Morales Skate Park is an absolute gem. My 13 year old daughter has been wanting to learn to skate, so we purchased her a board for Christmas. We booked a private lesson with Fred and he is amazing, patient and thorough. She has never skated before, didn't know foot placement, etc... Fred worked with her and by the end she has proper balance, understands skating concepts, proper stance, balance, eye placement and finished by being able to go back and forth in the pipe. Awesome skate spot . U rent it for a couple of hours for only120.00 with five other skaters and you and your crew of skaters have a perfect bowl all to yourselves. This ramp is a rare and hidden gem in the transition world of Southern California. One of the smoothest, nicest ramps i've ever skated, I love getting off work and heading over to skate, its a great refuge for old dudes like me who maybe doesn't want the attention of everyone at the public skatepark! I got the urge to get back on my skateboard after 15 or 20 years off, so i bought a board and started going to the skateparks and cruising around. I was interested in riding transitions and ramps now that I'm older, and heard about Fred and his private ramp through yelp actually, So I made an appointment and headed over almost instantly, he gave me a tour and i was hooked. Fred's givin' me some private lessons, and ive been going to his ramp once or twice a week for the last 4 or 5 months, I've gone from being unble to pump a mini ramp to dropping in on the combi pool, kick turning, cess slides, slashing grinds - Its a blast to feel 20 years young again and shredding it up. If you're looking to get into skating after a long break, this is the ramp to do it, it's got skatelite, its beautiful and smooth, blast some slayer and skate. I've seen fred work wonders with kids, I've even had my little sister take lessons from him, he is absolutely patient, talented and amazing. read more

I heard about this spot through other skaters in the area. It appeals to me because it's a controlled space that isn't packed with other skaters. (translated - I don't have to feel judged by 12 year olds) You can use your time there to build confidence and work on skills. Fred is amazingly patient. He's spent years helping people learn how to skate so he can immediately see what needs work and how to help you. The atmosphere is chill and super friendly no matter who is in there. Such a rad spot! Two halfpipes: a fun, quick little mini, and a nice, long 5.5ish foot tall halfpipe with a great mellow transition. Fred is a great guy, he clearly loves skating, and it's infectious. His instructions are simple and spot on, and have helped make me a better, more confident skater. I just had my first skate lesson today and had the greatest time. I am a 38 year old who is afraid ( intimidated ) to ride at local skateparks as a beginner. I did a one on one lesson with Fred. He was amazing. I have skated many times before but I never progressed. I was making multiple silly errors which were holding me back. I told Fred what my problems were and I skated out of there conquering them all. Skating always makes me happy ( even when I wasn't progressing) , I had such an amazing time. Such a great facility! One of the best mini ramps in Orange County. Fred (owner) couldn't have been more accommodating. What a great place to brush off the cob webs and break out some of the old tricks you used to do as a kid and more(coming from an old man). Where can you go to get a lesson for your kids in a private environment and get a genuine teacher wanting to share knowledge and safe practices for skate boarding?? This place is great! My two boys took lessons from Fred who is extremely methodical yet engaging for kids.
