Did not have a good experience especially with being a new customer. Scheduled an appointment so that hopefully the car would not just sit. Dropped it off on a Thursday and received a call that same day with the initially items identified (obvious visual things). Was told that I would receive an estimate on Friday with the obvious issues. Things were looking promising at this point. On top of the obvious issues, I had a list of other issues that would take some diagnosing. Did not receive any estimates or calls for over a week. Decided to give them a call the next Friday and they did not have any updates for the other items listed. A few days ago, out of the blue, my E46 330i started making screeching noises upon startup and throughout the drive. I brought it into Funfzhen for an inspection and they went above and beyond in their inspection finding things that other places (even Crevier BMW) didn't find. Ken was very patient in explaining to me what was wrong and the parts associated with it. He was very honest and very upfront about what needed to be fixed urgently and what could wait, never pushing me to replace things unnecessarily. I ended up replacing the Drive Belt Tensioner and Idler Pulley. This repair in addition to an oil change was completed all within an hour and a half. I brought my 2001 540i here a while back for an oil change and they did a complimentary inspection and told me about a couple of things that needed to be taken care of. Nothing too major but some things that would affect ride quality. Eli was extremely helpful and friendly and answered all of the questions I had about parts, performance and maintenance. I left feeling confident in the work they do. Its easy to see, especially because of all the gorgeous E30s and other high end, performance-oriented BMWs here. I'm back to write this review because my alternator decided it was going to take a dive and I called up Funfzehn. Rhuel (hopefully I spelled that right) was extremely courteous, allowed me to talk about the issue with him and we both agreed it probably was the alternator. He squeezed me into their already busy schedule and told me he'd call me in a couple of hours to let me know the deal. Two hours later, he called me and confirmed the issue and mentioned a few other things that were laid out from the first inspection, however, the immediate issue was definitely the alternator. He let me know that they could have it done by the end of the day and they stayed true to that despite being a last minute "walk-in." I told him to go ahead with the repair and I was back in my car at 4PM on the dot. I appreciate the run down Rhuel gave me on the other repairs that are needed. Most shops just want to collect your money and have you be on your way but he was professional and courteous when answering all of my noob mechanic questions. Things I'm sure he's heard a thousand times from someone just trying to save a buck. Still, he answered all of my questions without ever rushing the conversation. There's a lot to be said about the softskills in this industry, its a place where Funfzehn excels. I've done some repairs on my car and it can be an all-day affair for a novice and for something that looks simple. I have serious respect for the work that all of the people here do. This shop just opened a month ago and I would have to say Ken is extremely knowledgeable and the most genuine and kind person in this industry.
