Many libraries offer discounted passes, and one family we spoke with said they saved $10 per ticket. There are plenty of things for children to do at this well-staffed attraction. Animal petting is always a highlight. In addition to petting goats, sheep, and cows, children can sit in a chair while staff members bring over baby goats for them to hold in their laps. There are also larger animals to see up close and, in many cases, feed, including camels, horses, goats, cows, sheep, pigs, emus, and ostriches. They also have a wide variety of active play areas for children, including: * Jumping Pad & Bounce House * Sand Play * Gem Mining * Duck Racing * Playground * Adventureland * Moo Town, a small children's play town with a schoolhouse, grocery store, diner, cabin, and more We didn't use the new Cowabunga Splash Park because it wasn't quite warm enough, but it looks like a great addition. Next summer, we'll try to visit on a warmer day so the kids can enjoy it. Food, drinks, and ice cream are available in the park, and there are plenty of picnic tables. You can also bring your own lunch. It wasn't very crowded during our visit, and everyone had a great time. Today marked five years of our annual summer before school starts Davis Farmland trip. DF is such a…read morewonderful place for families with kids of all ages. There is so much to see and do, and it's the perfect spot for kids to run, explore, learn, and have fun. Everything is thoughtfully designed, the staff is friendly, and there are plenty of activities to keep little ones entertained. Activities: Multiple times a day they have a reptile show. Every hour they have a hayride that takes you out to a large pasture, seeing so many animals. There's a pony you can spend $10 to ride (90 pound limit for the pony ride). There's a giant splash pad with a giant blow up water slide, a foam pit, blow up slip n slides, sprinklers--so much! It's always where we end up last because the kids love it so much. You are welcome to bring in any food and drink to have while there, though there are multiple places throughout the park where you can get food and drinks as well. I do personally believe it is a bit expensive for a singular ticket ($40 ages 2 up), especially if you have multiple kids but you can spend open to close there so it is more or less worth the money. That all being said-- we had such a great time every time we visit, and it's definitely a place we'll continue coming back to. If you're looking for a fun, family-friendly day trip, I highly recommend Davis Farmland!

I ended up fitting in 2 whole games before I left (again, no one asked me to leave, even though I was on someone's assigned lanes, and there were maybe 10 minutes before league starting). What a fun experience, and everyone was so nice. It's a pity I don't live closer - but I'd definitely go again the next time I drive through. Everything seemed well maintained and very clean. I've gone to "the bubble" for years for soccer games with my kids (winter league) and also for two…read moreyears with one in their club soccer program. Regarding the latter, personal experiences with John Smith himself always fun, positive and entertaining - however rest of club experience was very disappointing, your mileage may vary, but I'm certainly not a fan based on my experience. This is a review of the facility being a venue for (winter) soccer league games, and this comes from many years of going there with two children for just that reason. If you have not been, the place is basically a large bubble\dome (think tennis bubble but much larger) that holds two walled turf fields built like hockey rinks with walls on all sides, and then PlexiGlass shields and nets in others designed to keep balls in play and away from spectators. Each field has metal grandstands on one side of the field for spectators. Amenities-wise, there is a small bathroom area, a tiny shop up front where you can buy basic soccer stuff, and\or uniforms if you are in the club program. They also have an inflatable play area suitable for young (under 10?) kids. At times they have also set up an inflatable laser tag game but I haven't seen it recently. Most of the time I'm there I see kids playing soccer or training for lacrosse in the two turf fields. There is also often a large contingent of local Ecuadorians playing volleyball on a side field. Lots of activity. The facility wasn't really 'nice' when I first started going years ago and if anything has gone downhill a bit since. It's always seemed kind of beat up and dirty inside. Their parking lot is dangerously unlit, and feels unsafe at night, especially in winter. You can't see the ground well, nor easily catch sight of the kids darting from the parking area to the front entrance. There isn't even an illuminated sign at the entrance that makes it apparent where to turn in for parking. The have changed food options several times over the years. For a couple years they had a snack bar that had a good selection of food and seemed to be staffed by really nice people. But it was often not open for night games. Then this winter I went in and was dismayed to find it was closed down, replaced by a row of (mostly I think) drink machines. One last thing - on one field spectators and players are on same side and can see the scoreboard clearly. But on the back field players and spectators are on opposite sides, and they hung the scoreboard so that the players can see it but spectators cannot without getting down from the stands and waking a few feet away to turn and loop up at it. It's really annoying that I pay for and drive my kids to the games for years, and I can't even see the score half the time. I've asked JSS staff about this, they don't care, and generally my impression of them is that they are really not very customer oriented. This is a shame because the location is perfect for serving the surrounding towns, and the kids really like playing indoor sports, but the facility is in desperate need of an overhaul and maybe a change in management.

Their website said they were open until 8pm, but after being there for an hour from 2-3pm they announced they were closing. I politely showed the website hours & was told they didn't have time to update the website yet, so I asked for a voucher because we were disappointed and I felt it was unfair & poor customer service. We were told no, and that she told me they were closing at 3 upon check-in (which nobody remembered hearing). I have never written a yelp review before but felt this was such poor customer service, really disappointed. It's not the money, it's the customer service. Would have made a big difference to show compassion & understanding in this situation.

Friendly, Fun and Good For All Levels!…read more I am writing this review as a newbie, but I planned and attended with 7 other people of different levels, ranging from the ages of 35-45. I traveled from California for a surprise birthday and had to plan it from afar. The staff was clear with all information regarding prices, rental equipment and description of what we would be doing for the day. Arrival: We all arrived right at 9am, signed in, and were able to pay individually(AMEX, MasterCard and Visa accepted). The cost was $58 each for a party, which included: * 500 rounds * gun * full mask(covers ears, forehead and down to chin) * two tubes on a belt to carry extra ammo * unlimited air * lunch with drink and chips (pizza/cheeseburger). $5 for additional lunch *2000 extra rounds is $65, ($40) if you have your own equipment. We bought 3 extra boxes for a full day with 8 guys. We had a few issues with equipment throughout the day to which the staff gladly fixed or swapped equipment. Let the games begin! There are two teams on the field(about 12-20 people per team), and being the less experienced, we got to start off defending a fort. There were some real pros out there, but people were all friendly, and it didn't deduct from our fun. Throughout the day, we played about 12 games (20 min each with about 10 min between), all with different scenarios. The course is 14 acres with tons of obstacles to hide behind. There are tons of trees and no open field. This is great for avoiding being hit, but can be trying to aim at your target through. 3 referees explain each game clearly, and take the course with you. They yell out if a man is hit, and make sure no one fires at them. They are strict with the rules but exceedingly helpful. Good for everyone: At one point, we had kids as young as 10 (many with professional equipment that could take us out from a mile away), men and women, and people as old as early 50's. It does require a good amount of walking, some climbing, and crouching. No one seemed to bully or push the boundaries of fair play. The Staff: I've peppered my review with comments about the staff, but since this was one of my biggest concerns, I'll give some more kudos. Being a first-timer, I felt like an idiot, well, most of the day. The refs would fix my gun in the field, check to see if I was actually hit, and direct me when I was totally lost. They were very heavy on the rules, nobody was hurt, and there were no arguments of real issues. The people working the office, food concessions, and equipment desk did whatever they could to make the day enjoyable. It's rare that you try something unfamiliar and have an incredible experience. Summary: 8 guys, different levels, different ages, and we all had a great time!
