Bathrooms are clean enough and decently well stocked. Parents can grab a seat on one of many benches and there is good visibility as the kids run from area to area. There are baby and regular swings, and one big flat disk that you can lay down on. There are also spider web ropes for climbing. The softball fields are great for running the bases in between games, or flying a kite in the outfield. We tend to come in the evenings when it's cold so we haven't had a chance to use the splash pad but the structures in the area are still available for climbing. Solid choice for running off some kid energy.

The open fields, walking areas, and places to sit don't cost anything at all, which makes it easy to relax and have fun without needing a plan. I didn't realize how much there was to enjoy until I walked around and saw how naturally welcoming the park feels. It surprised me how comfortable it was to just be there without feeling rushed. Even though it's just a community park, it gives teenagers a great place to hang out, take pictures, play sports, or just be creative outdoors. I only visited La Mirada Community Park one time in my life before making this review, but it ended up being one of the most relaxed and youthful places I've been to in a long time. I never doubted that the experience would turn out the way I hoped it would. I've lived for 24 years, but in the summer of 2024 I learned that I'm still physically and mentally 18 years old, and that my prefrontal cortex is more developed than the average 25‑year‑old's. Maybe that's why I connect so much with places that feel playful and full of energy. I would highly recommend that teenagers go to this park because it gives them a fun, open space to enjoy themselves and feel creative.
