I am a big fan of this place. I recently moved and letting go of your neighbor Chinese spot is a tough breakup. I'm skeptical about trying new Chinese places but this spot had the highest ratings on Yelp so of course, they were my first pick. I have tried two other spots in the area and this one surpasses them in a few different areas in my opinion. Most of all, I like that I'm able to walk and grab my order. The walk doesn't make me feel bad for the absolute feast that's about to go down in my house. The staff actually pays attention to requests which I appreciate because I love duck sauce. I'll usually grab a chicken and broccoli with veggie fried rice. The combo comes with an egg roll. The egg rolls are definitely a hit or miss, each time it's been different. I prefer an egg roll that's fried longer and has crunch but isn't messy. I have had a soft and oily egg roll and that put me off for a while. I tried one recently and it was good and definitely not as heavy on the oil. The french fries are always crispy and perfectly salted, but I think they'd still be great without the salt. read more

I've been aware of Fung for a while because its 4.5 Star Yelp rating for a primarily Chinese takeout spot jumps off the screen. Finally, I ordered through Door Dash. I thought Fung was pretty good for delivery Chinese. My favorite item was the Singapore Chow Mei Fun. The thin noodles seemed to be flavored with a bit of mildly spicy curry. It came with a variety of meats, eggs, veggies and shrimp. The shrimp were small Bay style shrimp, but they were cooked perfectly. I loved the flavor and noodle texture. I will order this dish again. I don't know why I always order the two item special combos. The combos never include the best of what a place can make. But I do it again and again because my mind is like "why try one thing when you can try two?" Here I went with General Tso's Chicken and Beef and Broccoli. It came with an egg roll and pork fried rice. Everything ranged from pretty good to good. A couple of the beef pieces were very chewy, but others were fine. Solid inexpensive takeout quick order Chinese, I found them on Yelp and ordered on Yelp. When I arrived a few minutes later, I only had to wait a couple of minutes before my order was ready. They have a pretty solid COVID protocol here with a plexiglass partition and plastic curtain between the lobby and the kitchen area, with the one cashier wearing her mask properly as she passed my lunch through a narrow slot. She also provided some hot mustard packets upon request. Unwrapping lunch at the nearby park (dining al fresco!), I had a good portion of food for the price. Choose two and then choose a rice, I had beef and broccoli (I didn't care for the sauce) with spare ribs and a pork fried rice. Quite good, packed in a three-way container with a fork and some napkins. Delicious meal, very high in carbs and fat, but that's what vacations are all about. Pretty good Chinese takeout restaurant. You get a lot of food for the price. I was craving General Tso's chicken and this place hit the spot. Very solid Chinese food for decent price. We got dinner combos. I got sesame chicken and chicken and broccoli for mine, and both of them were very solid, especially the sesame chicken. Perfect comfort food. My fiancé got the chicken tenders with his combo. We both got the pork fried rice which was delish. The egg rolls that came with the combo were really mediocre. Definitely the worst part of the meal. For sides, we got low mein and crab rangoons. The crab rangoons were great, though i wish they came with chili plum sauce instead of the generic sweet and sour sauce. And the low mein was also super tasty! Overall, very solid comfort Chinese, and good bang for your buck. read more

I've ordered from Fung about 5 times now over the past year. I know some places have good days and bad days, so I got a good average on how the food is. My conclusion is this is your average local reliable Chinese spot. Nothing here will blow your socks off but it's good and reliable. The service is fair. They do have a glass/plastic wall when picking up food inside which is always a little confusing to communicate with the staff. read more

I havent ate chinese in 2 years because I generally eat healthy but I had a craving so I found this place last night. They delivered to me in wethersfield which is a plus. I ordered boneless spare ribs, pork fried rice, chicken wings, and sweet n sour chicken. Came with an eggroll. The was was good, I was impressed. They even have the big chicken fingers - which is hard to find in around here. Too many places you order chicken fingers and get little popcorn balls..but this place has it right. One of my favorite new places to order from and pictures would have been included if I didn't gobble it up so quickly! They are a typical chinese takeout restaurant with great flavor. The portion sizes are quite generous as well and if you're a sucker for Crab rangoon like I am, you will certainly enjoy the ones from here! So dissatisfied I ordered shrimp fried rice with chicken wings I ordered two of these with two shrimp rolls. For 26.50 bit pricy for Chinese food . My egg rolls smelled bad and my damn chicken wings were refried I hate when restaurants do this shit and refry chicken at that price I shouldn't be eating refried chicken . How I know when chicken is refried it gets dry not juicy and it has a different taste and the color changes pay attention people. Good food at great prices. As an x-over-the-road truck driver.... When it comes to the East Coast...Fung Chinese Restaurant is the Best I've had. That carries a lot of weight because I have had the pleasure to eat in many locations across the country. They had to close down for a while because of the pandemic and considering what happened I understand but I was so happy when they opened up again they have adapted and are going strong again. They are one of the few that actually offer shrimp fried Shu Mai and if you haven't had it but you enjoy seafood you definitely have to try. I've eaten here a lot so I have tried different items on the menu and I have to say I have not been disappointed on any occasion they have pretty decent portions and excellent prices. My go-to dishes are the beef lo mein and chicken and garlic sauce. I just got back from Florida and I had Chinese food in four different locations but these guys are still number one on my list. I normally order for pickup but when I order for delivery I usually get my food within 20 or 30 minutes tops I've never had to wait longer than that even on weekends. If you want to pick up I suggest ordering 15 minutes before showing up and your food should be ready by the time you pick up. read more

I really enjoyed this! It's the classic Americanized Chinese food that you look for. It's not greasy like other places. A very clean operation. I got vegetable lo mein, pork egg roll, general tsos chicken, and crab rangoon. The lo mein noodles were a little over cooked whereas the crab rangoon could have been crispier and cooked longer. This is not a fancy restaurant, but the food portions are generous. Since I ordered at the counter, I had to wait 10 minutes; although, they do take phone orders. The flavor of the General Tso's platter was just as I expected: clean tasting, hot temperature, and tasty. I placed an order on their website and after waiting for 45 minutes they decided to call me claiming they didn't want to drive to my house.
