This place has ALOT of potential! I'm up in West Palm Beach for a gig that my dance crew & I booked. Since its a two-day gig they put us up in a hotel & I being the mostest awesomest crew director ever spent time looking up fun things that we could all do while we were up here. So I stumbled onto this place. I honestly only chose this place 'cause it seemed like a more laser tag than its competitor Boomers. I'm giving this place a solid 3 stars because the crew and I had a lot of fun. Definitely a place for all ages. Saturday night they have a special Midnight Madness of $15 and you play unlimited go kart and laser tag from 10pm - till closing. I suggest you come on this night to take advantage of the place but also ONLY if you're coming at 10pm on the dot. With the waiting in line for Go Karts and Laser Tags, time can easily be eaten away in no time and it closes at midnight so if there's alot of people you might be able to hit up each section once or twice. Theres also a lot of awesome arcade games & a lot of throwbacks/vintage games that the older crowd would appreciate. The only issue is that there were a lot of defective machines. If they would spend more time fixing up the place, this would an awesome awesome place. Laser Tag was fun here but once again, outdated. Some guns weren't working properly and straps were broken, etc. I definitely prefer Laser Quest in Sunrise over here and Boomers. Food seems expensive here as well. Management needs to step it up. I went with my daughter on Friday and found myself waiting on employees who were to busy on their cell phones, eating food, and chatting. Multiple times I found myself feeling as if I was interrupting their day when ordering food, purchasing go kart tickets, or redeeming ticket prizes. I understand the employees are young but where is the supervision. When you spend the money we did there I would expect or should see a little better "class" from a long standing business. Back in the day, this used to be "the spot" for fun - now it's mediocre and becoming sad. Don't get me wrong, the staff is nice (as always) but when 45% of your machines are not working, you are losing about 45% more money/business. My best friend suggested we host our joined birthday party there, but I said, "Why pay that much when nearly half of their machines don't work? It's not worth it." THAT alone should push management to look into fixing things up. I spent about $40 last night in games and would have spent so much more if they were working. How can you have Time Crisis IV running, but only one gun & screen available to play? And Time Crisis II was having issues with the gun not picking up on the second screen. HUMILIATING INTERACTION WITH STAFF Upon contacting this business to arrange an event, the individual we spoke with called himself the Manager Josh. After getting limited info from this person we had requested speaking with the General Manager who was not available and his return to the Fscility was unknown. This purported Manager who named himself Josh "Ortega" proceeded to indicate the General Manager was not willing to share the GM name nor any other info on who was in charge. This is a cool place and it's close to our residence which is nice. It's very outdated though and could use a spruce over spruce up Haulover makeover. The laser tag area has been updated and is about the best thing besides the bowling that we like to do they did a good job at redoing the racetrack or race cover area over the cars so that's bad. They should hang out there for a little while and bring back some ideas on how to improve their area and make it a better local attraction in Palm Springs instead of just a average mediocre place that has lots of games that are outdated and not too much fun anymore. But my son loves Lakers laser tag so we'll keep going. read more

I want to share the horrible experience I had last night. I called this place two days before arriving and talked with a guy who claimed to be the manager. We agreed that I will come with a group of 15 people and buy all-you-can-play tickets to all of us. He said there is no problem so we agreed that we will be there at 8pm and stay until it closes, at 11pm. I arrived there last night with my group and asked to buy the tickets to all of us. The lady who was in charge, who also called herself 'The Manager', was very rude to me and my group in a way that left us completely in shock. First of all, she said that they decided to close at 10pm because there are not enough customers. Then she said that we won't be able to use the go-carts. When I told her that I talked to the manager and he said that they close at 11pm, she said that she does not care and that she does not believe me that I talk with him. I asked her to call him to confirm it and she said she doesn't want to do it. It is important to mention that the whole time she was playing with her phone and barely even looked at me. She kept saying that it doesn't worth it for them to keep this place open because there are no customers and 15 people (my group) will not make them rich. When I asked for her name, she did not want to say it and asked us to leave this place and never come back. At his point, she left the cashier area while me and my friend are talking to her and said she doesn't want to talk with us anymore. We asked the other two employees for her name and they did not want to give it away(!) When she came back 5 minutes later, I took a picture of her and she called the police! Honestly, I am not sure if she really called the police or just tried to threaten us. Anyway, her behavior was extremely unprofessional, to the level that I truly thought she is doing it on purpose in order to get terminated by her boss. She is a very rude person with zero knowledge of any aspect of customer service. Me or any of my friends will never go back to this place and will recommend to all of our friends to not go there. If it would have been only one employee that is rude, I would think it is just an employee that is very bad in what she does, or maybe someone who really wants to heart this place by proving terrible customer service. But the truth is that the other two employees were rude as well, which get me to a conclusion that this is just the organizational culture of this company. It is a shame, because it looked like a nice place when we just arrived there. I am adding photos of the rude personnel. You can realized what's the level of customer service we got from them just by looking at their rude, unhappy, and unpleasant facial expressions. The manager should have shut that down immediately, but it continued on long enough that the child's parent was called and showed up!! Then the same employee was allowed to argue with him!!! Fun Depot; its great for birthday parties, to hangout, or just to waste some time. The only thing that sucks about Fun Depot is that kids are being kids. When we used to go here the kids bump into your kart, hit your kart on the side and make you spin out, and even kids cheating in Laser Tag. They hide in one spot near the recharge station and keep getting you out to score points, it makes the game very boring. I don't know how much that changed since then. It could definitely need a makeover to make it more modern and attract more people. Maybe buy unused property next door to expand the lot? And instead of mini-bowling... maybe add a full size bowling alley? read more

I took my daughter there this morning unplanned. We had a fun time. If you check in you can get two rounds of the go-karts. We elected to use the other round when we come back. You add money to a players card of sort and your tickets are loaded into the card. Kind of a disappointment because it's gratifying seeing your tickets come out of the machine. The games on the far side were cheap .50-$1.00 to play and they had a few games that my daughter could play (she's 6). I'm glad I went early because as we were leaving the summer camp kids were coming in. I'd return there. $16 and we got about 1.5 hours of good old fashion fun. read more

There is no guarentee what time the workers will decide to shut down the place any given night. Showed up with a group of 9 guys at 8 PM on a Thursday. Paid $20 per person to play laser tag and half the arcade (excluding the ticket rewarding games). The go-karts were shut down because of rain. One worker said they were closing at 10:00 and another said maybe 10:30. All advertising says open til 11 including the posted sign on the door. Not to mention that we called a couple days ahead and asked what time they'd be open on Thursday and they said 11 (I guess I just mentioned it). Sure enough at 10:00 the games all shutdown and 3 minutes later all the lights were shut off. Some were still inside, including in the bathroom, as the workers yell, "anyone still in here, let's go!" It was pitch black in there! Another 3 minutes later the doors were locked, cage door shut and workers gone. I've never seen anything like it before. They already had our money so why stay open another hour? They had other things to do. The laser tag equipment and facility are out dated and the most fun arcade games aren't included in the $20. read more

Awesome experience for the family.. Loved all the different games from laser tag, to go karting, and everything you could imagine at an arcade. At a very resonable rate. The batting cages are being redone so they won't be available until late 2016. Only drawbacks lots of young people that work there customer service lacked they weren't rude, but you could definitely see they weren't happy to be there. No Hello's or how can I help you except from the young lady at the prize stand. Bathrooms were nice, but dirty urine smell and toliet tissue everywhere. Not much of a selection for food pizza $14 a pie was actually very good and fresh, drinks were 2.75 medium (no refill) 3.75 large (free refills) best deal to me*, pitcher was $6.00-5.50 I believe (no refills) hot dogs, usual topping chilli and saukerat didn't try, they were out and stated it would be 40 minutes! Nacho's with cheese and chilli not appetizing looking, and ice cream, chips and cookies. One thing I enjoyed was that the tickets that were won, were added on to the card, they used to pay for the games so they weren't having to haul around a bunch of tickets. My nephew called it his credit card lol. Great experience for the kids like it better than Chuckie Cheese. Would recommend and come back.Just wish they offered wings, fries, sub's and slushies. This is a very typical "Dave n Busters" type of venue. It obviously is not at the same stature of its competitors, but it does provide for a pretty exciting family night. At first it was not exactly what you would expect from an arcade type venue, but I will say this...The laser tag arena was the highlight of my time there. If it was not for the laser tag, I probably would rate a bit lower, but it was well worth the attendance in my book. The reason for a three star rather than 4 or 5 was the prices. They do have special deals on certain days, but if you show up on a regular day, you can expect a pretty high tab to play games, laser tag, or go karts. All in all, it was a fun spot! read more

Went to fun depot at 8 o clock and the time posted online as well as all of their pamphlets say that on mondays they close at 10 o clock. So my husband and I decided to take our two kids here and spent over 100 dollars for all the games and activities to get shut down an hour early. We were only able to go on the go karts once because of a line and only able to play a handful of games. We asked why all the games were shut down early and an employee told us they're closing early bc business was slow. No Customer service at all The staff here is very rude and Amateur no good Customer service at all two young staff members were very rude yelling and cussing at me in front of my kids because I was adjusting my mask. Took my kids and nephews here multiple times, I love it where I can race them on the go-kart track and beat them. For the price it's not that bad. If you get an all day pass or unlimited pass, it's pretty fun, even for adults. Worst experience in my life!!! Before we came we called and confirmed the time they were closing. So we drove a hour to get here and we arrived before they closed and on the website it said they closed at 11 pm! And we arrived before then. We get here and they are closing so we're all in shock and we go talk to the staff to see what's going on and some said we closed early because nobody was here and saying there's a manager and just left. There's plenty to keep them busy for a few hours of fun... from arcade games to laser tag and go karts both kids and adults can find something to keep them entertained. I recommend buying the unlimited pass if you plan on staying for at least 2 hours. They're birthday party rooms are good for both children and teenagers and will ensure their guests have a fun-filled day of games and entertainment with their complimentary card with bonus bucks. The food court is limited with the typical fast foods (pizza, hot dogs, chips, soft drinks...) which personally I don't care for or recommend. They do have an ice cream counter but doesn't seem to be the best quality as it appears to be filled with food coloring. My suggestion is to go for a few hours of fun then out for a bite elsewhere. I came here once or twice as a kid on field trips and it was always fun. I most recently came back 3 months ago with family and we had a blast. I ended up paying $50 for two of us (I also got a $10 bonus), which was enough for plenty of arcade games and two go-kart rides. Keep in mind that it can get a bit pricey if you bring a lot of kids. Took the kids to Fun Depot. I went exclusively to use batting cages. the batting cages were broken. So I figured I would just hang out in their cafeteria eat some food and play on my phone until the kids were done. Then I was told I'll be charged an additional $10 to enter the building while waiting for my kids. I took my 6 year old son here and we had a blast! There are many things to do to stay busy and have fun. Laser tag and the go carts were really fun, and they have every game you can imagine! This is like a watered down version of Dave and Busters with arcade games for all ages, batting cages, go karts, laser tag, bowling, and food. All of the money and prize tickets are put on a "game card" which makes it easier to carry around and keep track of. The batting cages have both baseball and softball at different speeds. You can change the height using the buttons next to where you load the coins (which we figured out too late). If you need a larger bat than the ones they have outside, you can get one inside at the counter in exchange for your license. The go karts seem to be on the small side, and the course looks too short and simple for our taste. We didn't get a chance to check out the laser tag, but it seems to be popular. Overall, this is a decent place to have fun for cheap and given its proximity, we'll likely be returning. read more

A group of us had about 2 hours of fun here this weekend. I found it to be clean and well-staffed. Go-karts and Laser tag are BOGO if you check in with the Yelp app. Nearly all of the games that we played were in well working order, and the money that was eaten by defective arcadery was reimbursed to us without question. The arcade selection was much better than I anticipated as there were lots of classics for a guy like me in his 30s to appreciate. What really did it for me was the amazing collection of pinball machines. We plan on coming back for some more fun in the near future. read more

It's tough when I'm a thousand miles away, but the gesture is appreciated. === The staff closes shop early with precision and efficiency rivaling the Allied Forces invading Normandy. More on that later. I arrived with a group of friends the other night. We went on a rainy Thursday evening, so go-karts weren't a thing. I understand that. As with everything our $20 unlimited pass had its limits. No ticket earning games. Again, I get that. It would have been cool if Ski Ball could have just not dispensed tickets that evening or something. Not a deal breaker though. The first major disappointment was laser tag. It seems like a flagship product for this company. I really want to root for local business, but I don't think they've updated laser tag since the early 2000s at best. Just watch the cheesy instructional video if you have any doubts. Each time I played there was no telling if it would take 2 seconds or 10 to "energize" my gun after I had been shot. Even with relatively small teams (6-8 people) this can leave 4 people standing around trying to charge up. The post-game stats were pretty mediocre. Team points, personal hits and personal deaths, and that's about it. Modernizing the laser tag gear should become a priority for the management. It's getting embarrassing. The real disappointment was the early closing. They were supposed to be open until 11 the evening I was there. They closed at 10. When you buy an unlimited ticket you're saying I think I can get $20 worth of fun between now and when I need to leave. When they close an hour early that really messes with the perceived value. When we arrived it was we might close at 10:30 tonight. So we bought in. By 9:00 they were announcing one hour left. At 10:00 on the dot the machines unceremoniously shut down. By 10:05 the building was empty, the roll-up security gate was closed, and the staff was completely gone leaving us standing outside the building. This place has some great gems. Plenty of racing games, dance games, classics, pinball, space for laser tag, go-karts, tons of potential that seems to wallow in a lack of management and capital investment. Businesses don't stay open on cruise control. Hopefully ownership will make some investments and decide the hours matter. (At least decide they matter during unlimited evenings.) Fun Depot is no high-end entertainment center, but it served our purposes well! We came here back in March for my husband's birthday fun (along with Alyson M.) - hey we're all still kids at heart! The laser tag portion was set up much better than any other place that I've been to (Boomers, Off the Wall, etc.). The games last 10 minutes each and that's plenty of time to work up a sweat and annoy some little punks. We also had fun go-karting, but as mention, there's not much supervision. There's also a huge difference in speed in some of the karts, which can take away from some of the fun. Overall, we only paid $16/each for 2 hours of unlimited go-karts and laser tag and all of us adults had a really fun time. I would go back at nighttime again, when the place isn't covered with little kids, but would not pay the full prices. Also, be aware that they are located in somewhat of a sketchy area. We didn't have any problems and there was a state trooper patrolling from the front entrance, but I assume this is because they have had problems in the past. read more

A fine place to take kids for a couple of hours if you've got some money to spare. It isn't cheap but my son does love it and what mom wouldn't sacrifice getting hair and nails done (for example) to see their kids smiling and happy. Unfortunately it lasts for about an hour and a half and then Mom's out of $. All in all though the place is kept nicely and bathrooms are clean. Haven't eaten their food (pizza I think) and surprisingly a salad on the menu but I hosted a bday party for my son there and brought my own cake. No hassle, kid party. We go here rather frequently (only one kid) so when mom has a bit extra in the piggy bank I treat the boy to a good time. He saves his tickets for the good toys (which usually take 1000s of points). I had an exceptional night with my family and friends at Fun Depot.It was exceptional until I was blatantly yelled at by the "go kart director". My kart broke down in the middle of the track and I got up and waved for help. This wasn't even a quarter way through the track. The man that came to help me was pleasant. Yet the man in the "go kart house" screamed at me on my way by. He yelled at me for doing my second lap. I explained I had only gone one lap since my cart broke down but he proceeded to lecture me that I shouldn't have gotten out of my cart and that is why I shouldn't be doing a second lap. After I concluded my second lap the man called me over to his podium and said "I'm going to have to ask you to stay of the GoKarts." Lucky my family and I were leaving following this last go kart ride. We left and will not be returning thanks to that "go kart director." read more
