My go to place when i want good food, a drink and a quick drive instead of heading into the city. The energy in the place is always great, the staff is always helpful , the food is consistent and the drinks are great and priced reasonably. My only issue is the waitstaff, the last few times we went our waiter didn't come to our table for over 30-40 mins which made it difficult to order another drink or more food, also we kept having to ask other waitstaff. But lets get to the good stuff, the food. My go to for appetizers is the Fried Mozz which is breaded mozzarella, w/pomodoro, the Kale Caesar w/Focaccia croutons, pine nuts, & parmigiano-reggiano. For dinner we ordered the "Roni" pizza w/pepperoni, sausage, hot cherry peppers, fresh mozzarella , this is by far the best pizza on the menu and we always order it. We also got the Baked Ziti w/herbed ricotta, mozzarella, & pomodoro, oh my goodness this is so good ! Never disappoints. Been here several times idk what took so long for the reverse, but this place is 10/10. Always great customer service and ambiance. Been for lunch when calm and busy dinner time. Food is always on point freshly made and hot. Flavors are robust. Pricing is average, but worth it. Love how much the business has grown. A little disappointed. Their paper menus aren't up to date. I ordered the Fumo spritz which on the menu is elderflower, but got the grapefruit drink in the photo. The online menu lists the Fumo spritz as grapefruit so that must be the more updated menu. Basically paid $15 for a drink I didn't want. read more

At the last minute I needed a restaurant for a small gathering Fumo employees were great they accommodated me on short notice and had a large gable ready for me within 10-15 min. The space is comfy, feels clean and airy. For drinks most of my party got the Amelia it was a good choice not to sweet good taste. Of course others did get other drinks but this was the hit for us. For appetizer we tried the calamari and it was really good the fried one was made well, the spicy one had a great spicy I must say you have to try this because it was that good. For my entree my daughter & I ordered off the brunch menu, I got the French toast I wish I knew it was made out of banana bread I was not a complete fan. This was actually my 1st NYC neighborhood restaurant and I loved the aesthetic, simple elegance and playlist. Nice RnB Jams, some Rap like Rick Ross and other urban vibes. I sat at the bar with my sister, and the bartender Matthew F. was a delight. Made great conversation, suggested a few favorites, and is *heavy handed* with pouring mimosas (which we all love during a bottomless situation). They have the options of patio and indoor seating with a lot of family-table-style decor around the restaurant. The bar is the focal point when you walk inside through the outdoor patio, however the wood-fire pizza oven and tall stack of freshly chopped wood is a definite eye-catcher. I had the Eggs Benny (which you can get with or without Salmon Lox) which came on an English Muffin with potatoes. Gonna warn you, potato hash portion was a tad minimal, however the dish was very tasty. I also had the French Toast which was also yummy and not too sweet. We didn't have any menu cocktails this time, however I ordered a Godfather and the Amaretto used was perfection. Gotta definitely give it up to Angie, one of the managers. She was so kind and sweet and answered all of our questions. Not only did she help us expeditiously, she did so with a smile on her face the entire time. They have both indoor and outdoor seating with a light and airy feel outside with lots of greenery and a very subtle feel inside. During dinner, it is dimly lit and very cozy. The service at Fumo is fantastic. Each and every server has been enthusiastic, helpful, and attentive every time I have come. They are great at making accommodations when it comes to special requests for food or drinks. They can get very very busy on the weekends and in the evening so I would definitely try to get a reservation. The bar is first come-first served, but the hosts are helpful in trying to get you a table even if you are walking in without a reservation. I have not had a bad drink or meal off of the menu. Some of my favorite items on the menu are the kale caesar salad, penne vodka, and the buffalo pizza. Fumo is an absolute must and this will continue to be one of my favorite restaurants, not only in Harlem, but in Manhattan. read more

Super important to note that they have one of the best lunch specials in the neighborhood. $10 pasta bowls that you cannot beat and this deal applies to dine-in and takeout. I always get the Vegan Pesto Spaghetti but you can change the pasta if you want. If you're looking for something on the lighter side, one of my other favorite things to get is the Baby Spinach salad (which you can also get as a side). It has a delicious dressing with shaved carrots, grilled asparagus, avocado and candied pecans--SO GOOD!! Don't stop by if you're scared of carbs because I'm also going to recommend the focaccia bread but they do have cauliflower options if that's your thing. It's a great spot to celebrate special occasions as they have space for larger groups but also super cute for a date night, girls night or even a solo bite/cocktail. I have been to Fumo around 3 times now and it is a solid and reliable place to have a nice lunch or dinner. The ambiance is nice as the ceiling has leaves and flowers decorated all throughout. I have only been sat in their outdoor covered area so I cannot say much about eating inside of the building. They have $12 pasta on Tuesdays which is great for students, but they do not address the important detail that not every pasta is included in this deal. This is not written anywhere on their sign or their menu so we only found out after we got our check since we assumed every pasta was included since it was not said otherwise. Regardless, the pasta is always delicious and they have a wide variety so you can try a new one each time. The portion size is also perfect and is just enough to fill you up without having too much leftover. The service is decent and the waiters are usually friendly, but they do not come to check up on the table often. Nonetheless, I have never had a terrible experience here and everyone I have encountered working here is always pleasant. read more

I've ordered from here a few times but finally got to go in person. The place is super cute and was pretty empty on a Monday at 6pm. Our group ordered garlic bread and burrata+prosciutto, and I got the sausage rigatoni for my main. Everything was delicious! I've also had the meatballs, arancini, and fried mozzarella, all absolutely amazing. For dessert, we split a tiramisu and it was delicious, super light and fluffy. If you're a picky eater I would advice you to study the menu well before you come . We got the unlimited mimosas which was hitting .
