Have been there multiple times and have generally had a nice experience. Pasta and pizza are better than their entrees. However, tonight we ate there for a birthday dinner and the meatballs were inedible. They said " sorry they were made today" and did nothing about it and charged as for everything. Will not return. Had dinner here with a friend and got here during happy hour. For drinks, I ordered the red sangria and house wine from the happy hour menu. Both drinks were pretty decent. The staff and our waitress were all very friendly. Our waitress was so kind to bring us additional bread - both straight out the oven! There were quite a few specials this night, all sounded amazing, but the Farfalle con Salmone was calling my name! Apparently it's a customer favorite and I see why. My friends and I stopped by here for brunch after checking out the Hispanic Society Museum. The interior was cozy and expansive, with cute, sort of rustic decor. I had a hard time deciding which pasta to order. Finally went with the Strozzapreti alla Norcina, which consisted of sweet sausage, made with truffle cream sauce and porcini mushroom. This dish was oh so rich and creamy, with true taste of truffle. There was plenty of tender, juicy, well seasoned sausage and fresh perfectly cooked mushroom. For dessert, I couldn't resist getting the Dulce de Leche Molten Cake, since I am obsessed with everything Dulce de leche. This was plated stunningly, with homemade whipped cream on top, raspberry drops made into a flower, along with blueberries and sliced strawberries artfully placed. The cake was filled with sticky, sweet Dulce de leche, while outside was nice and moist. Service was excellent. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. He was very knowledgeable about the menu and all our food came out in a timely manner. Prices were reasonable. I would return to try the Pork Chop (dinner) or Strangozzi, which is homemade linguini with shrimp, veggies, and garlic olive oil sauce. read more

Spacious restaurant with exposed brick walls and a brick oven in the middle. Service is helpful and personable. Restroom is also spacious and kept clean. Happy hour is awesome: $10 Margherita, $7 house wine and $6 drafts. 4-6p Mon-Sun. The Margherita was tasty (Parmesan on top a nice touch), especially is you love thin crust. The Calabrese was fine, too (could have been spicier). Fried artichokes didn't have much flavor. Fried calamari were too plain and chewy. My sister and I had a pre-birthday celebration dinner at Bo-No and I must say the picky eater that I am, I WAS NOT disappointed! It was soooooo good - light, fresh and tasty! Next was the Arugula Pear salad with lemon dressing. The lemon dressing was well balanced and made this salad stand out perfectly. We had their Meat lovers brick oven pizza that had a light drizzle of hot honey! At first I was skeptical, as I'm not a spicy food person, but one bite and all my doubts vanished. My taste buds was in heaven. It was that good and a must try! My sister urged me to try their Chicken Milanese so we decided to split that order. Mid way through all I was thinking is WOW this is so good how can I pick a favorite from what we already ate since all was done to perfection! We finished our dinner with a cappuccino and a piece of tiramisu that had a raspberry drizzle. What a beautiful combination. I couldn't stop eating it. So light, tasty, not too sweet but just enough to go perfectly well with the cappuccino! The highlight of the dinner was the hospitality! Instantly noticeable! Giuseppe (the kids call him "Pepe") and Graziella not only showed their passion through the food made at this restaurant, but their hearts shined so bright when they greeted the patrons and enjoyed small talk with them. They truly connected with those dining in their establishment. What a wonderful sight to witness! This is the type of restaurant that stands out from all the rest. This type of hospitality is truly the heart of NYC, where restaurants specifically this one, engage with the patrons, show their appreciation and ensure your experience with them is nothing less than pleasing! This use to be my go to spot after work. This is a great neighborhood Italian restaurant. My work bestie and I would order the cider and some pasta. The service is always quick and friendly. My go to was their wild boars ravioli. It tastes fresh, umami, and well balanced. The portion size was a bit small to my liking but the quality was great and put care into the food. You can tell they make their own pasta. The cider is fresh but finishes dry. It's an affordable option that will get you feeling right. So good! I'm a fan of their creamy dishes including their grilled polenta and their Strozzapreti alla Norcina dish. I felt like they both were not overwhelming in their flavors and were so well-balanced. When you walk in, you can see their brick oven in full view and the decor is kinda rustic. They have high ceilings too which makes the space seem very roomy. We went on a Wednesday night and I'm not sure if they have fewer staff on Wed nights but the staff working that day need a raise! Took my now 10 year old here after over 5 years. We had Margherita pizza, two different salads including the beet, shrimp strangozzi and penne with bolognese. The food was all amazing though I do wish the shrimp was cleaner. The desserts were the best. Red velvet cheesecake YES. Dulce de leches lava cake YES YES and the chocolate gelato. All very good. Fresh ingredients and no misses on flavors. Service was good and the table enjoyed the organic pellegrino lemonata drinks. Great job Bono consistently good quality food all the way uptown. My go-to dinner spot for casual but elegant They have a wide variety of salads, pizza, and pasta. Their thin-crust pizza is always great to share with that special someone and the service is always friendly. I'm personally a big fan of the pera pizza which comes with a white base. Note: we're vegetarian but their other pizzas look amazing. I also tried the truffle and mushroom risotto, fried calamari, and a few desserts (a red velvet cheesecake and the lava cake). I was particularly impressed with the fried calamari. The octopus was cooked perfectly, seasoned well, and there was just the right amount of sauce for dipping. They also serve the dish with fresh lemon and they serve water by the bottle. You would be a fool to miss out on their restaurant week or happy hour specials. BOMB PASTA!! Considering we're living in a pandemic, I throughly judge restaurants on their adherence to protocols. This restaurant appeared to follow social distancing and face covering guidelines so they were off to a good start. As soon as you walk in, the aroma of fresh pizza makes your mouth water. My friend and I came here on a Friday night and were seated outside immediately. We ordered a pitcher of the red sangria and fried calamari. The calamari was delicious! I'm not a fan of the tentacle pieces and thankfully we didn't have any of those. The sangria was okay. My friend ordered the Strozzapreti alla Norcina. She substituted the sausage for shrimp. I ordered the Faralle con Salmone. I'm not a big fan of peas but I decided to order the meal as is. Both pasta dishes were delicious. The breadcrumbs in the Faralle con Salmone complemented the dish perfectly. I typically never finish my food but I cleared my plate. Next time I come back, I'll probably get what my friend ordered because who can't resist truffle lol. Only improvement I'll suggest is service could have been a bit better (e.g. checking in more frequently) but overall I'd highly suggest this spot if you love pasta and are in the area! read more
