Came to Fumeé on a Sunday evening. Made a reservation, but it wasn't needed. Plenty of seating. It's definitely meant for a younger crowd who doesn't mind the hookah smoke, but the atmosphere is nice. Darkly lit, nice modern, clean and well maintained decor and large TVs to watch the game. The music is loud, so don't expect to have a lot of conversation with a large table, but the music was good. We're in our 40s and they were playing R&B music from the 2000s, so we really enjoyed it. The drinks are expensive, but I enjoyed the flavor. It comes with a presentation too in case you're in to that. I wouldn't call them craft, but they are good mixes. The food was ok. The Brussels were pretty good and my friends enjoyed the truffle fries. We all had lobster in some form and the batter lacked seasoning, but the portion was good. While not my first time at Fumée, this was my first time for Saturday brunch. I was part of a large party of 12 celebrating a friend's birthday. When we first arrived it was busy but not packed. By the time we left, there was a wait to be seated. There was a DJ playing a good mix of music. Our party was immediately seated. Our server was super nice but seemed very overwhelmed by the large party. There were long gaps in our service. Some people received their food quickly while others had to wait and even reorder because their meals seemed to be lost. I ordered after almost everyone else but still received my food way before others in the group, despite having almost the same meal. Throughout the meal we had to make multiple requests for the same items. I ordered the breakfast bowl but subbed shrimp for the bacon. It was good. I would have preferred the cheese was melted. And the sauce was a little heavy. The portion size was decent. I finished the whole thing. A few people at our table ordered the shrimp and grits. There was an inconsistent number of shrimp provided with each order. We had to wait an excruciatingly long time for our checks. But our server did do a good job of making sure everybody's checks were correct. It was loud but the dj was doing an amazing job of mixing the oldies and current jams (they need a dance floor). It felt more like a large group karaoke bar by the time I was leaving. It makes up for the price of them because we didn't need to order more than one each. As far as food, the majority of us all had a pleasant experience. I will say one friend had dairy and meat restrictions so she wasn't able to enjoy anything other than a side of eggs because they wouldn't allow for changes to menu items. That's one thing that could be improved upon. The crab cake Benedict was amazing! A lot of restaurants offer small Benedicts, but I received two large ones. We also had wings, chicken and waffles, biscuits and gravy, and shrimp and grits without the sauce. The food was flavorful. We didn't purchase hookah, but a lot of the tables were enjoying it and all seemed to be having a good time. My friend and I stopped by Fumée on a Thursday evening around 8-ish to grab drinks and desserts after having a disappointing experience at another spot nearby. I had no idea what to expect upon arriving as I didn't do much research on the place beforehand. It's an upscale lounge/tapas bar. The inside is absolutely beautiful - kudos to the designer! Reservations for a table inside are required but there's seating at the bar and outside tables available for those, like myself, didn't make one beforehand. Unfortunately, the outside tables don't really get any service however - I'm assuming mostly when they are busy. I think we got one chance where we ordered with a server before nobody else came outside to check on us. We ended deciding to move inside at an open table near the bar. Again, we had no idea but this place gets loud (like hard to talk loud) and busy after 9:30-10 pm. The music was bumpin' and the place was packed. There aren't any specific waiters assigned to the un-reserved tables so you really have to find room at the bar or get someone's attention as they're walking by. Not ideal. Since this place is a tapas bar, their menu is quite limited however the items we did order were great! We ordered the sensational and sweet dreams cocktail, both were phenomenal. We also ordered the moist chocolate cake, which was divine. The only downside to Fumée is that I find it a little confusing. I feels like they are trying to be too many things at once. The mood to drink so I didn't get a cocktail, but the ones I say coming out to other guests looked really good! My only complaint really is that I wish the menu what more options. It's pretty small and not a lot of variety to me. Also, I wish they'd add some entree options. I was pretty hungry and didn't see much worth ordering for the prices since they're small plates. This place is clearly for a younger livelier crowd than I lol. And that's fine. It's sooooooooo nicely decorated inside. I mean it's a whole vibe truly. They did a great job with the decor and atmosphere. A whole DJ started talking on a mic and playing loud music at 9:50pm. That's completely fine, just no longer my speed or my friends lol. My friend ordered the salmon and Brussel sprouts, she said her salmon wasn't seasoned and was overcooked, however the Brussel sprouts were delicious! My cousin ordered their bbq chicken wings and said they were just okay. Overall, I'd come back to try some other items. I love the ambiance and the staff were friendly. They should work on their transparency concerning their fees and upcharges, etc. On their site they do mention that gratuity is added to each check however when you pay it suggests that you leave a tip, which confused all of us so on top of the gratuity we all gave an additional tip... The second one tasted earthy and wood, made me very nauseous. I went to the bathroom to try to throw up and all the servers were in there taking photos. The service was not good. Very slow. The server didn't check on us enough. Also, all of our food came out at different times. Like 10-20 mins apart for each person. By the time I got my food the first person who got their food was finished. The prices are okay. They have a special daily. I forgot to take a picture of my drink, but I got the espresso martini. That was really good. I think it was $8 on Sundays. The chicken and waffles were mid. The chicken was good but the waffles were hard. The experience was very underwhelming. I probably won't return. Went here with a large group of friends (8/9) for a brunch birthday celebration. Reservations for the large party was done via text and an easy process. The decor is top notch! The designer did a great job with the layout and choices for decor. Upon entry there's an outdoor patio area that gives a very "secluded, rain forest " feel with wild leaves and foliage. Very cute. Inside is a very dim, romantic mood with low lighting and emerald greens and gold tones. They do offer cigars on the outside patio with a view of the city. I started with the Mimosa Flight whiwh included 4 flavors & then had the Chicken & Waffles and the home potatoes (not ok the menu but ask for them). It was DEEELICUOSS.
